Hello
I am new in this forum, i hope that someone would help me
Since i updated my Xperia X10a to the version 2.1.A.0.435 the twitter client is showing the usernames on two lines instead of one (attached is the screenshot)
As far as i had seen it only happens with the twitter official app
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Thanks!

Well, your case is quite mild actually. Some of us have our tweets cut off even. I'm not really that affected since we have Timescape =)
If you are really bothered about it, try installing Seesmic.

Yes i will use another one as a workaround, but i just tought it was strange, i google it and didn't find anything like it
Same issue with me. Bothers me too! Thank goodness there are custom roms out there.
If its too obnoxious, theres always tweetcaster
after i removed all my SE bloatware, I installed the tweetcaster and it works just fine, even has a handy little widget
I'm using TweetDeck and works like a charm
Same here, since the .435 update my Twitter app acts this way, splitting the usernames into 2 lines an cutting the tweet in half
Tried reinstall the app, clear the cache, and nothing worked so far.
Now I'm stucked with Tweetdeck, but I really want to use Twitter app.
There is no workaround for this issue?
Same issue here. Not only the names are in two lines, but part of the tweet is cuted in the end. Using TweetDeck for now.
Same here,!!! Already openned a threat a week ago but nobody answers... Kinda annoying... Any solution??

The new version correct this bug, just update from Market.
Yes it seems that the new update fixes this problem
thanks all
Hey guys,
I wrote a screen capture app that works for my Atrix since I couldn't find one that worked that was on the market. Here is the first version so I am looking for suggestions/bugs/improvements, etc.
I've only tested it on the atrix because that is the only phone I have, but if you guys could test it on other phones and let me know if it works or not on them, then that would be great.
Edit: Finally posting a new version. *Should* address most of the issues/requests I've seen unless I forgot something. Still haven't had a chance to test on any other devices but it will actually display errors now so I can see why the devices are failing.
Version:
0.6 - Fixed some bugs, screenshots should show up right away in gallery now, added an option to shutdown the services after grabbing the screenshot.
0.8 - Fixed shake sensor bug, added option to invert colors to fix colors for some devices, and service should stay on after reboots.
0.85 - Fixes for some crash reports. Better support for other devices.
Also, I finally added the app to market for those who want to get automatic app updates. I'll still post newest versions here for those that prefer to download from xda.
Market link
update: I haven't had time to work on the app at all lately so if anybody wants the source to fix any bugs or improvements then you can get it from https://bitbucket.org/mindphaze/screen-grabber
props!!! thanks a lot bro
Works great
+1 thanks.
Works great. I would like to see an option for the output folder.

so, what was the roadblock that was impeding capturing the screen with the actual programs? is it something tegra based? or was it something way easy? where did you find the information needed to make this?
Awesome app, and yeah, and output folder option would be awesome.
Nice app. After the app takes a screenshot, does it save to gallery b/c I can't find it for some reason.

Not sure exactly what the problem is, but when trying to read the framebuffer (/dev/graphics/fb0) directly I would get an error. Google provides /system/bin/fbread that grabs the framebuffer so it wasn't anything complicated to just call that to get the buffer.
Got the info from reading the tegra source code.
First bug I've ran into is it unexpecidently stopped running when I connected my phone to my computer in mass storage mode.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Probably something to do with the sdcard being unmounted.
Works great. Thank you for sharing with us.
One bug or question. How do i stop it from taking any screenshots anymore? I unchecked first two options (enable screen capture and shake sensor) but it still take screenshots if I shake it. Not a big problem but thinking how many it will be taking when i go for run in the morning

At the risk of being a little off topic, has anyone tried the new google plus app? What are your thoughts? I'm still waiting for my invite, if you have an extra invite, i'd like to try it out.
I'm curious what other atrix user experiences are with the android app.

haven't played with it much. looks slick on the UI end. when more people get on there it will become more interesting. I like the local streams from people around you. hopefully it continues to roll out effectively otherwise it will end up like wave.
It's awesome

I heard it doesn't do the video chat/hangout stuff, but it does most of the others. Looks to be a very interesting take on the Social realm. While it appears they are going after the Twitter & Facebook real estate, they are going at it in a different way. I dig it. Now only if they would only get around to sending out more invites already, haha.
It's pretty cool. Obviously still needs work like Hangout but i only have a few friends using it thus far, once i get more, i'll play around with it more.

Yea, I figured that would be the crux right now. It's great to have a social spot, but what good is it if you don't know anyone yet? Soon enough, I suppose.
Looks like they had to shut down the existing users invite service (which they opened up yesterday) due to "insane demand."

Yea, I heard that Huddle is available in the G+ app too, but if you open Huddle up directly (looks like it's own app), it'll take you directly to Huddle. An interesting feature.

Definitely not experiencing that issue. Notifications are quite instant, sometimes faster than the little red square that appears on Google sites.
You might want to check out your Google+ notification settings here: https://plus.google.com/settings/plus
and make sure it is set to push notifications at the top as well as making sure the appropriate check boxes are checked.
Mind seems to be pretty consistent.

Oh shoot.. I turned all of them off thinking they were some kind of sms notifications.I was so blinded that I don't even notice the word "push" there.
May be I should learn to read the user manual first. Thanks

Don't feel bad. They styled it to look just like the facebook notification settings page, which is where facebook sends you all sorts of emails/sms, so I was so used to going to that page and unchecking everything.
Since the new root method came out thanks to Condi and Smokey_Joe I have found an application which can really speed up the Sony Tablet S alot, the application is Performance Booster (root) at this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gejos.android.performancebooster
I have got amazing results like the launcher is less laggy and much faster, faster tasks and much more.
Everyone should be able to root (except for the people who got soft bricked of course unless they have a backdoor) but this is worth it.
EDIT: After more testing it feels like that it is not on the stock rom at all, it feels like a really stable fast tablet.
Tried this and performance improves by a lot. Also removed the bloatware apps by sony and it helps

It happened to me, I had to keep on getting off and on the application enabling the booster since the device was slow so you have to wait for over 10 seconds for the prompt to popup.
TIP: Make sure you only select "Enable Booster" first, come off the application and once it requests SU and works come back to the app and change it to your likings.

Can you guys please elaborate on where you find the differences? In which situations? I installed this on my rooted xperia tablet s, but tbh I really don't experience any speed enhancements.

I see no improvement. There is one easy way to lag my STS. Simply type very fast on google search with auto complete on, keyboard lag will occur with missing characters when you type fast enough. This do not happen no matter how fast I type on my note 2. So.... this app dont improve the STS performance on this respect

It improves the performance within applications, I did not say that it will remove/eliminate lag.
After using this there will be a performance boost in application handling BUT lag will still remain on most if not some application sectors.

If you're like me, you like to use Chrome, but you hate the ads. Especially here on XDA. I started out using AdBlock Plus, but it interfered with my MMS. Then I came across NoChromo. Fan-friggin-tastic! Check it out.

But g4 snapdragon808 is not support 64bits?
I'm liking this a lot, scrolling through web pages is super smooth as there are no ads to load.

Thanks, yes the XDA ads nowadays are massive and slow the heck out of page loading. Huge 300 x 600 px one on my desktop is a pain, always some flash movie ad thing.
Downloaded the 64-bit one. Which one is right for the G4? 64=bit seems to work fine though, so maybe it doesn't matter.

I use Apex launcher, when you install the launcher, then long press any icon, then edit the name.
P.s you also need to install "icon pack" in order to change nochromo icon to Chrome icon.
WOW
I installed the arm64 version and I'm blown away with the speed and smoothness of this browser. When someone else said it was like night and day they wasnt kidding.
If you don't get this ad free version of chrome then you must need your head examining. Less data, still sync bookmarks, passwords, data etc and no ads resulting in fast as hell browsing. I'm blown away by this browser.
Thanks for sharing this.
Any difference really between this and using the hosts file with AdAway?
i dl and compare!
EDIT:
I don't see any difference in loadingtime with this and chrome+adaway!
