I broke my screen and I was wondering do I have to disassemble the phone to change the screen. Everything else is still working except the screen. If anyone has a tutorial they can attach I appreciate it. I have watched several, but they all disassemble first in case other parts has to be replaced.
Just search up Galaxy Mega 6.3 disassembly on YouTube and follow the video. Be careful though because its easy to rip a flex cable or damage the WiFi antennae.

Hi all,
I have my S5830i galaxy ace with broken screen digitizer.A friend of mine has fully bricked galaxy ace S5830... so I was wondering if I could take his front panel(digitizer+screen) and put it on my S5830i.Are the connectors same ? will it fit onto motherboard of my phone? thank you in advance (I cant take his digitizer because it's glued to metal front panel so I would probably broke it while attempting to lift it.My only option is to take whole panel)

Take it to someone who repairs mobile, he might do it, cause I've seen some people changing displays, even using Chinese display on Samsung mobiles ......

Exactly!
I have plan to install display from Galaxy S2 into Galaxy S2 Plus. Screen size is similar, even the socket. Is there any chance to do it?
iFixit have disassebly guides for most of the popular handsets out thete. Look for the disassebled S2 and S2plus to compare the parts visually.

I have noticed about that I see it will fit. Otherwise I'm affraid about the digitalizer can work wrong. For example when I press numer 1 on the dialler phone recognize numer 4. I asked not about the fitting itself but about the futuer proper work.
it works - almost
Don't know if anyones still interested, but i got a galaxy SII with broken mainboard and one SII Plus with broken display from friends. so i thought i'd give it a try.
after disassembling both i found that only one connector for the three buttons below the screen was changed - two extra pins. connecting all other connectors the screen was working. and after wiggling the buttonconnector the home button worked. so i cut off some plastic so the connector fits.
All the buttons work now, only the button backlighting isn't working.
its not fully working but functional
Hi, i have i545 Verizon Galaxy S4 and amoled itself is broken the Digitizer, not just the glass. So screen is cracked. It needs a replecement.
Do you know if its compatible with i9505 models or is it have to be specific i545 model Digitizer to replace it?
And some people sells it without frame, my capacitive buttons are working, i tested them. just touchscreen is not working.
So what is this frame? Does it matters do i have to change it? just my touchscreen and amoled screen is not working

I have a Verizon s4 that I got with a broken screen and I bought a sprint s4 with a fried motherboard and perfect screen all I did was put my motherboard in the sprint one and works perfect took about 10 mins.
I googled the i9505 motherboard and all connections look the same as the sprint / Verizon motherboards so the screen from a i9505 should work but im not 100%

well as i heard sprint, metro pcs and verizon has the same frame so if i want to change whole screen it should not be issue between those. but i9500 and i9505 even at&t has different frame.
well i'll check out some places tomorrow. i hope i can find something.
i'll report it here for future, i hope no one would have these issues.
also its way easier with the frame less to worry about and around the same price
Greetings dear forumers,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega i9200, for days I had to disassemble the entire phone to make a replacement lcd screen, but when you go to remove all internal parts of the vibrator flex my phone was broken, try to peel it off with pliers but it was not easy because I was really stuck, and there the accident occurred.
The point is that where I live only flex vibrator Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 are earned, and let me know if I buy one of these I can work on my Samsung Galaxy Mega. I compared in photos and model vibrator flex for samsung galaxy S3 is very similar to using the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
Will universal parts or are designed for each model Samsung?
I recently received a galaxy tab 10.1 with a damaged screen. While I was disassembling it I noticed it was very similar to the tab 2 which ive worked on before. I had a screen (with bad burn in ) and digitizer from a recent tab 2 repair so I wanted to see if they would work with the older tab so I sould test it before buying parts... sure enough it worked. I was wondering if they are in fact the same parts or would long term usage cause damge? I am wondering more about the digitizer at the momoment since the one I have functions fine but I am curious about the lcd also for future reference
It appears the lcd is the same/interchangeable the digitizer is not. The glass on the original tab is slightly larger (wider from left to right) so although it functions it's not an exact fit.
