Does your TV is certified for mirror link?

Yeah it is. Its the New 2014 model w8 series. I get an error, something about HDCP. I dont knobw what it is. What is the right channel? Sorry for my bad english :-?

Ok, after reserche,:
This is because of unlocked bootloader...
If you lock again, it should work..
But i'm not sure,
Tell me if it works then...

I am not interesting to lock the bootloader and lose root i just ask for a fix or a work around this issue but thanks for help

I get the HDCP error even with locked bootloader.
Chromecast, DNLA & MHL work fine but now joy for miracast.
I ordered another miracast dongle to see if it work even though my other device supposedly meets all the certifications.
I read something about an xposed module that will let you disable the HDCP check but I'm not sure if works on the Z2. I think we'll probably just have wait for something like a CM ROM with HDCP setting in developer options for it to get past the HDCP error.

Are you unable to have Root with Locked Bootloader?

Thats Strange cuase i know the problem is unlocking the bootloader. Its the DRM Keys. Evin If i relock it doesnt help. Everything Else is working. Throw from walkman, album and movie works great.

Because the DRM Keys are lost. Relocking do not restore DRM Keys.

At this point I'm just thinking my Z2 doesn't like to play with that particular miracast device. I'll find out how does on the new one in few days if I haven't unlocked my bootloader by then(really sucks not having root). I was also thinking of trying a firmware version from another region(currently TW ver).

A friend of mine has the Z2 also,
Locked bootloader and also sony tv.... mirroring works fine...

[Q] Bootloaders

hi,
i'm considering to buy the xperia tablet z 32GB. but i've some concerns about the bootloaders.
how can i know if the tablet i'm about to buy has a unlockable bootloader or not? is there any visible way to know? i'm considering to buy it at a informatic store fnac. it's not an operators brand so what's the probability that their tablet have locked bootloader? from what i've read locked bootloaders usually come from branded devices, right? so, if the tablet they have in exhibit has an unlockable bootloader does that mean all the other tablet in that stora are the same?
thanks
I bought my Tablet Z at a department store and my bootloader is NOT unlockable. I am happy with the stock kernel, as long as I can root and install a working recovery.

I had no earthly clue that some were unlockable and some weren't...... What exactly is the difference between them?

i think you need to unlock the bootloader to flash all the kernels and roms. also, things like dual boot need unlocked bootloaders to work.

I know what unlocking a bootloader does, why you have to unlock it, etc. I was under the impression that ALL the Xperia Tablet Zs were unlockable though and from the post I quoted above it sounds like only certain ones are. So which are unlockable and why are only some unlockable?

from what i've read in this forum some users have unlockable bootloaders. i was trying to figure out if there was a way to know it before buy

I wonder if the ones that aren't unlockable are the LTE models?

Got mine from Darty (SGP311) and my BL is unlockable. Usually for mobile it's the carrier that locks the bl, so if it's wifi only tablet it should be unlockable no matter where you get it.
If there is an exposition device just access service menu to check if it's unlockable.

Fear of a non unlockable bootloader :( how to avoid It?

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of buying this tablet (or maybe Z2, as soon as It rolls out) but I'm afraid of getting a device with a not unlockable bootloader. I'd have a no-brand one. Is there the possibility that the bootloader is locked on my new tablet without the possibility of unlocking It? I read somewhere that carriers can request sony to unlock the bootloaders of the devices they sell (but, as I said, I'd have a no brand one).
In short, what does getting a not unlockable bootloader depend on?
Thanks a lot
Antonio

I think sony themselves should unlock the bootloaders, kinda like htc does. My old Xperia tablet s had unlocked bootloader when they bought it back from me, so they should get the point. but OMG can't wait to buy tablet z2! You think it will be available for purchase after mwc?
Too bad the bezel is soooo obnoxiously ugly. lol

Bou I've read in this forum of threads like "FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS ONLY" and about a method to see If your bootloader is unlockable (something like #7#blablabla*. This is a real pain in the ass. Is there a way to know that Sony's criteria are to make bootloader non unlockable?
I haven't looked at Z2 yet, but I will soon. Anyway, no, I don't think It'll be available immediately after the MWC I expect It for May/June

Generally all Xperia devices bought unlocked (not from any carrier) are able to be bootloader unlocked. Some carriers block that, but not all of them.
To check, follow the tutorial: http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/06/20/xperia-tablet-z-how-to-access-the-service-menu/
At the menu, go to Service Info, then Configuration and check that.

Thank you. So if I'm buying no brand my bootloader should be unlockable as far as I understand. Is that right?

Thank you. Samsung isn't doing the same apparently, so I had to give away my Note 3. Anyway as far as I understand there will be no 32Gb+LTE version of Xperia Tablet Z2, right? Sorry if I speak about that here but I don't think there's an apposite section on this forum.

There actually is a thread for that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651363
But, I can answer you: I am pretty sure there is going to be an LTE, but I can't say for certain if there will be a 32 Gb + LTE version, though...

Now all I need to know is whether I can connect my Apple Keyboard and mouse to the tablet and I'm done. If I can, I'm off to Japan to get a Z2 tablet directly from Kazuro Hirai himself

Can Someone please figure out a fix for screen mirroring

So I made the dumb mistake of purchasing a rooted zu. Apparently it didn't have ta backup. So screen mirroring does not work. It was one of my main reasons for purchasing the due to the fact my sony tv will only mirror with xperia phones. Is there a work around for this?? Or can some create one? I will pay if need be

How did you managed to do that? I've also a LG (lg-55LM760S) but not working. Both devices get discovered by each other but won't connect.

E203 Rooting? possible?

Hey guys, i just got my M4 Aqua (E2303) and, i'd like to ask if is there any way to root it? I'd like to remove the bloatware etc..
Searching the same thing right now.. Also just sent an email to Sony asking bout that otg problem...
Sent from my GT-I9195 using XDA Free mobile app
read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/recovery-twrp-command-line-t3198973
i did it on my girlfriends phone and it worked, so no more bloatware
but to do this you have to unlock bootloader and your drm keys are lost.
Well i don't know about you guys. I live in Greece, I've just checked my m4 and it has an unlocked bootloader. Maybe has to do with region? I don't really know..
Wish i had a solution to the otg problem as well... Sony said that it can serve as a Usb host, but the phone seems to disagree with the above opinion.. Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll check it out once i get my phone back from service..

To what extend did you try out the Bluetooth Connectivity?
With my Moto Z with Stock-Rom or AOKP/LOS Bluetooth in general does work, but does not pair properly. When i connect to a Bluetooth speaker for example, my Moto Z does not stream any Audio to the device. Any suggestions?

With stock rom, the Bluetooth of my Z has problems only in calls, I can hear to the other people and the phone autoswitch the audio channel to phone speaker. I ask @ Motorola support and after 20 days they change the logical board, thats the only fix that they can. I think all the problems are due to bad quality hw component
