Go to super su app.
Take a look at the settings tab.
You should find exactly what you want.

Wont work.already tried, also tried the kingroot option.

The only way is to flash any .ftf of any Android version for your phone. Be sure to select all the 3 wipes and the other 2 options (no final verification and reset customizations) That will clear everything. The microSD will not be touched in any way nor the micro SIM card.

Hi, Glad to help!!
The file you need will be mirrored for your convenience
Flashable Version Here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/3e1glbph00y6vfs/Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.flashable.zip?dl=0
Installer Version (You need a PC for this (this can be used if you cannot flash the above file)) <<<<<<< I recommend this one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jnx1dswl1idcry/Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.installer.zip?dl=0
1. There is no egypt version so. it doesnt matter it will still work so download this after you have recovery installed. rom file :https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5DlGMq6XYFWYzZVemdjcHdkVW8/view
when your phone boots up and you see the led colours press volume down(repeatadly) for twrp recovery press install and locate the rom file and swipe to confirm flash.
after the rom zip is installed flash the nut recovery *zip* so you can read/write to the system for proper root
There u go bud
Thanks,
Mohamed

I checked all the firmwares and it seems your country does not have its own firmware It doesn't matter what country firmware you use. 4g LTE and data will still work (at least that's what I have experienced)
And yes, im pretty sure PC companion's repair will wipe ur phone to stock

Bro, Egypt has no firmware ... Check your customisation number.....I think it should be kuwait or KSA.

Why are you trying to reset it?? Only reset it if you're planning on sending your phone for repair, if not don't play around with it because you can brick your device, I've not seen it happen but it is possible!

You may want to consult Chainfire, but i have an idea, flash stock ROM via Odin and check update bootloader, but double check with a senior developer first as I don't want to be responsible for a bricked device. Have you tried flashing with Odin?? Without bootloader update?? And starting again??

Sorry, i ll brief it a bit.
I have an s2 , in which i wish to flash paranoid android. I found out a method in these forums which allowed us to root our phone without installing cwm recovery (i.e. cwm through odin). It required only a flashable zip which could be flashed via the stock recovery. After flashing the zip, i was in cwm interface which was temporary and was gone after a reboot.
Wanted to know if this temporary custom recovery could make a nandroid backup and flash paranoid.

Ok.
Now your phone is rooted and you have access to temporary CWM recovery. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Yes, you can use the temporary recovery to create a Nandroid backup.
#So just create your backup now
2. Flash a custom kernel of your choice via the temporary CWM recovery
3. Flash paranoid Android and Gapps.
If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask me

Pre-Rooted kennel.
Ps: 99.9% of all custom ROMs for galaxy s2 comes with Pre-Rooted kernels

Red dot on my bootscreen

Looks like artifacts=damaged screen.
If you have warranty, use it.

The red dot on top left is something that my device also has. Not all have it. Its an indication that you rooted your device (as far as we know)

I'd still call your provider about getting a possible warranty... if the screen were 'broken' you could get a warranty replacement, so I'm sure that's not what he's suggesting is wrong with your phone. It seems like just a defect of the phone... if it's not causing any problems now, it might in the future... it's hard to say what'll happen but regardless, if you have a warranty the provider is obligated to replace the phone with one that works properly Good luck!

My phone came back from repairs after "sudden death syndrome" with a new motherboard and freshly-flashed stock firmware; UNROOTED mind you, but sporting the red mark on the screen. Although it was rooted when it died, I can't imagine what component would have been left in the phone to reveal the fact it had been rooted.
So, no: I'm pretty sure it's not root-related. I think it's just a 'feature' of newer boards.
When did your friend get his s3? Because i think devices from soke point have upgraded bootloader which uses that method to show you are rooted, meanwhile my device (bought it in july) doesnt have that yet, maybe study little bit and flash old bootloader, but its risky...

I have same experience... If u root & flash custom roms than the red mark will appear.. If u just wanna root means that just flash cf auto root using odin on stock rom than install triangle away & reset the counter.. After that the red mark will dissappear... Note that cf auto root not include recovery.. It's just root ur phone... If even though u flash chain fire root 6. 4 its include with recovery so u can't reset the counters when ur phone have recovery on ur stock rom

Idk if it updates bootloader via ota (most likely not), dont upgrade via kies, but if you bought it with new bootloader, only method is to downgrade it manually (via odin)

I been having the same problem since i've rooted my device. I was on stock JB but now I flashed 4.1.2. Leak and the red mark still there

Loaded and everything working. What I have found out so far:
The volume to wake mod for newts ROM does not work.
You can't dirty flash this over the stock 4.5 ROM.

I can't get OTA because I'm rooted.
Anyway, there's no OTA and Omate just said OTA is online (I hope that's true)

Found where it had applied from:
update_package = /sdcard/adupsfota/update.zip
so if anyone else has the nouse to pause between downloading and applying, that's where to look!

Yes.. restored system and unroot device.
ADB restart and OTA is here...
I have to say it's smoother and faster and they added smart modes (normal, watch, sport, companion) but I thought they will add shake feature back...
Watch isn't watch if I have to press button to see what's the time...
But OK, they are working on OS and I give them all the credits for that...

When I got my watch, I made backup (using MTKtools).
Now I opened framaroot, checked unroot and restarted.
Powered off device and restored my backup using SP flashtool using scrap file.
(there's one nice tutorial named "how to unbricking your TS, you can follow that, only instead of downloading and restoring firmware you'll flash your backup)
I had to use ADB reboot because it stuck into bootloop....
And that's it, as soon as device booted, OTA update info showed in notif bar..

Good, but if I did not made backup before rooting, what can I Do? I made root for the watch after I receiving using Motochopper. So, can I make only unroot by framaroot or using omate truesmart root tool to return to stock and reset ADB

Sideload and run the apps in the attached SecurityCheck.zip. That will tell you how secure the new firmware is.

Hehe...I forgot to add "sarcasm" sign in that post...
I believe they only patched Boromir exploit, so what they did is - absolutely nothing...
I can't say new firmware isn't better then old one but as old firmware was garbage, it's not to hard to build something better...
What they did is awful, they "took" root from us but firmware is still insecure...
BTW...what's up mate?
Anything interesting in Android world or you are totally out?
