Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue of Stock Headset low volume after NC5 update?
If so,
Does anyone have a fix?

This particular issue hasn't been widely reported on XDA here. There are two main options that I've seen on XDA for the Sprint Note 3 volume modification:
Volume Mod by @GamerOnOne.
ViPER4Android Audio Effects by @zhuhang and @viper520.
I don't know of any other mods that do this.
Hope this helps!

I would just edit the mix gain in system/etc folder.
Change the 32 in headset to 36 to 40ish.

The Samsung galaxy note seems to limit the available volume because of safety reason. I found a post that removes the volume limit for call volume but I need it for music volume
I've tried everything that people have suggested. The only thing that worked was using an equalizer from the market and then using an application other than the stock music player (like power-amp) to listen to music. Unfortunately this doesn't sound that great as even at small equalizer gain values it seems to degrade the sound quality and ultimately at higher gains distorts. Sadly even after rooting and running non-stock ROM's I can't seem to boost the audio values.
In most headphones and auxiliary ports the phones volume is quite good through the mini-jack. However, my work truck is awful and it needs to be boosted and maxed when streaming internet radio to even have a moderately loud listening volume.

Volume+ app by Meltus worked for me on the Unofficial ROM -- at least I think it did. Maybe it was just the EQ settings that did it?
Can you point me to the post that removes the volume limit for call volume? That's exactly what I need!
Same here. Call volume is pretty quiet on GB, or ICS.

This is a little silly, but have you both made sure you're actually lining up the speaker with your ear when you're talking on the phone? The phone is so big that it didn't line up the same as smaller phones. I notice quite a bit of difference when I adjust the speaker to line up directly with my ear.

I did notice that in your other thread. It did make a real difference but not enough unfortunately.
I want to make my phone call volume higher -- it's pretty noisy in my neighborhood!
I've tried adjusting the phone's position (suggested in another thread), and Volume+ by Meltus but neither working.
Volume+ did help make the ring louder but not call volume.
I'm on the latest Unofficial ROM, maybe it doesn't play well with Volume+?
Any suggestions -- has anyone gotten Volume+ to work on another ROM or kernel?
I am having the same problem and would like to see a solution to this problem

hello to all
ok it seems that going/testing different roms the ring volume and bluetooth volume varies from rom to rom
is there a way to boost the ring and bluetooth volume with going to add ons .thanks
Try qpst. It's a program that will allow you to increase the ring volume and maybe Bluetooth too. Google is your best friend and savior

been there done that have them at 4 no change in volume
Well then it could be a hardware issue or a rom issue. You didn't specify what you had done to fix the problem either. Didn't you read the warning on the guide that pushing your volumes to 4 could ruin your speakers in the phone? You may have to live with that problem or go get it fixed. Sorry I couldn't help you.
I find the volume is too soft/low when the phone is switched to a speaker mode. Anyone knows how to change it ? the System and Ring volume bar is already at max.
Xloud or volume+ have no effect.
So question is to know where to modify internal setting.
I already seen some words about a possible trick (may be in gagan rom?) but i can't get it back with search tool.
Ringtone and incall speaker volume is definitivly to low when outdoor!!
thanks for your help

OK you got the point! THE kernel is the culprit. I fully understand why I found only one time a good setting because at almost every rom a different kernel is or offered or required to install with....
Now I have to try remembering what I have done in the past months!
If somebody or some kernel expert know solution, they are welcome
Thanks again

I have asked this question in some of the individual ROM forums but never got a good answer. So starting a new Q&A thread.
How in the world can I bump up the in-call volumes on AOSP android 4.3 roms? I am talking only in-call headset volume.
Music volume is fine, In-call speaker volume is also fine (4.3 roms) - Just cannot get the in-call headset volume bumped up.
Tried using Devil kernel with Devil app - but I do not understand what values/parameters to bump up
This is pretty much the only issue I always flash back to TW roms. Anyone got any advise/suggestions?

What do you have your phone set to use. DSP Manager or something else. You can edit the individual volumes in most of the sound managers.
