I received today an email from Sony with some advertising. They wrote something suspicious for me. There are two different models of Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 32GB !?! I pre-ordered my 32 GB tablet in march and it's a SGP512e1. So that's the question now: what is the difference between SGP512e1 and SGP512e2 ? Does anyone have an idea?

I have been lurking around the Internet for answer but couldn't find any answer. But i honestly don't believe their are much different at all

Don't know. On my tablet it says SGP521 no e1 or e2
I tried to find info about it on Google and even Sony.
Maybe the batch number?

I know the Huawei S7 is a old version which on sale last year But i don't know the IDEOS S7.. Are they the same one? Or not, Which one is better? I think the IDEOS is better. I saw the SPEC. But,Their accessories are interchangeable it?

There are a few variants of the 'original' S7 and the more recently released S7 Slim. First has a resistive screen second has a capacitive.
It is rumoured that they are identical inside so any accessories (should they appear!) will work on both.
Just make sure you have Android 2.2.2 or above.
I really hope the slim gets accesories but the support from huawei is horrible so i wouldnt hold my breath

Yes, i rooted mine half an hour ago infact! I did a writeup sometime ago, however i cant post it due to low post count, or post links so info is lost!

Rooted and upgraded to Android 2.2.2 (Froy) they become a great tablet.
Unlocked ROM, flash enabled, 1gHz CPU unlocked, Apps2sd, more sensitive screen, OTG support for USB host, and cheap!

I recently got an S7 Slim. It is a great device, especially for the price point. My only complaint is that the BB version does not come with an active SIM slot. Who knew?
Can you tell me how you rooted your Slim? I have tried oneclick z4 and universal and have not been able to get access.

What do you mean? The BB version's SIM slot is fully active.
However the baseband radio firmware that ships with the device has SEVERE bugs that cause the cellular radio to fail in many circumstances. For me, the device only worked in towers with the same area code as my SIM.
The Froyo (2.2) ROMs had new baseband firmware that fixed most if not all of these problems. USA customers never officially saw them, but the Indonesian 2.2 ROM works well on our devices - look at joenilan's ROM in the Development section, it has a link to the Indo 2.2 update.
Edit: Sorry, ooops, missed that you had a Slim and not the original S7. Yeah, I don't believe the Slim has any 3G capability.

Ive been seaching around yet couldnt find the answer .
My friend bought this device from Japan and gave to me, however I live in malaysia and went to Sony center . They say Malaysia only sell sgp311 which is 16gb and currently the device im using I keep resetting and still theres apps which is Japanese . I don know how to use this as im apple user anyway.
Anyone can help in guide me so its friendly use for me as Malaysians?

It doesnt seem so
It opens the ability to writing on system via root, so its only a problem if you accidentaly hit grant on supersu (or have grant by default)

I'm currently using the file explorer that is in the recovery but that really is no permanent solution as I need to reboot each time I have to work in /system and no other app can be used.
If there is no safety risk I will proceed disabling RIC then.
Anyone know if D6503 will work in Jamaica? I'm travelling to Jamaica in April and am debating between buying a travel pack through Fido or just buying a prepaid Sim card in Jamaica and throwing it in the phone. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

im certain the phone will work in 2G\3G but thats as far as my knowlage goes
i know nothing of simcards or anything of such in this case

in CM12 i recomend open camera, 4k recording doesnt work at all in cm12 and cm11 from my testing

I recently bought the Z2 and have some questions related with root and unlocked bootloader etc.
I previously had Xperia SL, so I have something or an idea about something
Just wanted to know few things.
1) what happens if I root or unlock bootloader? Is there any feature loss.
2) can I lock the bootloader again once unlocked?
3) can I downgrade my os version. I am on 4.4.2 now.
I know lollipop is coming but I will love to use the existing Roms even after upgrade.

I ordered this phone from one of our major stores here in Romania-EUROPE after deciding that the mt2 is the best solution for me. I WAS REALLY amazed to find that it has KITKAT out of the box. I mean, before deciding to buy it I researched online and found out it came with Jellybean but for some reason this one came with KITKAT. Since then, I found out here are several models of the MT2. Found out mine was MT-L02. The box it came with looks WAY different then the one in the US.
I think this was made specifically for Europe, or some countries that uses slightly different frequencies. Does any1 else have the L02 ?? Will this get updated to KITKAT? I still don't know if there are any other differences...
Any information is welcome.

As you said, there are several models of the same phone. If you do some searching you can get the differences.
Did you mean to ask if it will be updated to Lollipop? (As you stated, it already has Kit-Kat.) Yes, it is supposed to be updated to Lollipop.

Thanks, yeah, I was referring to Lolipop. So weird some models have Kitkat while some only have JellyBean. I guess they all have the same hardware. Still dont understand why the choose to update only some when the ROM is already available, only some minor ajustments for every model i guess

I've heard that G2 has some display burning problems. I've read about this here, on xda, and on others websites too.
A friend of mine had like 4-5 LG G2 16 GB, and all of them had this annoying issue (Screen burn).
So I want to ask you guys...the 32 GB has the same problem too? Is there any G2 that is not having this issue?
