Hello Peeps,
Here is the tutorial on how to root Jelly Bean 4.3 Android 4.4.2 on Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505 Using CF-Auto-Root:
Prerequisites:
Install the USB driver with USB debugging enabled from the Developers Tool
Make a necessary backup of any important data.
Make sure your device has enough battery juice in it (80%)
Step 1: Download and extract the following files:
Download:
CF-Auto-Root-hllte-hlltexx-smn7505.zip
Odin v3.09
You should get a .tar.md5 file within extracted folder. Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.09.exe along with few other files. You could use any extracting software such a WinZip, Winrar or 7zip to extract files.
Step 2: Put Your Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505 In Download Mode
Now turn off your phone and wait few seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off. Then boot it into the Download Mode. To do that press and keep holding the Volume down and Home button at the same time, with these two buttons pressed press the Power Button all simultaneously. When a warning message is displayed press on the Volume Up button to continue to the process.
Step 3: Run Odin
Now run Odinv3.09.exe in as an Administrator because an Admin privilege is required to complete this installation process without any hiccups. Now connect your phone with your PC using USB cable. Once you connect, you will see a message under Odin’s message box in the bottom left-panel displaying “Added”. You should also see ID: COM port with a number and colored box in Yellow/Blue i.e. if you successfully added your device, if not then you can do the following Steps:
Re-start the same procedure.
Try Uninstalling and then re-installing the drivers again and restart you pc.
Use different USB cable.
Ensure KIES is not running in the background.
Disable Your Antivirus.
Uninstall or disable any program that may be causing conflicts such as your OEM’s PC Suite or any other third party software.
Step 4: Staring the flashing process
In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are only two that are selected. DO NOT SELECT ANY OTHER OPTION! Click the AP button and select that file CF-Auto-Root-hllte-hlltexx-smn7505.tar.md5 you downloaded earlier in Step 1 with extension .tar.md5. Now, once you are ready, hit the START button to begin the flashing process. This process may take a minute or two to finish. Please do not disconnect your phone once Odin sets in motion. As the installation process completes, your phone will reboot itself and you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect it from the computer.
Voila, You have successfully rooted your phone
Can use this method on n750??
Please Don't Root using Chainfire

No, Don't use it.
Using chainfire method if you root your phone you will trip the Knox to 1 and void the warranty.
Please note for now it is irreversible to change Knox to 0.
Please wait till alternative method comes up because if something goes wrong Samsung service centre may not service the phone.
It is a huge risk.
Sincere advice please do NOT root for now.
In the above post he has mentioned N7505 and you have N750 so both are different models.
But if you want to go ahead then you need similar file which states N750 in the file name.
Click here to get the correct file.
Check this site also.
Cheers!

I faced the same issue on my SM-N750 and its a problem with Odin.
Tried Odin v1.85 and worked all fine

First flash the original firmware to get back your phone in the working condition. Then make sure you have the USB tool installed for Windows and have USB debugging enabled. You can also try a different version of ODIN.. Though these files worked perfectly for me. Please do cross check the files.
Sent from my SM-N7505 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Go to this site : >>autoroot.chainfire.eu<<<
Search for your model number : N7500(hl3gub) or N7505 (hlltexx) .. Click on "File" & download the zip file. Compatible Odin is already there inside the zip file posted by Chainfire. So don't flash with any other Odin version. Incompatible Odin will Brick your device.
Rest of the steps are easy .. as already mentioned in this thread.
0) Extract the zip file into a folder lets say FOLD_X, everything you need is inside this folder apart from USB drivers.
1) Install Samsung USB drivers(mentioned in this thread, worked for me) or Kies (but disable/kill Kies software after installation) (You can also take backups using Kies for the Oh ! No! Moments )
2) Boot in Download mode.
3) Open Odin
4) Connect USB
5) Check the ID: COM port and "Added" message.
6) In Odin the checkboxes ( Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes ) will be auto selected.
7) Click on PDA, select the .md5 file, inside the folder you just extracted.
8) Click Start and wait for the phone to restart(20 second process)
I have done it on N7505.
Cheers !

Well... If you root.. You won't get OTA updates... And plus you can always flash the latest firmware with Odin and a backup.

So you're telling me you have rooted and your phone is working fine with root permission.. But you're recovery is not working... Right? Then if I were you I would have flash a custom TWRP recovery.

Ok a buddy of mine last night started rooting my phone using the (How to Root AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717! [ICS][Gingerbread][Easiest Method]) he made it through the first part of puting the cwm on it. then when he tried to connect the phone via usb, to transfer superuser, the compter would not recognize my phone. so he could not go anyfurther do to the time we had left. so i tried to go home and finish up on the computer, since i figured the hard part was over. Now my computer does not recognize it either. ive tried re-downloading the drivers and downloading kies. and still nothing.
so my question is, can i finish rooting with out a computer and if not, what can i do?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I've assumed you followed direction got a rooted kernel using odin then install superuser, from that then use odin again to flash cwm.
Are you in download mode on your Note?
"1. Turn off your phone and uplug it. Take the battery out of your phone, put it back in, and hold the volume down button and power button at the same time. Keep them held down until the phone starts buzzing and you see the Samsung name.
2. At this point you are either in download mode or the phone will tell you to hit volume up, at which point you'll be ready."
IF not working, recommend starting from scratch
Use this first to get back to stock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506330
Then root via
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504218
or this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1518962
Then install CWM using Odin from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584576
Once done, nandroid and happy flashing

I don't think he has super user so he might not be able to delete it. If he can't connect at all and odin doesn't recognise then he ia in a tight spot. If you can get into cwm by holding the power button and vol up and down, try wiping everything factory cache div. Cache then fix permissions. If that and the drivers being ddownloaded did not work i sure hope you have an att warranty or have only had the fone for 30 days. If you take it back to the retailer and act like its stock they will never know or care. Try to get a guy who is an iphone fanboy if you get and android wiz you could be out of luck

this is the rason why u dont let friends do this kind of thing for u!! it is something u must learn..u may have bugs here and there and if u have no clue how to fix it ur %[email protected] so i would say undo all that he did then start fresh...use odin 1.85exe go find the att recovery b4 file plug in to odin click pda find where u put the recovery file that u DL put it in the pda box then u should be good to go
Ok ill make this so simple. You need to start over from the top. I would suggest going on YouTube search for how to root the Att galaxy note. Just watch it. Its a good way to learn odin. Then search Att galexy not recovery. This way you have a visual step by step. That's how I did it I watched it then followed along. I read all the comments (if any) in the comment section. Trust me it so much easier that way cuz you can stop and compare screens and such or stop and replay parts that u need.

If you can't access a computer.
I'm writing this because as I understand it, your friend was SUCCESSFUL at getting CWM on and just not root. If your phone is working otherwise, then try this.
With the phone turned OFF
Hold down BOTH volume buttons and turn the phone ON
When you see the Samsung logo appear LET GO of both volume buttons.
If you have CWM installed right you should be at the CWM menu, offering various options, just select REBOOT SYSTEM and post back here and let us know if CWM is in fact installed correctly.
I wanna share my knowledge here
Learning from my experience using Samsung's devices, I found similarities in the way of reversing Samsung devices to stock rom.
So this guide should be practice for almost all Samsung devices
Ok, let's get started
First, download all these stuff
1. Samsung USB Driver or go to this Thread (install it)
2. Samsung Kies (install it)
3. Odin v.4xx or Odin v1-3 or go to this Thread (just open when need it)
4. And of course your stock rom
Download from here (choose the right stock rom and the newest depend on your model)
5. Extract the stock rom using winrar/7zip
-you should 3 files PDA_xx.tar.md5, Phone/Modem_xx.tar.md5 and CSC_xx.tar.md5 or more
-If you have just two files, .xxxx.tar.md5 & SS_DL.dll, i'll give it the guide too
Second, Go to download mode
- For device with Menu button : hold power button+menu button+volume down (vol -)
- For device without Menu button : hold power button+volume down (vol -)
For the 3 Files or more
- Go to download mode
- Plug your device to PC/Laptop
- Open Odin
- Choose PDA (browse it from your extracted stock rom)
- Choose phone/modem (browse it from your extracted stock rom)
- CSC (browse it from your extracted stock rom)
- If there's more files, just put it on the same box of the files names
- Check list auto reboot and f.reset time(look at the left)
- Click start and wait
- If success, should be writen "PASS" on left side
For 2 files only
- Go to download mode
- Plug your device to PC/Laptop
- Open Odin
- Just choose PDA and browse it the file(forget about SS_DL.dll or XX.dll file)
- Check list auto reboot and f.reset time(look at the left)
- Click start and wait
- If success, should be writen "PASS" on left side
If there's something miss or wrong, please tell me, I'll fix it this ASAP
And Let's helping people

The site is blocked at my job so I can't go on there, but does it have the I527 version? When we were looking on there before there was nothing for that model.

Yes, it does.
Hate to burst bubbles. Sammobile still does not have sgh-i527 stock rom for att. It only has the Canadian version, sgh-i527m... sorry. Already sent mine to Samsung in plano, texas for flashing.

Great guide, but this will not work for the US i527. For whatever reason, AT&T does not even have the softeware for the Mega. I sent mine in for flashing and they had to send me a new one because they didn't have any software to flash.
Not all mega are sane bootloader and rom it varied by carriers mine is special lte version with spark usa onlt fyi samssung website do not carry usa region sigh!

Right. ATT doesn't have the software. Samsung made it for att and Samsung has it. You need to send it to Samsung but sounds like they fixed your problem anyway

Actually, I've gotten 2 new Megas. The first one had the slow rotate problem and they gave me a new Mega since it was in the 30 days. Two months later, the wifi wouldn't connect. Was told to take it to a device service center. They worked on it for 30 minutes before giving me another new Mega and was told AT&T still does not have the software.
Regading how you fix white screen problem
If I use the canadian version will it still work? Just curious because as of right now I am in a bootloop. Getting the white screen only but still allows me to download a new OS. I thank you for all the information in these thread but I need to know what else can I do if it does not have sghi527 as one of the download stock ROM?

Need help with samsung mega SGH-I527? is there any fireware and rom that are stock to download in my phone. IM IN A BOOTLOOT this moment and cant get out of the white screen mode. anyone help me please.
I was in bootloop too. No recovery rom available. I had to send mine to samsung. You can try wipe data and factory reset from recovery (power + vol up + home) but that didnt work for me.
Canadian or another rom will just give you an authentification error.

I don't know about model for at&t, cause only 1 model in my country, but if it's GSM too not CDMA, you could try the Canadian version software or international version
If you want a paper weight go ahead and flash,
We all know that our Mega has locked boot loaders making it unable to flash anything else.

I updated Kies and it unbricked my Mega.
I'm new to flashing and still need my hand held! I flashed my Mega 6.3 to Cyanagenmod 11 a couple of weeks ago but have now decided I'd like to return to a Samsung factory ROM. Can anyone please point me in the direction of a step-by-step guide or tutorial for doing this? Thanks.
Did you backup your original Samsung ROM before flashing cm. If so you should be able to just restore following a full wipe. If not you have two options download a custom stock ROM and follow their guide or download an Odin flashable ROM from sammobile.com and flash in Odin mode guide in their site. Bare in mind latest stock ROMs come with Knox so choose carfully

Many thanks. No, I didn't back up the Samsung ROM. I'm afraid I don't understand what "flash in Odin mode guide in their site" means. I also don't know what "Knox" is - so I'm certainly not qualified to make a careful choice of anything! This is what I mean about needing my handheld; I really do need a step-by-step tutorial.
Well Knox is Samsung's latest security software it kinda is a pain to root a device without tripping the efuse. And can interference with root apps. The latter can be overcome but is a pain.
There is a thread in this section on latest Samsung ROMs and Knox so worth a read. As for Odin. That is Samsung service center software which is freely avail able it flashes a full fat stock ROM inc modems etc from your PC over USB. You will need Samsung USB drivers installed easiest way and safest is download Samsung lies from their site install inc USB option. Then once finished uninstall leaving USB drivers.
You will find Odin guides everywhere on Google and it's relatively simple. Get ya rom from sammobile. Open Odin. Select ROM in Odin earlier versions you would put it under PDA. Put phone in download mode by powering off the phone then holding volume down and the home button press power on and hold for a few seconds. Your phone enters download mode (you may have to confirm by pressing volume button but screen will tell u this) your phone should then appear in Odin by showing a coloured com port box and number. Then click start. Just make sure you don't disconnect the cable and ensure phone has good charge left

Cheers. I used ODIN to flash cm11 onto the phone, so as long as it's as straightforward as just doing the same that again I should be fine. I'm just concerned about having to make decisions between doing A or B, but if, as you indicate; all I need to do is source the Samsung ROM and Flash it via Odin, I think I can manage that!
Thanks again for the help.
No worries if you look at sammobile you will find the stock ROMs for your model safest way is to pick the first build for your country the latest contain Knox. If you let me know the model number urs is and country I'll get you the direct link to the download

Thanks very much. It's a GT-I9205, United Kingdom.
So I have a Galaxy S5, SM-G900H to be more exact.
I first followed the instructions of this video /watch?v=xMWzMbM5SCk
I got a pass with the Odin just fine, put the SuperSU in the memory of the phone, did the boot with the volume up than it didnt work as the video, no option to access the zip SuperSU, but I could turn off and turn on my cell as if nothing happened.
So, I tried Odin again with this other SuperSU file that I downloaded download.chainfire(.)eu/402/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.zip
i95.photobucket dot com/albums/l136/vitor_roma/Picture22.jpg
But then I didnt get the pass, I got cache instead. The installation wouldnt complete. I removed the batery andn put it back only to get this eternal screen.
It says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
So what could I do to revert this bleak scenario?
So, the Kies software couldnt recognize my phone as needed of an emergency firmware, oh my...
I dont want to be rude, I know anyone here who helps me is doing a favor, but could you guys please reply?

Man, you helped me! Although indirectly, Odin was still able to detect it so the Download Boot worked. I used the same Root I used before, but this time it worked!
Lol, happy to (indirectly) help. Probably a good idea to create a backup with TWRP?
