Dear all,
I got my second SIII yesterday, but it has a similar issue to the first one. :crying:
There is "something" like a magenta color shift on the right of the screen (~1/8), what is mainly recognizable on a pure white or grey background.
The first device has the same, but on the bottom of the display (~1/3).
I never read about this issue before, so please let me know your opinion about that.
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Mario
In samsung service center said that new oled screens sometimes need some time to warm up to properly stick layers of the screen. But if after some period of time (week?) problem persists its meen faulty mainboard (i dont rememer, power regulator or such thing) and it need to be replaced by new one. So maybe give it a time, play games etc. and heat it up.

Many thanks for your answer.
Hope it will be fixed that way!
What would be interesting to me -
is here someone, who had the same issue, which has been gone after a while?
And if so, how long did it take?
Does Your proximity sensor (left upper part of screen - kind of infrared light) light up for a micro second when Wake up device? (u can see it in completely dark room when sleep and Wake up sleep and Wake up end so on your device)

That's how a proximity sensor works :victory: It uses infrared. And although that is not part of the visible spectrum, I assume some visible light escapes as a dark red colour.

Yes I know how it works. I asked about lighting it up every wake up device. It should light up only when its needed (calls) In my case infrared lights up every device wake up for micro sec. My wife's Htc one S do not behave like that.

On my Xperia Z2 components of the phone can be seen through back glass, is this a factory defect or is it normal.? Plus after 4.4.4 update stamina mode stopped working on my phone, after screen goes off I still receive messages and notifications but after 10-15 mins stamina mode starts working. Before update stamina mode used to work right when screen used to go off. Please help. Here is link to image of back side of phone
That looks really strange. Also there is a little border around the camera and flashlight. Where did you buy that phone? Looks to me like someone replaced the back.

Seems like a common problem [emoji14] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2966675
You shouldn't double post.
All, I got the global version of the phone in the USA. For some reason, camera is not working. When i opened it from box, it worked after a day it stopped working.
Just getting a black and then green screen with an error message. I tried all possibilities. Need to return ?
Start dialer and enter * # * # 64663 # * # *
That will take you to the service menu, press camera / rear camera and start a test.
It forces the camera to restart for testing purpose.
If you still have same issue, you could try a factory reset unless you already tried that.
If none of that helps my best bet is that either the camera module cable is broken, sensor is broken or the cable connector is disconnected.
Either way I would return it if none of the above solve it.

Maybe you should try to reinstall software with full wipe, or just try to install beta. If camera passed in test then it can be a way to make it work. How about rear camera test? You have wrote only about rear sub camera

Rear camera test failed. White screen with not responding error. I was not able to install beta using the software updater. Need to unlock and try.
Return it
I unlocked and installed recovery. In the process camera started working again.
Short lived fun. Stopped again. Definitively defective.
Maybe it's like my MI5 it was dead for 4 months (not charging, couldn't turn it on) then once when I got bored and connected it to charger it suddenly turned on with 73 % battery (after 4 months) worked for half a day and it's dead again. I'd return it.

Camera module cable is broken or connector isn't really connected to board.
