I tried to change the custom recovery...
and after flashing it the phone got bricked..
It can't load recovery but it can load Download Mode.
But unable to detect the phone in ODIN in PC..
Please Help
What recovery you used. You sure it was the right version for your phone.

Are you sure you have the Samsung drivers installed?
Else ODIN won't detect your phone.
Try to install drivers or try another USB cable, another port, another Odin version

i just rooted the galaxy s2 and wanted to install cwm by factory recovery. That went wrong, i guess a wrong file. Now im stuck in a boot loop. I cant enter recovery mode, only the download mode. So tried to connect my phone with the pc to use Odin, but it doesnt recognize the device (never did not even before this brick). Installed kies and tried every driverinstall but no succes, it gave me code 43. i have windows 7..
so.. no recovery, no usb.. what can i do? im almost desperate.

Try another computer then. Your phone gets detected even if no driver is installed. As long as the computer does not detect at least an unkown USB device no driver will bring you any further.

Well, this morning I tried to make a backup of my rom using the rom manager. It failed and I got stuck in the CWM. I've already tried flashing other roms (transwin and bionic monkey) and wipe cache, data, etc. Right now, I'm trying to flash CWM using odin, but it can't recognize my device. I've already trying unnistalling/reinstalling KIES and Samsung drivers, but it always shows that error code: 10 (even in another computer).
So... anyone have any ideas? I think I should try to make odin recognize my device, but I don't know what to do anymore...

Thanks for your attention. I did it all again, but I think the problem was that I was using the recovery to enter in download mode. When I tried to enter without it I managed to get out of recovery, but now I can't make KIES recognize my device to get back to stock and the Bionic Monkey rom is bugged ("Android.process.acore has stopped" every 3 seconds). I saw the topic with some stocks, but I can't find one for my country (Brazil) and IDK if I can just flash any rom... I'm going to try the TransK rom, I wanted to test it anyway.

i've already flash cwm a long time ago, after that i restore the official firmware using a pc at cyber cafe. then yesterday i tried to flash custom rom and my phone stuck at samsung grand logo. i've install samsung kies inside my laptop but it didnt detect my phone because it is my first time connecting my phone to my laptop. can someone help tell me how to make my laptp detect my phone. my phone can enter download mode but didnt detected by lptop.

dear friend already tried to set up a stock deodex via recovery? it avoids using Odin and will be able to install the drivers on your laptop with your connected device!

Simply download driver for samsung gti8552 and install it on the computer/laptop in which you want to connect your device for modifications/fixing.

Just remove your phone battery ,sim etc . then wait for few seconds and boot to recovery or download mode by only battery not with sim and sd try if this works

After connecting select pda and put desired rom file. And start flying
HI there guys. Hope you are doing fine. My device is giving an weird error when I tired to do either wipe/factory reset or flash new ROM in TWRP Recovery. Also I can't install Stock Recovery with ODIN which always results in a FAIL message. The error I get in TWRP is attached below for your reference.

You use download mode to flash stock firmware etc, not recovery mode. If the phone doesn't respond to odin while in download mode then try another USB cable, preferably the original that came with the phone.

Hi there. I'm sorry that you misunderstood my statement. I'm aware about the usage of download mode with ODIN. It's just that I can't get it to work anyhow. Gives me FAIL message as the in the error message attached below. They TWRP recovery currently installed which was working fine when I last used this device months ago can't even mount the system partitions to do any kind of operations as in the pic of post#1. Can you help me with that?
Try a different usb cable and usb port.
I tried to install a ccuston rom via cwm recovery and since then my phone wont boot into recovery however i can get it to boot into download odin mode, the problem im having is when i plug my phone into computer it just says unrecognised usb device, and cant see any sign of it in odin, which driver do i need to updatefor odi to recognise it please,
this is really baffeling me now as i used to be able to sort this kind of issue out no prob any advice greatly accepted cheers
