Hello
About Miui V5.
Having s-off, and root on, fulmix kernel and rom installed i have tried to install V5 and it just hangs on startup.
I have wiped dalvik, battery, cache, ..so full wipe with Nexus Prime recovery.
Its only MIUI icon and nothing happens ...
Am I doing something wrong ? Every other Rom is going thru just MIUI is hanging.
thanx in advance

You can't use fulmix kernel or any of the other custom kernels here. You have to use the one provided in the zip file which should be flashed by recovery if you are S-OFF. Alternatively, just rip it off the zip file and flash it separately.
Thing is, the other custom kernels are made for Sense, but this MIUI is CM based as mentioned before.Sense kernels and CM are incompatible, sorry.

Ok, so i tried new CM10 kernel which was in zip file and it works.
But, is it bug in CM10 rom that i cant install apps or update apps from google play..it just says error 505 or something..
Is it because of emmc ?
thanx

Just reflash gapps, if that doesn't work, reinstall Play Store via apk.

[Q] [DEVS] Touch Screen Issue/Bug with CM/AOSP Based ROMs and AROMA Inst. NEO V MT11a

Hi Everybody. As the title say, I am facing issues with the touch screen when i install Any CM ROM(FXP-Official)/AOSP. At the first boot I Can not unlock my phone or skip the "Tutorial". After Reboot the phone, the problem is still there
*I Flashed the BB recommend for each ROM (.72)
*I Installed the Respective Kernel via Fastboot:
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then
- fastboot boot boot.img
*I did a Full Wipe (Cache, Data, Dalvik)
*Format - System
*I flashed ROM
* And....Nothing
Any Solution? Anyone?
Thanks
EDIT. Every SE based ROMs (MIUI etc.) work without that BUG
EDIT. 03/03/13 AROMA Installer also does not work (Only with Vol and Menu buttons)

I know, I did that when i was installing FXP113 or 115 (With respective kernels) i mean the problem is with FXP Kernel and ROM .... Is there any patch or something?
UPDATE: Please Someone Help me... I tried the ICS Official Leak from here ,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594651 and following the Instructions, i STILL get the same issue...: The Touch Screen Does not Work (Hardware buttons works) Anyone?
PS. With AOSP,Mooded and other ICS ROMs with Nightelf,Pwn etc Kernels i don't have that issue
I have the same problem with Cm7, CM9 and MIUI and its kernel in the zip file, but I can not find solutions. My touch screen works only with stock rom or with official Ics kernel beta and Ics rom official and hybrid rom. Solutions?

HiTaaviu,I flashed the costum kernels included in the zip file CM9, CM7, and I also tried Pwn and NightElf kernel, but the touch screen does not work with MIUI cm7 and CM9, touchscreen only works with the stock rom and MooDeD ICS ROM, JJ's HYBRID ROM, AOSP 4.0.3 ICS, ICS SE Beta official with the official kernel ics of sony.
then the problem is not flash the kernel, because ics official kernel works perfectly and then flash the kernel run correctly. But why with the other kernel touch screen wrong?
I do not know how to do it, I can not find any solution!

Thanx
Etc..
1.downloaded rom xxx.zip
2. kernel xxx.img
3. wipe?
How installed kernel/rom.
Ok, this is the procedure I follow:
1 -Flash .42 with Flashtool
2-Root
3-Unlock bootloader with fastboot (fastboot.exe-i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xMykey)
4-Install cwm recovery
5-Iput zip file downloaded to sd (ex. update-cm-7.1.0-XperiaNeo-MT15i-signed)
4-I put the kernel included in the zip into the fastboot folder and flash (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
6-I go into recovery and wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache and wipe Dalvik cache
7-Flash zip rom and GAPPS
8-Reboot
9-Phonework but touch screen does not work
I tried with pwn kernel and other but it is the same thing!
The situation that presents itself is equal to this video:
Boot ZTE Blade / Oranage San Francisco (B10) with custom rom with working touch screen(Search in youtube)
I also tried to use the technique in the video but without battery Xperia neo will not turn on.
I do not understand where I'm wrong!
First of all flash .62 ftf by flashtool...then flash the respective custom kernel for the rom...wipe everything and also format everything in cwm ...all custom kernels are pre rooted and cwm recovery ready...now flash the rom and see if it works.

The problem is still here... I tried Every ROM based on CM9 (since FXP129 to CM9 RC2 Official) or AOSP (Polish Blood 4.04) and don't work... Others ROM based on SE (MIUI etc.) Work flawless... WE NEED SOME DEVS HERE, Please...
please, no one can solve this problem ???
Lemme try.
Flash the latest Stock firmware. Boot it up, and go thru the whole setup process. Stock FTF usually got no probs when it comes to hardware.
Run the phone in Stock for awhile (1-2mins), then shut it off. Go into fastboot mode (press and hold "Menu" button while plugging into PC) and flash the kernel from the LATEST version of the ROM you want to use (FXP146 for CM9.1/CM10, FXP110 or something for CM7.2, MIUI2/MIUI4/MIUI4.1). It is usually in the zip itself or the dev would have recommended a kernel. If you don't know how to flash the kernel, PM me.
Boot up phone into recovery, flash new ROM, flash gapps, reboot phone.
BOOM all should be ok

status 7 error means you formatted the system. Never format system. Try a google search. you will get xda links of people explaining how to recover from that.

Re: Trouble installing CM10./10.1
This happens to me too.
So the best solution for now. Flash the roms you want using the provided kernel.
Then take a backup, flash Mesa, switch between roms via restoring them from recovery.

Solved
Pls follow the correct procedure and flash the correct rom and check the md5 of ur rom.
If u wanna do a factory reset then do it 1st otherwise dont do at all.
I m using pacman too but dont have any prob.
If u r coming from other roms then do a factory reset then clear the cache and dalvik then mount the system and flash the rom.
Then clear just cache and dalvik and flash the gapps. Then clear cache and dalvik again and fix permission and reboot the system.
This will clear all the problems

Usually rom in zip contains kernel, so if you flash rom kernel anf then rom you will end up with kernel from rom. When you fastboot lernel, be sure your bootloader is unlocked and makd kernel you downloaded is for your device and it is right fof your kind of rom, stock cyanogenmod,...
After you flash kernel over fast boot then when you start the phone go directly to clockworkmod and wipe cache and dalvik. After that reboot and it should boot.
One exception, of course, if you want use experimental kernel, flash via cwm as it contains not only kernel but even updated libs.

download a stock based kernel, cwm recovery or doomkernel and a stock based rom, , deodexed or something stock based
Okay, take it you mean a pre-rooted stock based rom with Cwm included? So I would flash the stock based rom first, followed by the stock based kernel, followed by gapps? Is that right? What wipes are necessary inbetween? Thanks buddy!

stock based as in anything stock based, deodexed, prerooted, tweaked etc
gapps isnt needed for stock based
cwm included in roms arent neccisary
dont need to wipe when you install a kernel
wipe cache and dalvik when switching roms
wipe data if your switching base aka cm11 to aokp, or aokp to stock
