Is there something that replicates this feature?: changing a notifications priority/or hiding the notification icon from the status bar.
I know that you can permanently hide all notifications of an app via app info, but what I am looking for is something that will allow me to only hide any icon from the status bar, but the notification will still be there when I pull down the notification shade.
I currently use a ROM that has this feature, and I have yet to find it implemented in any other way or through any other ROM. I would love to go back to stock or an AOSP rom and use only Xposed modules, but this is the only thing that is stopping me. This feature is absolutely vital in my opinion in my everyday use.
You can see this feature in the screenshot below. When I long press any notification when I select the Hide status bar apps notification icon, the icon will not show up. As if it either replaces it (which I believe it does with a transparent dot) or just as useful would be to change the priority of the notification to low.
This just amazes me that I can't find anything else that does this. I'm hoping there is some type of xposed module that can replicate this feature, or anything really. If only i could find the code in the source of the rom myself to compile it into stock or something... But Any thoughts anyone? I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Well you can with Beanstalk ROM. I have a Nexus 5. But I know its been ported to tons of other devices. Check it out its so great. I hate leaving it it has so many features it doesn't even compare, but I can't take CM any longer at this point.

Wow. I found a way thanks to someone at the Xposed community on G+.
The Xposed Module 'App Settings' can set priority of a notification. If you set it to Min. The icon no longer appears in the status bar. Perfect! Been using this app for so long and yet never knew of this feature.
Check it out if you are interested in that feature. Its also a really nice app for much more too.

I am looking for a app/hack/mod that makes the navbar fade in and out a certain color when your receive a msg or notification...
I think this would be a great mod or hack for most phones to get a fast glance what kind of notification you have also setup for different colors for different contacts in the phone.
I am not a dev by any means so I am not even sure if this is possible or not but I think it would be very useful.
Anyways let me know what you think or have any ideas where I can find something similar to this idea..
Thanks.
Well this phone doesn't have a navbar. . . but you can install Handcent SMS and have custom icons, tones, and vibrate patterns for individual contacts.
I'm not really sure that I'm understanding your idea properly, but it seems a lot less efficient than just looking at the notification bar, you can already see what notifications you've missed at quick glance and more than just one
think he means notification bar. i think thatd be dope for the bar to flash a certain color when something comes in.

yeah exactly... the bar itself will change so it would be faster than swiping down the notification bar ... specially when your driving ...
Great idea man. Would love to see this also

Pretty much the title, I like / need the apps in the pulldown bar (like the Ultimate Rotate App), but I don't want its icon to appear up in the task bar, as it is useless. Same goes for Trillian, I'd like to get a notification up there when i recieve a message, but while its idle the icon is useless. I don't want all these icons that take up room for no reason, is there an app to get rid of just those icons up there? And no using "disable notifications" from app settings gets rid of too much.
You Need Xposed Framework

Your Welcome bro...happy to help

If you are using touchwiz, you wouldn't need it. If you use nova launcher, there is an option.
Otherwise you are out of luck atm, I believe.
Also, next time atleast mention the correct device, not somethingelse like g3. Your topic was not wrongfully moved, your own fault.

I mentioned I used certain apps previously on the G3. Should have been more clear on that. This is for the note 4 which I now own. However I learned that I could manually change the color for individual apps with tinted status bar mod thru exposed. It's kind of a pain getting them to match. I thought the app would automatically match the status to the action bar color.
Sorry
Use colour picker app from play store, you'll get the colours to match easily, this is what I've done in the past with status bar tint on my m7

Take a screenshot and use this site to get a color match. Works perfectly.

Hi guys,
I am looking for a quick launcher in the statusbar. It should just display 6 shortcuts for easy access in any app. I found these two apps which would be fine:
TUFFS
Notification Shortcuts
The problem is, that they dont stay on the very top of my notifications and this kind of makes them useless to me. Does anyone have an idea how to enable this? Or are there other apps which are better?
Thanks for yor help!
EDIT: SOLVED it myself. In Nougat you can longpress the notification --> more settings --> toogle importance -->set importance to the highest value.

This has nothing to do with my question
I would really like the stock Android status bar icons. My main gripe is that 4g/3g takes up a whole other icon instead of being combined into the cell signal. Any chance of modifying these without root?
This is always my complaint on Verizon phones. They insist on messing with the icons. I have not figured out anything yet, besides using a material status bar app from the play store, but the problem with it is the status bar will not go transparent on the home screen with Nova launcher. Once we can get Andromeda or Substratum support, it opens up a whole new world.

So close! This lets me enable/disable various status bar icons but not change them. Thanks though.
Found it! An app just called Status. Transparency on the homescreens only works if you have a non-live wallpaper tho.

Cool, thanks. I was really hoping to avoid just overlaying the system status bar, but that might be the only way unfortunately.
