REG99 - Unable to Connect - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

I have been using WIFI calling since I got my S5 and for the most part it has worked well. For the past week i've been getting the "REG99 - Unable to connect" quite frequently. I've tried a few different WIFI networks and get the error on them all. If I reboot a few times it will normally connect, and stay connected for a while. Eventually it comes back, and stays until I go through the reboot cycle again.
Thoughts?

Normally that comes up when it cant properly connect to your wifi, either no signal or not strong enough. Once you connect, try opening up a browser window first (and I would surf to a few random pages) to insure that you are fully connected and then retry connecting the wifi calling.

You may have to update your 911 address on the tmobile Web page or call customer service.

[Q] S3 Wifi, Roaming and Time Issue. Please help

I am away form home now and facing some frustrating issues with my new S3.
1. I cant connect to any WIFI network though the WIFI connection has very good signal strength. I always get the msg 'Network disabled. Poor Connection'. There is nothing wrong with the WIFI as i can connect it with my laptop and my buddy could connect to it using his IPhone.
2. My roaming time is completely wrong. It does not follow the time of the country I am in. It is showing the same time as my home country network. Shouldnt it automatically detect the network and shows the correct time like Iphone?

1. Restart the router & try just using 2.4Ghz in settings > wifi > advanced
2. Ensure: menu > settings > date & time > check [auto date & time] and [auto time zone]

1. I cant restart the router as i am connecting to the Hotel's wifi. Everything else can be connected to it except for this S3. I followed your instructions but it keps showing "Connecting". and nothing else happens.
2.I have already check both auto date & time and auto time zone earlier. But the problem still persists.

Beginnin to regret my decision to get a S3. So complicating!
If you happen to have a case on, remove it and try again.

Hi, this is my first post, as I created my account specially with the purpose to answer you.
After being faced with the problem all day and reading all possible materials on the topic in google and here, my dad walked in and asked me why he is not able to connect to our home wireless connection.
This was when I retrieved my hope that the problem is not in the phone. And it was not! My iPhone, my laptop were able to obtain a internet connection in contrast to my other laptop and my S3! I restarted the rooter and everything was ok! Everbody got their internet dose !
So, most probably it isn't you!
Also have wifi problem, except it tells me it's an authentication error. I cannot connect to the WiFi unless I stand right next to it. Can't connect to WiFi anywhere (if you think it's the router in my house), even though the device detects the router. Sent it back to Samsung.

Hey, I experienced the same problem. But in my case, I am able to connect to the AP, if I am using a static IP address in the SGS3 instead of DHCP. Same router, no settings changed there. Just configured a static IP.
Cheers,

Same problem
Tried everything still not working, took it back to samsung they said it's working fine any other device is connecting without a problem but the S3 wont (i have 15 S3 with this problem)
Thanks
Bring back the phones to Samsung!

I'm also frequently getting the "Network disabled. Poor Connection" message when at home. I have 2 wifi routers:
- Buffalo WHR G54S
- Draytek 2920n
If I turn wifi off/on on the S3 it sometimes resolves the issue, but not always. Sometimes after turning off/on it shows a status of "Connected"but there is no internet connectivity. If I then switch to the other router I can sometimes (but not always) connect successfully.
I'm running Checkrom v5.5, and have tried both the Perseus and Siyah kernels - both have this problem.

Prime won't connect to Wifi at work (fine at home)

I decided to bring my prime to work today and can’t seem to connect to the wifi here. My Thunderbolt and ipod connect to it just fine, but when I put the password in and press connect on my tablet, essentially nothing happens. It just goes back to the main wifi screen where I can choose it again and can select either Connect, Forget or Cancel. I tried forgetting and re-entering the pw. I did a soft reboot and it still doesn’t do anything when trying to connect.
I am running on AndroWookie, and have had this problem in the past but it would eventually connect on the 2nd or 3rd try.
What I find strange is that it still seems to remember my old SSID’s I’ve connected to in the past even though I did a full wipe of all data and formatted.
I can connect at home without issue, so I was wondering if there are any tricks I can use to make my prime connect to wifi here.
Thanks!
I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago, my Prime would not connect to 2 different wifi networks even when I typed in the SSID & password manually. Very discouraging!

Have you tried to add network manually in wifi settings.

I will try this tomorrow. It seems strange that it can't or has trouble connecting to certain public wifi networks. My phone doesn't have this problem and they both have the same signal (checking in wifi testing app).
What is the strength of the networks? I often get this when the network is (very) weak...

S3 not automatically connecting back to WiFi

I’ve recently upgraded from an S2 to an S3 and have a slight issue. When I’m out the house and connected via a data connection (O2 giffgaff) all is great however when I get back home or to a saved wifi spot my phone will not automatically connect to it whilst the screen is off. I have to litterally wake the screen from sleep/lock mode to the home screen where I can see the data connection still on then soon after it will switch to WiFi with the connected confrimation message.
Surley I shouldnt have to wake my phone when coming in range to a saved WiFi point in order for it to connect to it, my S2 never had such issue and automatically connected to saved points. Earlier I went down to the shop and used the data connection whilst there, come back to work and hadn’t woke my phone for about half hour, turned it on and it started connecting to the wireless. The connection still works when the phone is in sleep/lock screen as I still recieve emails etc so it's not cutting of data connections completely when sleeping so I'm a bit puzzled by this, I haven't tested this vice versa WiFi to data but I'm sure there must be a simple setting somewhere.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I noticed this earlier on, I was out all day, returned home and wifi wouldn't auto connect, I had to disable and re enable wifi

It's strange I can't quite work it out, I tested it the other way round and it seemed to automatically connect to mobile data when there was no saved WiFi in range so it only seems to be an issue with auto connecting to WiFi.
I'm going to try a few more tests.

You could try deleting the saved network and adding it again. It has happened to me before and that has fixed the problem.

Data connection error

So lately what has been happening when I disconnect my phone from wifi it will not automatically connect to Sprints data network. It says its still connected to 1xRTT (according to SignalCheck Pro) however it then has a pop up saying my phone cannot connect to the mobile data network and says MIP 180 or something along those lines, and I can't connect to Sprints data until i reboot. The 3G symbol will not show up until i reboot and can't connect to data. Im running stock touchwiz not rooted, latest update. This happens pretty much everywhere I go. Any help?
I've come from ATT and have never had an issie of this sort before using GSM phones. Although it could just be because this phones still new?
ok so i got a screen shot of it.
Forget that im roaming and using usb 3.0, that was after the fact it kept telling me this message. I generally have great service where I am, could be cell tower upgrades.
That error code means you need to update your data profile. After you reboot, go into settings and try updating your profile...if it continues contact Sprint.

Had same problem recently and it was due to several tower problems in my area.

Wifi broken?

My wifi is blinking and wont connect... just started happening.
Wont even connect, eventually just fails and yeah... :c
Have you tested on another wifi network?
Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk
Its not the network. The wifi itself loops. The icon flashes and says turning on wifi but it never works
Yeah, occasionally I'll get disconnected from my home and work Wi-Fi. It's annoying. Used to never happen on my nexus 5.
Have you tried rebooting your router?
Have you removed the Wi-Fi from your list of saved Wi-Fi, reboot phone, than reinstalled the Wi-Fi?
