try using an app like light flow it lets you set custom colours etc for specific apps
Thanks for the suggestion,but all the apps from market doesn't support the light when the screen is on

Using PA beta 6 for 3 days and the red notification led on the power button is not working. Is anybody having the same problem?

Checked Pulse Notification Light under settings->disply->notification LED. its working now
