Restore your efs backup, if no backup then you'll need to use patched modem and kernel always.

What did you do in the first place to mess it up?
I didnt do anything ! Even i havent root my phone either !! M using 2.3.4 Ind version gb.
Can i update it with official ics and have new baseband ?
Everyone thinks that unknown baseband means corrupted efs but not always. First try taking out your battery for 3 min and pit it back. Your baseband may come back. Works for me.

i wouldn´t reccomend to do anything like efs or whatever without having some basic experience
Just update your phone and see what happens. 2.3.4 isn´t the best firmware imo
i think an update is a solution for your problem.

No EFS backup = service centre (or local mobile repair shop).
You should have made your efs backup. Don't try to use foreign efs.

Dont make extra threads mate . Look at philz kernel thread
May be just flash a kernel philz, jeebo, hirox or speedmod? The easiest way to root your phone

what do you mean? simple steps...please..I'm noob..
same here after flashed 4.2.2 rom... now my s3 is an expensive PDA, no efs backup, a small grey factory box on my homescreen, no lockscreen, 0049 imei etc... so many ppls with this problem, samsung? dafuq?
Don't blame Samsung for you're improper reading or lack there of. Normal users don't use Odin. Therefore its not Samsung's fault. Flash the MG4 modem and you should be good to go. You will not be spoonfed. Search something if you're don't know, are confused or not sure, etc.
I'm not flaming you either, this isn't directed at you or anyone in particular. Just read and search. You'll be good to go.

I don't understand what is "MG4"..ok is a modem for i9300 but where I can find it to proced flash...I search for them but I don't find it...please give a link..
So you're telling me, that if you search for the modem thread or a thread similar. That you couldn't flash just the modem with Odin. Or use the pre made CWM packages in the Modem thread. If you flashed the MG4 BTU ROM. Then you already have the modem. Flash it alone. Its really not the difficult. Read and look next time.

No idea.. what would be best would be remembering how you took them....or perhaps the dev thread for the 2nd app has more info - did you read it /ask in the thread.
If you can't restore the backup, you can try and restore to stock otherwise send for repair

is it safe to flash the boot.img using odin? (packaging it as tar.md5)
Pay for a repair, default CWM backup doesn't include efs partition.

Which firmware you are running with?
Check MG4 modem in net, that should solve your problem if you are using Android 4.3

Hi, what baseband u use before u flash to 4.3 @ 4.4 @ 4.4.2?
U just to flash ur last baseband.. I also had a same problem.. More sadly my sgs3 don't have network coverage. So the solution I take is I flash the last baseband I use & it's work fine

Unfortunately still no Network Coverage. I purchased a nexus 5 now, so I'm not trying to fix it. I will take it to the Samsung retailer and try to get it fixed for selling in the future though
