My stock Evo 4g LTE was working fine. I unlocked via HTC Dev, achieved S-Off (via http://moonshine.io) & flashed "Super Nexus" ROM.
Now voice radio is dead. Can't connect to sprint towers.
My bud who has more experience than me worked with it for several hours & flashed stock kernels, etc. He says that I killed the radio.
Nice... what is the best way to return the phone to 100% stock & test the radios..
He said maybe I flashed a GSM ROM, but Sprint is CDMA, so why would there even be a GSM ROM for a CDMA Carrier/Device? Confused...
Thanks for any tips you can provide...

If you're running a sense Rom, dial ##72786# from your dialer and select reset from the menu. You won't lose any data. Your phone will reboot and reactivate. Try that.

If that fails, being that you're S-off, search for the firmware thread and flash the latest radio.

Call or connect to chat with Sprint and have them activate your device. Be sure you are on a "close to stock" Rom for it to work. You will most likely need your MEID #.

Already did one better -- took it into a Sprint Store - had them activate it there... Can't connect to Sprint Network. NOTE: It wasn't a tech - it was just a counter person - but even after activating, no dice. They contacted their support folks for activation to see if there was any code they could type on the keypad to force it to activate... none of that worked. Can't connect to Sprint Network.
Plus, even if device isn't activated, 611 will reach Sprint Customer Service. And trying to load a web page should bring a message that data isn't activated on the device. i.e. it talks to the Sprint tower and recognizes that the phone isn't activated. Alas, it isn't even doing that...

Are you still on Super Nexus? That's a AOSP ROM and you won't be able to do any of the dialer codes or even try to activate it. You need to install a Sense ROM and try again what has been suggested above.
If flashing back to a Sense ROM doesn't get things working properly I'd suggest running a RUU. As previously stated, though, try the steps above & see if that works first.
Post your Hboot & baseband (radio) version, too.

So you're saying you flashed the latest RUU and you still have an issue? If so, the problem must be hardware, not software. If you haven't done that, I would try that next, and then call Sprint and have them refresh your device. Or you can try to activate through Settings first.
Ok so my data has not been working at all the past few days. I have tried stock ROM, meanrom, and cm10. It would work for a few minutes and then go to nothing. I finally tried switching it to just CDMA and it works... I'm in a 4g lte area so why would that be? Also if I try to update prl, firmware, or profile it just keeps searching for hours. What should I do?

Thanks! Flashing stock with goodies right now to try it out. If I flash back to cm10 will that cancel out all the updates though?
Ok I tried it but I don't have the password... Even tried the meid converter and used that password and it still didn't let me.

A couple of days ago, my phone had no 3G service, but it would sometimes pickup 4G but my connection usually didn't last very long.
I was running the updated radio 1.12.11.0809.
I downgraded back to the stock 1.13.651.1 ROM and I had my 3G connection back.
Im sticking with the stock radio.
they are upgrading your tower in your area. that i am 100000% sure of
that happened to me also, and a couple of days later it will be back to normal again, and switching it back to cdma will work.
when they finish upgrading the towers is should be good again.

Well It has been over a week... maybe even 2 weeks. Is that normal?
this is happening to me, I was on the phone with sprint for over an hour....I have done the ##78286# code with my MSL and it resets, but I still boot up to just a x/signal bar....Somehow i think my radios corrupted and will not be able to use this phone....
edit: i was able to get signal, but still having problems now after a full ##786# code
Hi, I bought the DNA thinkig it would work fully in Europe.
Phone calls and sms are ok.
But I can´t get data working, I tried adding and changing the APNs, the mode from global to GSM/UMTS, patches and different roms and most of all reading a lot but to no avail.
Data did´t work with original rom and still doesn't work whit custom roms.
S-offed, rooted and recovery.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you check with your carrier to verify data is enabled on your account? Sounds dumb I know but happened to me once where they forgot to flip a switch.
Recently purchased a rooted HTC evo lte phone with cm 10.2.0 jewel on it. The problem I'm having is the ##25327# commands don't function for activating the phone. I tried switching to a lightly modified stock layout Rom and when u type the key in it dissapears so it apears I'm getting closer in choosing a Rom I can activate the phone with. I noticed this am on the forum there are stock roms and was wondering if one of these will allow me to activate the phone by still having the ## factory sprint functions built in. Or is there another way I can activate this phone? I'm going on 2 weeks now minus a phone after breaking my note 2. Any help will b a huge help. Thanks

Go on Sprint.com and start a chat with a rep. Get the MEID # from inside the rear cover, where the SD slot is located. They will get you activated. Best to be on a stock ROM so your profile and PRL can update.
Sent from my EVO using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yea they were able to do that and tie the device to my account but the last step is reboot the phone and when it boots backup enter the ##25327# they give me which the numbers don't populate any menu for updating the plr. What I have seen is this is wiped out with modified roms. I was wondering since the phone didn't come with the stock Rom would one of the stock roms on here do the trick to get it activated and if so which one?

Update: I was able to update to 4.3, my baseband is there, the ROM in general seems to be just fine....but still no service. Called Sprint and they had me do everything you guys already told me to do with no avail. My network settings is completely blank and my replacing m7 will not be in until Thursday. I remember the days walking into Sprint store with broken phone and walking out with a brand new one. Now you have to wait 4-5 days for a refurbished phone.
