Maybe you accidentally touch the mute mic button with your cheek?
Have you tried an other simcard?

I've got the same "problem" - it's because, as gijs46 suggested, you accidentally turn of the mic. when calling someone/picking up the phone, make sure the screen goes off before pressing it against your ear. just hold your phone close to your ear and after a second the proximity sensor should switch the display off, and then you're safe to press the phone against your head
I know but I didint silence the mic if I use another sim card on my phone it works perfect but also if I put the sim card that gives problem in onother phone it also works perfect??!!

That's how a proximity sensor works :victory: It uses infrared. And although that is not part of the visible spectrum, I assume some visible light escapes as a dark red colour.

Yes I know how it works. I asked about lighting it up every wake up device. It should light up only when its needed (calls) In my case infrared lights up every device wake up for micro sec. My wife's Htc one S do not behave like that.

Hi. my xperia z ultra multitouch was unresponsive for a short time. single touch isn't problem. if i try multitouching, second touch will be unresponsive for 0.1 seconds. it makes me get bad score in my games(deemo, cytus, tapsonic, o2jam ...mostly rhythm games)
i wish this problems to fix it next firmware update. any help?
i can't speak english well, sorry.
It is not easy to solve a problem if we do not understand precisely what is causing it.
I also experience multitouch issues in the rhythm games I play, but I have found it is slightly better if you plug headphones into the phone or charge the phone while you play.
It's not a fix, but I hope it helps.
Hello
I would like some help if possible. My z ultra c6802 4.4.4 (108 I think) has a broken proximity sensor, that is, doesn't turn off during a call when having it on my ear. Tried: a)downgrade to 4.2.2 and recalibreating it (passed with green but no fix),b) repair through PC companion(no luck either). Any ideas from your experience before I give it to Sony(the phone is new and out of the box but passed DOA) for repair, although I am afraid to do so as I requested a unlock code from them (Sony)and this brings me to a rather nasty spot although its obvious I got it like this ,just haven't noticed it in time for DOA. Thanks Alex
Recently I was on my nexus 9, on adobe reader , then went on asphalt the car game and then my n9 made this loud crackling noise like something going to pop and my n9 screen went from normal to red dots everywhere like the screen was burning, then my tablet died. Wtf
What happened , all I can think of is GPU died??
That sounds bad man....
How old was your tablet? What happens when you try turn it on?
Have you tried to charge it overnight and then to turn on? Mine did so 3 times horrible loud noise then black screen, but since newest update no more problems
