[Q][CM11]homescreen not changeable, inverted rendering with browser not possible - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi,
homescreen changes discarded after cm update:
i cannot even remember when this happened, but it could be 1-2 months ago. All changes applied to my homescreen - icons placed there - are gone after every cm nightly update. I even tried boot recovery, delete dalvik etc. but no use. is this a cm or trebuchet issue?
inverted rendering browser:
this function does not work on my S2 no matter what i do. is this a known issue?
thnx

[Q] Phone freezing after removal from dock.

Not every time I pull my phone off the dock but 2 or 3 times a day it will lock up and I can't do anything. I have to pull the battery to restart it. I believe it is related to the AOSP clock.
I was running the Community ROM and 1.2 patch which doesn't include the AOSP clock and didn't notice it. I just installed the Crysis Revolution theme which does include the AOSP clock and it did install it, which is fine with me because I like the AOSP clock better than the Samsung one. It did the same thing on SuperClean 2.9.2. I did wipe data, cache, and dalvik 3 times before I installed.
Is there a fix for this? I love the dock and AOSP clock and would hate to lose it but I can't deal with my phone freezing when I undock it.
Ok I removed the AOSP clock and it still freezes when removed from the dock. Anyone else experiencing this?
Just unplugged my USB cable from charging and it happened to me.

Age of Zombies causing nasty FCs

I downloaded Age of Zombies from the Amazon App Store freebie list, and aside from refusing to run, it locks up my NC. I get a black screen and when I try to close it, it resets ADW Launcher and screws up my background. If I just let it run with the black screen, after about 30 seconds my NC reboots. BTW - I'm running Phiremod 6.3.
Anyone else get it to work, and if so... how?
I ran it with almost no issue on my Nook, CM7 Nightlies w/ OC kernel on SD.
The only issue I had was that it slightly over-scaled to full screen, cropping off some of the dialogue & menus; other than that, it ran fine.
I ended up uninstalling it though, not because of any technical issue, but because it got kind of boring after a bit.
Edit: I just thought to include that I'm also running Zeam as my launcher, seeing as AoZ conflicts with your ADW.
Are you running Chainfire 3D? I tried it with the driver on and off, and still no luck.

I haven't installed chainfire yet, so it's the default drivers.
I'm using CM7 nightlies, no-OC, Chainfire w/ nVidia plugin (not sure this is needed, it's just what I have enabled) and normal ADW launcher and it seems to be working fine. The initial startup seemed to have some issues, but after that it worked. The screen size does need some tweaking tho, probably need to re-enable the full screen in CM settings.
Good luck
Maybe a phiremod issue? But if memory serves (it should, I'm 11) phiremod is based of of CM7. Try a CM7 sd card to eliminate that variable.
I have been running this with no issues besides a little bit of cropping.
- CM7 Nightly 102
- Chainfire3d
- ADW Launcher
Try turning off compatibility mode. Or re-flash.
IT's basically Robotron updated. Fun.
I also have phiremod 6.3 and when i run it, my screen just stays black. When i exit my wallpaper is also just black but no FC's or reboots. After about a minute my live wallpaper was back
I initially had FC issues running cm126, oc kernel and adw. Fixed permissions and rebooted. Seems to be running fine now. Try fixing permissions in rom manager or recovery.

Specific lag issues on Jelly Bean (playstore, homescreen rotation)

Hi guys!
So overall Jelly Bean is great. It made everything faster and smoother for me in general.
There are 2 areas though that kinda suck since the update (yes i did a factory reset after the upgrade! And i have gpu 2d acceleration enabled - also tried with disabled):
-Rotation on the homescreens. If i rotate the tablet on the homescreen the icons rebuild and its laggy for a second. But if I rotate twice in succession eg. landscape->portrait->landscape it takes about 5-10 seconds until the icons reappear. Its not that bad but somewhat annoying. Seems like the whole launcher restarts or something because it also is laggy for some seconds after the icons reappear.
Do you guys experience this as well? I guess it could be fixed by nova launcher though.
-Google play store! So this is really strange. The start screen of the play store where you have the tiles is really smooth. But as soon as i swipe to the right where all the icons of the apps are vertical scrolling is really laggy. Also when all the icons are loaded. It just stays laggy.
Of course these things arent too bad at all But there's room for improvement! On my SGS III with the polish test rom these areas are completely smooth. Any ideas to get rid of that, or is it the same for you?
hey, i have an other homescreen issue:
when coming back to homescreen (from apps, drawer or anything else) all my widgets on homescreen are vanished...i need to swipe to the left or right, just a few mm to make them appear again...
have this in nova launcher prime and stock trebuchet...can anybody confirm?

[Q] Trebuchet Launcher on CM 11 Android Kitkat Nightly 4.4.2

Hello guys,
I newly installed Android 4.4.2 with Cyanogenmod 11 on my s2 and I am facing some problems. First to say is that I use the PhilZ Kernel v5.15.9 and Cyanogenmod-version 11-20140418-NIGHTLY-i9100. The Trebuchet Launcher is making some problems. Every time I restart the device some widgets and shortcuts on the home screen are removed and the screens are reset to a shortcut order of a certain time. Same with the app drawer, if I want them to be arranged by date installed, the setting will go back to sort by name after a restart. In addition the music player is having some flaws and will not start a song, or just completely crash. I know these are just minor problems and I am happy in general about 4.4.2 on my S2, I just want to know if these problems are normal, and if, when it can be thought that they will be corrected? Do you recommend me using a other launcher, as I have read that the trebuchet launcher in cm11 is not done yet, while the launcher from cm10.2 had much more setting options.
I have another question regarding "Snapshot". Is it a rom, similiar to the nightly kit kat versions? What advantages/disadvantages does it have?
Best regards,
Haris

I also had problems with Trebuchet, but they are different and major. The launcher suddenly stops working and I have to reboot my phone.

I didn't have any problems with the music player, but I recommend Google Play Music app.

I installed Google Now Launcher because it is almost the same, but then switched to Nova when I found it even better (in my opinion).

The snapshot is supposed to be a more stable version of the nightly. But in this case specifically, I flashed the snapshot yesterday, and I didn't have except problems from it. I don't recommend installing it. I don't get a single notification, something is wrong with the power button (doesn't get all options, only reboot and power off), and the Home button doesn't work at all, not even a long press. If the nightly version you are on now is good, don't update.

Lockscreen wallpaper reverting to default after few hours

Hi,
I've updated my RM3 Pro [Kate] to latest MIUI 8 Global Beta - 7.4.6
And I have a couple of issues:
First and foremost - when I set my own lockscreen wallpaper it stays like that for a few hours [around 1-5], then reverts to those dynamic changing wallpapers. At first I thought that there might be some issue with my SD card, so I moved the file to internal memory - this gives the same effect. Then I tried factory reset, still didn't help. Home screen wallpaper is unaffected by that.
Other thing is that now LED notification is not working for apps like Messenger, Snapchat or Instagram, only for text messages and missed calls.
Phone is unlocked and rooted aswell.
Any ideas how to deal with that? I didn't have that problem with 6.10.13, but I don't really want to revert, because that newer versions seems faster and lighter on RAM somehow.
