Could anyone upload this new firmware?
I can't get OTA because I'm rooted.
Anyway, there's no OTA and Omate just said OTA is online (I hope that's true)

Don't even know where it downloads file.
Anyone got OTA info on rooted device?

Having a butchers at the file system I think it's been removed post install, I should have grabbed it between downloading and applying

Found where it had applied from:
update_package = /sdcard/adupsfota/update.zip
so if anyone else has the nouse to pause between downloading and applying, that's where to look!

Yes.. restored system and unroot device.
ADB restart and OTA is here...
I have to say it's smoother and faster and they added smart modes (normal, watch, sport, companion) but I thought they will add shake feature back...
Watch isn't watch if I have to press button to see what's the time...
But OK, they are working on OS and I give them all the credits for that...

When I got my watch, I made backup (using MTKtools).
Now I opened framaroot, checked unroot and restarted.
Powered off device and restored my backup using SP flashtool using scrap file.
(there's one nice tutorial named "how to unbricking your TS, you can follow that, only instead of downloading and restoring firmware you'll flash your backup)
I had to use ADB reboot because it stuck into bootloop....
And that's it, as soon as device booted, OTA update info showed in notif bar..

Good, but if I did not made backup before rooting, what can I Do? I made root for the watch after I receiving using Motochopper. So, can I make only unroot by framaroot or using omate truesmart root tool to return to stock and reset ADB

Hehe...I forgot to add "sarcasm" sign in that post...
I believe they only patched Boromir exploit, so what they did is - absolutely nothing...
I can't say new firmware isn't better then old one but as old firmware was garbage, it's not to hard to build something better...
What they did is awful, they "took" root from us but firmware is still insecure...
BTW...what's up mate?

i do have another question already...kies is still on and now that i rooted another update window came up for 4.1.2

Once its done it should reboot once rebooted hold volume up and down together with power button to enter twrp it should notice your phone is not rooted and ask if you want root click yes your good to go with the most up to date recovery that will flash any rom in our dev section make sure when you open the odin file right click on the file and run as administrator. Dude if ur rooted I suggest flashing the twrp zip for recovery, downloading blackstar blackjelly and enjoying a decked out modded version of the jb update. Its a lot faster than stock and it will be easier now that you have a custom recovery. I only suggest twrp bc cwm has been giving status 7 errors when flashing roms and twrp is far more supperior to cwm.

having an issue...i try to use Odin. when i click PDA and then goto the twrp folder where i downloaded the file from here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/96
there isn't a tar file, but there is a MD5 file. Odin sees the MD5 file, i click it to open it and then Odin hangs up and just gets stuck.
can i root it this way (which is the preferred way on the link above):
Android App Install Method (Preferred):
Download the GooManager app from either location:
Market Link
Direct Download
Install the app and open it. Tap menu then hit Install OpenRecoveryScript. Tap Yes. Verify that the filename displays your device's code name and hit Yes. The file will download and your device will reboot and install the recovery automatically.

Plug your phone into the computer using the usb and let windows find your drivers. Then make sure (above all) that you have enabled USB degugging. It will always fail if you don't. I use kingo and I have a Sprint Mega as well and it took about 2-3 mins for kingo to root it. I kept it stock because I haven't seen any roms or recovery that I'm sure will work right now but I was able to remove all the crappy bloatware off.

To do so, you need to keep all the precautions in mind! First of all, you'll have to take a FULL BACKUP of your device using CWM so that if you happen to brick it, you can retrieve it back!!
Read this detailed webpage and do EXACTLY as shown dude!

All the best for that!

did you enable usb debbuging?
I see.. The galaxy grand 2 is a new release in the market, so absolutely it'll take a few months for the WORKING root method to show up! Also ensure you have ALL the drivers installed and have ENABLED USB debugging in the developer menu in the settings!
Reply if this helps... Looking for more methods!

Go to super su app.
Take a look at the settings tab.
You should find exactly what you want.
Wont work.already tried, also tried the kingroot option.

The only way is to flash any .ftf of any Android version for your phone. Be sure to select all the 3 wipes and the other 2 options (no final verification and reset customizations) That will clear everything. The microSD will not be touched in any way nor the micro SIM card.

Hi, Glad to help!!
The file you need will be mirrored for your convenience
Flashable Version Here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/3e1glbph00y6vfs/Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.flashable.zip?dl=0
Installer Version (You need a PC for this (this can be used if you cannot flash the above file)) <<<<<<< I recommend this one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jnx1dswl1idcry/Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.installer.zip?dl=0
1. There is no egypt version so. it doesnt matter it will still work so download this after you have recovery installed. rom file :https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5DlGMq6XYFWYzZVemdjcHdkVW8/view
when your phone boots up and you see the led colours press volume down(repeatadly) for twrp recovery press install and locate the rom file and swipe to confirm flash.
after the rom zip is installed flash the nut recovery *zip* so you can read/write to the system for proper root
There u go bud
Thanks,
Mohamed

I checked all the firmwares and it seems your country does not have its own firmware It doesn't matter what country firmware you use. 4g LTE and data will still work (at least that's what I have experienced)
And yes, im pretty sure PC companion's repair will wipe ur phone to stock
Bro, Egypt has no firmware ... Check your customisation number.....I think it should be kuwait or KSA.
