Back to stock - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I rooted my HTC One and I have been on plenty of different ROMs and I am on a sixth sense ROM right now. The official m7 Sixth Sense ROM is coming out for at&t users next week. I want to restore and go back to the stock at&t Rom so I can update it when it comes out. I do not currently have s-OFF. So how would I do this step by step? Thanks!

[Q] [Request] Ruby_WIND_1.45.1500.3

Hello, I did an OTA update and now I have version 1.45.1500.3 and cannot revert back to stock because the RUU on the site is version 1.45.1500.2 and it's impossible to downgrade. I was wondering if anyone has the current version?

In my defense, I had just joined the forum yesterday and for the first time unlocked the bootloader, removed root, flashed a custom rom and kernel. But the OTA update was performed before I even came onto XDA, so I didn't know that because of it I would not be able to revert to stock. Now I do.

you could try installing the Xposed Framework installer, and then grab that mod (the longpress back button menu option) and enable it. I think it should work. correct me someone, if I'm wrong.
Personally, I just went ahead and flashed ROMs from the WWE HTC One forum here on XDA dev - [HTC One (M7)] since they have the mods I want, and they work fine with our AT&T model. LTE working as well. I do think there's probably a slight issue with mismatched FIRMWARE and base version, because my LTE reception is like 2-3 bars on ROMs like ARHD 5.1 or TrickDroid 4.0 (based on 129.xx.xxx.5) whereas it's full-bar on the stock AT&T ROM.
hope I helped.. hit me up with any questions. the Xposed framework stuff you can actually find a link to in the ARHD thread (careful, don't install ARHD 6 right now, there's some issues people are having. 5.1 is good). Paul Obrien from MoDaCo hosts all the Xposed stuff.
I'll be flashing this tomorrow after I unbox my one

Yeah I was running ARHD but decided to just come back and stay stock and rooted. Didn't really have any issues or anything. Just wanted to get back to stock. But now find myself missing the Menu button to get rid of the black bar on a lot of apps I use. Wish devs would update their stuff lol I mean ICS been out about a year already.

Can I return my phone to the at&t store with this rom if I uninstall the root? Unfortunately my HTC One has one small stuck pixel and it is really bugging me since it is very noticeable in dark colors, so I think I am going to return it and get a new one.

I've taken phones back that were rooted and unlocked and I have never had an issue. I've never had a rep check to see if SU is installed or boot into bootloader to check the status. As long as it cut on and off and wasnt damaged I was good to go.

hmm you are right, well I never took a look at the supersu app on my htc one, since typically in the past I have been able to uninstall the root from the supersu app. On my Nexus 4 though I do have the option to uninstall the root
Nice JMZ,
I'll be using this for the base for my ROM. First have to make my gs3 users happy and release and update, then work begins on this

[Q] Should I wait for 4.2.2 update to unlock and root?

I got my phone about a week ago. Should I wait for the 4.2.2 update so everything is compatible? Or is it the opposite of that? Should I root now before the update? I mean, AT&T will probably be a while before they finally push the update. Is there any harm in waiting until it comes out to unlock and root? Or should I just do it soon?
It doesn't matter, if you're gonna root anyway just do it now
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
You said it yourself, ATT is probably going to be awhile. There are great threads in here that explain everything from rooting to updating firmware. Personally, I'm to impatient to wait for updates and would rather have custom roms that are clean from bloatware anyways
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Thanks guys! I was just wondering if I should wait til the 30 days for returns are up, but I guess that doesn't really make any sense. Do you have any recommendations as to which which ROM I should try out. I've heard Viper and ARHD are both good.
I use arhd personally
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I been using arhd for awhile now because I like the sense overlay. Very stable rom with great battery life. You can also try Google edition rom if you want a vanilla android experience. Here's a link to mike1986's threads, he is the developer and pushes out new versions very quickly

32 Gb black HTC One, unlocked, rooted, S-OFF, TWRP, ARHD 12.0
Root now and flash a 4.2.2 rom.
I prefer a near stock rom, so I flashed a stock rooted deodexed 2.24.401.1 rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2353083
Paired with ElementalX 2.4 kernel (or Bulletproof 3.4 if you want a enhanced stock kernel), you'll have a solid, stable rom.

It matters not at all, because if you flash a custom rom based on 4.2.2 which most if not all of them currently are... You will gain most of those updated features anyway

I too, like some of the others here have posted, am TOO impatient to wait for AT&T to push out updates. Everyone knows AT&T takes their sweet old time. I had my One a couple days on stock 4.1.2 and when I finally unlocked the bootloader, rooted, s-off and supercid I couldn't have been happier. I'm also running ARHD 12 and this ROM is rock solid and is SO much better than waiting. This is also the 1st HTC phone I've had that I rooted (have been a Samsung guy mostly in the past). The other AMAZING thing about the One is that internally it's identical to the international LTE One and it's very cool that all the ROMs in the main One section are compatible with all the variants (except Sprint of course). I say go for it! You won't be disappointed.

Didn't successfully update to sense 6

Hey everyone I recently flashed the ruu mentioned in the thread on the Q&A page that says returning back to stock for sense 6. They posted a link where you could flash the ruu that was something like 4.18 and of course I'm stock now. But I received the update that I thought was sense 6 and it took my into a screen with the green download button and everything seemed to work. It rebooted some and it said android was upgrading. But I'm still on sense 5.5 did I not fully go back to stock ? I used adb to flash the zip. It was for 4.4.2 not the one on HTC1guru.com that only had jb4.3 so again everything flashed right but I didnt get sense 6

there are several ways, first is to search, then read how to root, s-off, super cid and then be on ICS, then along with a recovery, you can download the 4.3 on here, ask such questions again and get bashed around

Lol thanks. can I update to 4.4?
We need some more info of your phone's bootloader to see if your phone can update
Write everything you see in bootloader!
Does your amaze has T-Mobile logo or is unbranded?
There's only 3 4.4 ROMs available for Amaze and are in experimental stage namely, Evervolv 4.4, CyanogenMod 11, Pac-ROM 4.4
CyanogenMod and pacrom has only camera and WiFi tethering not working rest are fine.. Pac-ROM 4.4 is the only ROM for Amaze which is updated everyday/weekly with nightly. I'd recommend to stick with stock based ICS ROMs if you want fully functional ROM. Good Luck!

yes you can upgrade to kitkat, there are two custom roms for that, one is CM11 and the other is PAC, both have some things not working and small issues. you can upgrade after you root, super cid and then install a recovery within your phone... there is a very easy to follow tutorial step by step for the phone. you will need to unlock the bootloader via htc dev first to root and then install a recovery... i would point out the thread but i'm driving at the moment... search through google with xda there, you will get there, not hard at all
there's a thanks button on the left, hit it if you think i've helped:laugh:
