Hi,
I installed cwm 1.5 recovery, SuperSU and ninphatemin3 1.1.0 to my stock XXLE8 stock rom.
Now I cannot seem to apply the OTA update. Can somebody help guide me to successfully update the OTA?
Thanks

Hi,
I had the same issue. You need to install Samsung Kies on a PC and install the firmware update with Kies. Be aware that your device is not rooted anymore after that procedure.
So you have to root it again. But not a big task though.

Of course you cant. Root = no ota or official support.

As multiple posts say root = no OTA .
But if you actually read the latest CF root instructions .
Recovery - ClockWorkMod (CWM)
A custom CWM 5.5 build is included in CF-Root, taken from this thread. This provides for the ability to install custom ROMs, and do nandroid (full device) backups and restores. Now also support OTA updates, but an OTA update itself will probably remove CWM, so you need re-flash CF-Root after OTA.
But why piss about with root then back to official update and then root again .
Join XDA and flash stock rom when you want .
Plus with 84 posts you should be able to read the fffff rules

OTA`s will be downloaded but not installed. You could try updating with Kies but you will loose root. Best thing to do is flash the update (new rom) yourself with Odin or better yet with Mobile Odin Pro (you can flash firmware with this app and keep root). For you to decide.
I have just restored back to latest uk stock rom via Odin when I try to check for a update via about software update I get the following remark
Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it.Try later?
Means your in a que, try kies if you want it straight away

Hey lads. Yesterday I downloaded XXDLI5 ota from xda since I had BUBLG3 system build. As I understand this ota is a test build. When the final version comes would I get a another ota over kies or I must instal another build via Odin? Haven't rooted the phone. ..
Tnx in advance.

No, you can't. Just download the latest firmware and flash via ODIN.
Backup your ROM before that and just restore your backup after you have updated to the latest firmware.
update your ROM
To update your rom you need to go to sammobile.com and sign up after the sign up you go to the firmware section.now navigate to firmware database now fill the columns after filling you radicate to the download section select the latest firmware....after the download flash the firmware via Odin....
