This rom works great on the Sprint Note 3, even though it's for the N9005. Since I'm not a developer, I'm doing my job of bringing attention to this rom. I believe it can be ported to our phone as X-Note was. So far I only notice that NFC and data isn't working.

take sacs s5 rom, copy over the ect , csc, and frameworks folder from system and copy it over to this rom and flash it, you should get data and it should fix nfc too.
also i have the s5 xnote rom on my note 3 fully working, just dont have permission to port it , s5 camera works also.
daaamn im stoked on this. does ultra power save mode work? do we still have the s-pen functionality? a note 3 rom with s5 features sounds pretty dope

Please read rule 12 before posting someone else's work:
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails, you may then contact a Moderator and provide clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in the copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence that it was you who created the work, then in the spirit of sharing, all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by that developer. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie, allowing certain people to use it and not others). Should the developer decide to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes fair game for all to use, albeit with the relative credit displayed.
In regard to permissions, the same rules apply for this but if permission was already given and unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under extreme circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

I can't be the only one who likes MIUI. Any word on this phone getting a port of it? Or will I just have to hold out hope that a special dev will eventually come along to help fulfill my deep, dark MIUI desires?
I've seen it already for the AT&T variant.
It will come if someone feels like porting it probably
It was being said that Beans was porting it but that was awhile ago.
It only needs the ril libraries transplanted into the Sprint Rom, but I don't have the patience to play with it

I'm pretty sure there's more to it then that, but just in. On page 2 are the needed RIL if someone wants to try it

BE WARNED I'VE SEEN TWO PEOPLE REPORT A HARD BRICK USING SPRINT PORTS. IF YOU TRY THIS, ITS YOUR FAULT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I didn't have a hard brick. I flashed Sprint miui, then followed up with a Verizon kernel, and everything booted and mostly worked, except for phone/data (the ril libs are different)
ALSO, you need the CM10 RIL library files which are in Framework.jar. Not just the ones in /system/lib

While browsing a bit last night I luckily stumbled across a recovery flashable zip that fixed all my GPS issues on AOSP. I had previously tried all the other fixes that have been posted thus far and none worked on the 20130601 VRB nightly, the previous VRB nightlies, any of the PA releases, or any of the other various AOSP ROMs.
In the post it states that this will work with any of the t0lte phones, the VZW Note 2 is the t0ltevzw for those of you who have only heard of it referred to as the i605, so I gave it a shot and lo and behold my GPS locked within 5 seconds where it previously wouldn't even pick up any satellites.
So those of you having the same problem try flashing this:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/40116-42...de-hello-halo-0604/page__st__490#entry1184057
Here is a link to it in my Dropbox for those of you who would rather not use Rootz:
http://db.tt/PnvlFhgy
The way I flash it and the way I have always gotten it to work is to open Maps first, click the GPS shape to get it to find you, wait until it says "Unable to locate", reboot directly into recovery, flash this fix WITHOUT WIPING ANYTHING, reboot and open Maps, profit. When you are testing Maps after you flashed the fix make sure you are outside to give it the best possible chance to find satellites. If it still locks show but you are getting a lock try using FasterGPS from the Play Store to change your GPS.conf, to do so open the app, grant it superuser privileges, and select the correct continent and region under NTP Server. It should be North America for the continent and United States for the region unless you are using the i605 out of country, if you are using it out of country then select the appropriate continent and region.
I didn't create this nor in any way, shape, form, or fashion take any credit for this fix, the credits go to alba on Rootz. The only thing I have done is post it here so hopefully the people with GPS issues will see it and finally be able to use it.
EDIT:
For those of you that flash this please leave a comment starting if it did or did not work and what ROM and kernel you're using. If you haven't flashed a kernel then just put something like "using kennel that came with ROM." This way maybe we can see which ROMs it works with and which it doesn't so hopefully we can troubleshoot it and get your GPS working.
Also if the fix doesn't work download GPS Status or GPS Toolbox from the Play Store and see if your phone is even seeing the satellites. If it is it will show you something along the lines of either 0/0 or 0/x# of satellites. I have included some screenshots to show you how to find the number of satellites in GPS Status.

I prefer VRB as opposed to TW and using this I have full functionality. TW has a few nice features but is highly overrated in my opinion.

What ROM were you on? Did you launch Maps before you flashed it? The only way it works for me is if I launch Maps, let it say it can't find me (when in all reality the GPS wont even search), reboot, flash, profit.
Also try it without the WiFi and Wireless Networks selected under Location Access..

CM more and more go to the wrong way, I think. It was a bloatware free interface highly tweakable and sure it require some patience (no skills needed for flash or unlock device) but it was worse the time spent to know how to do all the step. Now it become full of bloatware and go on commercial way. Every good things seems to one day, for the name of accessibility (popularity) lose its identity.

This is an interesting read (if you have the time) from our beloved dev XpLoDWilD, regarding CM and Focal (his camera app). Still, there are many different and unique ROM's out there like AOKP, SuperNexus etc. so i'm not worried

No backlash, there are ROMs available.
@freeza Deodexed the stock MI5 ROM, you could build your own ROM out of that.
@JoshBeach and Team Venum have put heart and soul into their ROM and Mods, JellyBomb Domination, which is superb.
I could name many more names, and I would but you will see that in time ROMs will become available, it takes a lot of time and effort to put together something great, and its worth the wait. With that said, I will reiterate my appreciation towards JellyBomb Domination...
Good luck.

Not for Sprint variants... we aren't even unlocked yet...
Your best bet is to watch the bootloader unlock thread in the AT&T G3 General forum (stickied). It will be posted everywhere when it's achieved but that's the home base for the discussion. thecubed is the most vocal of the devs teaming up on the project and he's on AT&T so that's where he posts. The thread is quiet the last few days, he had a busy weekend so he is a bit behind where he wants to be, but he's definitely going for it.
Once bootloader is unlocked there should be a significant upswing in development - TWRP will come quickly, then stock rooted debloated ROMs, then the tweaked ROMs with themes and all that, then AOSP and CM and ports and whatnot. That's my prediction, anyway.
