is anybody able to install mysms ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mysms.android.sms&hl=de )
i get the "device not compatible" message.
how can i fix this? i really like mysms to write messages from pc and i really want it back because all my conversations are stored there.
I don't see any issue with my Nexus 5. By the way is there any alternative to mysms as I got to know it is soon going to be a paid application.

Hi
Might be missing the obvious here but this is my first Sony Android device. Sometimes my Z2 might have trouble sending an SMS text message and I get the message "could not send" with a red emoticon. With my previous HTC devices, I was able to click on the message and select 're-send' however that option isn't available to me on the Z2. Right now, all I can do is re-type the same message but surly there is an alternative?
Thanks[/I]
Hi
Turns out it was a fault with my phone. I returned the phone to EE and the new phone works fine. To anyone else experiencing this issue, you should have the option to re-send after long clicking on the message.
Would have really appreciated someone helping me out with that.
I had sent like 700 msgs in groups. Very few actually went out and now i have deleted all msgs but cannot get rid of the msgs failedpopping all over my screan.and i can't seem to delete them in any other way. How do i get rid of the not sent and why were they not being sent?
I came across something today that I would like to ask, everyone knows that when your going to make a phone call go online or send a message that android asks you what you want to use, like for instance usually when I send someone a message it asks how I want to send it through hangouts, text message, whats app etc etc, but today I noticed that it asked me if I wanted to send my message using titanium backup or android tuner, why is this? Can you actually use them to send messages? As your probably aware I am new to android and rooting so no very little, so any info on this would be great thanks very much.

Windows 10 Your Phone and the Your Phone Companion app on Play Store allows you to send and receive text messages from your computer. It can sync items from your device, not 100% about MMS messages as I have not had a reason to send one just yet. This is the closest I can find that works good so far... I am sure there are other apps out there, this is the first one I found.
If you have T-Mobile at all using the Digits app is also a good way to gain access to texting/calling from a computer.
Myself I use both of Your Phone (and companion app) as well as the digits service. So far both apps/services work really good, no issues as of yet
Just recently successfully made the Nova launcher my default launcher and while doing that, I also made my default sms app a third party. Now, the phone doesn't prompt me with having to make it a default, but I have a new problem with the third party now anyone know any way around this?
I tried uploading screenshots of the messages that pop up, but that doesn't seem to be an option. Before I send a message, I get prompted by the system this:
"Mood (my third party)" wants to send a chargeable SMS. Please input your fingerprint and verify your identity to send it.
It asks me that every time I send something, but besides that, everything else is fine. After I use the fingerprint, it sends, but doing that all the time is not possible, so it becomes inconvenient. Help?

Go to app management in settings ...default apps and select SMS app you want.
I tried it. Doesn't even show my third party as an option.
Hey,
So I know I have a 7x pro and not a regular 7 but there are no forums created yet for the 7x pro and I figured I would post here. I think this is a general color os issue.
Things I have done to my phone (using adb):
1. Removed stock messaging app (sucks big time) and made google messages default
2. Removed the realme login app (I tried signing up but it automatically puts an +86 as a country code and I couldn't sign up)
3. Removed Breeno (I Don't Speak Chinese)
4. Installed All Gapps
Now that I have Gmessages as my default app I still get the occasional stupid "Hint" message (but that's not what I'm here for) and now I'm getting a message that says "Messages is trying to send a payment request message. Please login to verify your account." It pops up randomly and other times it just asks if I'm sure that I want to send message (which works). I think (from testing) this only affects certain sms messages, RCS and MMS seem to work fine. Any help to disable this issue would be greatly appreciated. Short of checking the chinese forums I have looked everywhere with no luck.
you cant disable that mesaage you can only use the default sms app built into realme ui if you dont want that message request payment. i had signal working great without the message but will only work on end to end encrypted users so your contact that sends you the sms must also have signal installed. hopefully when eu rom comes out we can find a workaround.
