[Q] just used firewater - AT&T HTC One (M8)

super painless, incredibly easy.
i do have a question, I'd like to flash the 1.16 radio but it seems like the prerequisites call for Super CID.
Did firewater handle that? is there anyway I can check myself?

I believe you only need super cid if you're flashing a radio that was not meant for your particular device. I think the 1.16 radio is just the att updated radio that was in the ota update for our phone.

you needed soff to get super cid

Look at your boot loader. Fastboot oem writecid 11111111 changes it to super cid. Fastboot oem writecid cws__001 changes back to att
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Mine says Cid CWS 001
So if I needed super Cid that's the command I would input to fastboot?

TAMPEERED (in Gray)
UNLOCKED
SHIP S-ON
HBOOT - 1.33.0001

My ROM is Supercharged hatka

I believe you need to do this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149417
Then, change the CID and then you can S-off your device and change ROM
Someone confirm?:highfive:
Edit: Also, check to see what Kernel you're using
And get GooManager and update your twrp recovery [my suggestion]

You need to use that first link and remove the OTA [2.04 build] and revert back. Then you can go down the road of s-off'ing your device. As always, follow the directions of each link I posted. I'm sure you can S-off, but you're a few steps away.
I suggest you flash DSB's 3.1.3 Kernel. It's been very stable for me.
Wait for someone else to respond too, but I'm pretty sure this is all that you need to do
I deleted all the relevant APk's of the OTA
I installed the CID-2.APK but it's still shows me VZW_001 :<
can i S-OFF my device without the changing my CID ? (probebly it's will not benefit me a lot..)
btw
Can i change rom or i'm stuck with "hataka" ?

I think you need to flash this file to remove it, not just delete related APK's.
As for CID
For this to work [S-off], you must be HTCdev unlocked and have superCID

Your CID can't be VZW_001
And of course you can flash another ROM other than Hatka, that's just one of the options

When i said that i deleted those apk h i mean that they removed with this script, sorry about the missunderstanding.
Here is my cid via cid getter .. maybe the cid getter mistake and i need to check with the fastboot command?

If you see something else (e.g. VZW__001) then reboot normally and try the process again.

If it didn't change, I guess try a couple more times and use the fastboot command
Go on your computer and do the command to read the cid. Cid getter is buggy and shows the vzw one no matter what.

got to my laptop at home, did fast boot getvar cid :
CID : 222222222
should i now do the S-OFF guide without any problems ??:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Now that you mentioned it in the other thread, it won't matter anyways because he also has the OTA.
@Incident, you're going to have to wait till they fix the OTA issue before you can press on.
Correction:
For this to work, you must be HTCdev unlocked and have superCID (custom recovery/root is optional), see the thread below for help and information regarding obtaining superCID, unlock, etc. If you have taken the OTA for the DNA (sw version 2.xx) without FIRST obtaining superCID, there is no superCID nor s-off method for you currently. Note this thread is provided for convenience only
Looks like you can do S-off, but do it at your own risk.

I think that CID-GETTER app is buggy , look my result in the cmd :
c:\ADB + Fastboot + Drivers>fastboot getvar cid
cid: 22222222
finished. total time: 0.000s
so i can do the S-OFF "without" worries ?

Agree, it says in the S-off thead that as long as you're unlocked and have CID you should be good to go

The only way to revert to S-on, is to enter this command in fastboot:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Warning: you MUST be on an oem stock hboot variant to use this command. Otherwise you WILL brick your phone.

[Q] Change CID Back to AT&T from DEV EDITION

Is there a way to change my cid back to the att version if I have converted to the stock developer edition and am currently running 4.3? I tried revone s-off but that is a no go... I need to do a warranty exchange through HTC because my mic is busted...

sure it's no problem just run fastboot
reboot your phone to bootloader (Power+Vol Down) / plug in to PC you should be in fastboot usb
from your fastboot location on your PC just open a command window and use these
fastboot oem writecid CWS__001
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
if your returning the phone here's the RUU for AT&T

Instructions for Flashing RUU Zip Files:
Download the RUU.zip file and place in your ADB/fastboot folder. I would recommend renaming the zip file to something simple like ruu.zip.
Boot your phone into the bootloader by holding the power and vol up/down buttons at the same time until you see the bootloader screen or if you have your phone booted you can use the ADB command:
adb reboot-bootloader
Now use these fastboot commands:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Should see the Silver HTC logo. Now issue this command to flash your phone using the ruu.zip file:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
Now the first time you issue a command to flash firmware/ruu in fastboot it only prepares the flash. You have to issue the exact command again:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
The green status bar usually does not reach the 100% mark. When the output in the command window is complete, you can reboot:
fastboot reboot

A RUU doesn't change the CID, and you can't flash the developer RUU without changing the CID from CWS__001 because of CID mismatch.

Reunlock help on latest OTA

I ruu'd this morning and install all the otas (as well as newest)
I tried to unlock the bootloader with "fastboot.exe oem unlock" but just gets an error but on the bootloader it says "relocked"
I might just be incorrect about being able to unlock or i might not
bootloader info
hboot 1.54.0000
cid vzw_001
also says MONARUDI PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
Thanks
Did you attempt to load a custom recovery? You should be able to do this s-off via hboot fastboot commands. Then flash the unlock zip via custom recovery.

Nope only tried Unlocking
You have to have the original unlock bin file or use the unlock flashable zip.
