Hey! I have finally found someone with this phone! I'm not alone! :laugh: anyways, I put a request in the new device forum thread (just Google new device forum xda) I really want to root this device so I can get rid of the htc bloats are that they fill it up with I know it has similar specs to the desire 816 so maybe the root method may work for this device too? I don't want to try it as this phone is brand new and don't want to brick it anyways, did you ever find anything?
I would really appreciate if I get support for this device here as I've been having a lot of issues with it since purchase. I'm unable to connect to 3G and software update option is missing. I'm so dieing to see a support forum for it here.

This is not a support site. All device modding is done by owners of the device. Had you read the request OP you would know a device needs active development before it is even considered for a forum.

I have a unlocked HTC Tilt 2 and I was wondering if I can put the Android OS on it? How can I do that? Also, is there a way to use it with a Boost Sim card?
Currently it has Windows 6.5, but I'd rather have Android...I got it on the AT&T website, but have recently unlocked it...if I can't get it to work with a Boost Sim, what is the best service to use? I know I'm asking a LOT of questions in this thread...but I'd like to be able to use this phone...can anyone help me out? I would GREATLY appreciate it!

quick thought, I just read that HTC Sensation XL is pretty much HTC Titan with all HW specs same as our Titan. According to this I would say Titan is the hot candidate to try to port Android on it, no?
But since this is propably known (similarity to Sensation) for longer time and I haven't found any thread about it I just ask general question... What is the main problem with porting Android to WP devices? Is it a bootloader? Or something else?

I am going to close this thread because i started the android to titan thread to try to localise all of these sorts of questions. I dont want any threads bashing either OS (not that it is) but it can easily go that way.
Feel free to ask any other android/titan related questions to that thread.

I wonder if anyone has tried before to link an HTC Desire X to an LCD TV using the MHI cable. I would like to know if it works. It would be awesome to do that but the cable is very expensive and I don't want to take any risks.

I have looked around the forums and on google for information on this matter but because all of the outdated information it is a little confusing and I am unsure exactly what to do. Basically my AT&T HTC One X is on "Software number": 2.20.502.7 710RD and I want to root it. Some of the things I have seen say that past a certain version you cannot do it (which I assume is why I am getting the MID not allowed error on the HTCDev site) and then I saw something here in the dev section that says you can downgrade but it tells you to unlock the device at htcdev.com which I cannot do.
So to avoid confusion and what not could someone please simply tell me if I can root this phone, and if so where to start.

You are in the wrong forum for the One X. I really wish HTC had chosen an easier to distinguish naming convention.
Check the Q&A forum in the HTC One XL group, it looks like they have a couple stickies that should answer your questions.

hey guys, i brought a htc desire 610 on contract on Tuesday after smashing my moto g's screen in an ironing board incident (don't ask ) and i instantly looked on here for a forum so I could root my phone, im aware that the 610 and the 816 have similar specs, and run the same software, (and were revealed at MWC 2014) so if someone could point me in the direction of a forum for the 610 or where to start a new one? I have came from a rooted moto g running slimkat latest nightly and have done a lot of rooting and development before, on previous phones such as the ZTE skate (A.K.A orange monte carlo, where i managed to get it from gingerbread to kitkat so yeah im not used to all this htc bloatware crap, and want to root to get rid of it, thanks for any help
I'm in need of support for mine too. I'm Having lots of issues with it. The 3G connection being my number one headache.
