Need some help - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I have the M7 ATT Htc one that I converted to the GPE , now I would like to go back to factory. I can't find the link to reverse what I have done. Can someone point me in the right direction?

you basically do the conversion in reverse. Don't lock the bootloader
use the MID change tool to put you MID back
change you CID back with fastboot
then flash the last RUU for your phone
hboot - 1.56 = a 4.3/4.4 RUU
hboot - 1.44 - 1.55 = a 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 RUU

[Q] Is this safe? ICS to JB

Hello!
Is flashing a JB ROM on :
- S-ON
- 1.53.0007 HBOOT
safe?
I guess that after flashing I gonna have a different hboot (correct me if I'm wrong).
And how about flashing from JB to ICS?
Thanks for advices, I'm really new into android roms and can't afford a new phone if this one would be bricked.

You need to read the OP for the ROM. Usually they say what HBOOT is needed.
I can tell you that in order to go to JB you will need to S-Off first.

Sadly dev haven't mentioned Hboot nor s-off or s-on. That's why I'm asking
Btw. Isn't only difference between S-ON and S-OFF that you have to flash boot.img via fastboot usb if you're S-ON?

No. Look here for an explantion of s-on versus s-off.
At quick search in the thread you linked yieled people saying you need 1.39.
If your phone is the gsm version, you will have to downgrade your hboot to 1.49. Now in order to downgrade, you're going to need to be s-off

You're most likely going to end up bootlooping and confused. Go ahead and stay on stock rooted, and get S-Off, it's almost no risk, as failing to do the procedure right just means you have to keep trying.
you need non-ics bootloader so you need s-off first (wiretrick) then downgrade BL and then update radio.

4.4.2 kitkat downgrade back to 4.3?

Hello good day to you all. To put it simply, kit Kat sucks. So, I really need help going back to 4.3, I followed clsA's tutorial upgrading to 4.4
If you're s-off just flash the AT&T RUU

Did the method work? I converted my AT&T HTC One to developer edition and upgraded it to Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6.0 with bootloader locked and S-OFF. Consequently, mu HBOOT was 1.57 and when I tried to flash the 4.3 RUU, it didn't work and showed error 155 or something like that. What I had to do for solving this was to flash HBOOT 1.55 (same as 4.3 RUU) and then run the 4.3 RUU. It succeeded after that.

Thanks for putting this into a guide! It is well written and easy to follow. I was finally able to return to stock following your instructions after getting on Sense 6 but needing to return the phone for warranty services.

Rooting ATT HTC One

Okay so im going to root my friends AT&t htc one. He has Sense 5 4.1.2 and 1.26.501.12 as his software number. I know i can unlock his bootloader using HTC Dev and then i can s-off using Rumrunner or which exploit to give him s-off?I see that people using rumrunner have 4.3 with hboot 1.5 i believe. Now based on my searching i dont need any special firmware hboot radio ect in order to flash 4.4 AOSP roms on this phone correct? What i was planning on doing was s-off then flashing Dirty Unicorns or maybe converting it to the M7_ul for Sense 6.

This is just my opinion but you should leave their phone on stock Sense roms
Rumrunner will work on 4.1.2 but you have to have a rom installed with insecure kernel like ARHD 31.6 here > http://www.androidrevolution.org/downloader/download.php?file=Android_Revolution_HD-One_31.6.zip
here's all the steps
unlock bootloader at htcdev
flash twrp 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
put the ARHD rom on the phone and flash it
s-off with RumRunner or firewater
then flash the new firmware to get everything up to date
http://d-h.st/a1w
instructions on flashing firmware are here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
Now your all set to start flashing any roms you like
The new ARHD 61 and Insertcoin 6th Sense are Sweet !!!

thanks he wanted Sense 6 but i thought it was only for the M7_ul so i guess he'll be happy getting sense 6. On HTC Dev i pick all other supported devices correct? Also the firmware you linked is that 4.4 radios hboot ect? Also after updating firmware i will still have s-off because it wont touch Hboot correct? The ARHD that you linked to flash so i can use Rumrunner it works on AT&T m7 correct? And i wont need to convert his One to a international version in order to Flash insert coin? because i see its in the international section or do roms from international One work on the AT&T and T-mobile variants?
All the gsm variants of the htc one are all rom compatible with each other unless directed other wise. If your s off you won't lose it if you upgrade from most threads on xda.

[Q] CM12 on HTC One (M8) with HBOOT 3.16

Hello,
I'm looking for some guidance on trying to install CM12 on HTC One (M8) with HBOOT 3.16.0.0000. Currently, when I try to flash the firmware in TWRP, I get a message that says HBOOT 3.18 or 3.19 is required. I do have S-OFF. Other information: CID-CWS__001. I'm not sure of the next steps to take.
Thanks!
When you say flash firmware are you talking about the cm12 ROM zip?
You flash firmwares in hboot/bootlooader.You will want to have Supercid for it to flash.

Yes, my mistake. I want to flash the CM12 ROM and I can't seem to do that because I (apparently) need a newer version of HBOOT.
My question is what is the next step? If I get supercid, will the CM12 ROM install or is there another intermediate step (upgrading HBOOT? How do I do that?).
Thanks!

Yes another step is needed,
Because your S-OFF,Supercid you can flash other firmwares to your device that will allow anything based on 5.0.0-5.0.1 and still run smoothly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/firmware-flashing-panic-attacks-t2824048
I even recommend converting to Dev edition fully and once fully converted it will OTA to the latest firmware for you .once your up to date you just use twrp/philz recovery and flash away

Thanks jball. I ended up doing something very similar (http://intoandroid.com/turn-gsm-htc-m8-google-play-edition/). Worked flawlessly and now I'm running Lollipop.

Your welcome
I came from that very conversion but what I don't like about the full conversion is the system is full to the max .
Now by converting to Dev edition and flashing the ROM instead I have all this system left cause of the Sense partition table
I'm still on GPE conversion...I had thought about switching to Dev edition though...which firmwares have y'all used ? I was thinking 3.28.1540.5...
Well I was going to screenshot boot loader, but I forgot the key combo for boot loader screenshots. Here's what I with
Hboot: 3.19
Cid : 11111111
Mid: OP6B17000
FW : 3.11.1700.5
Im using graffixnyc's android l firmware

You would want to use the 3.28.1540.***** cause if you did the earlier ruu you won't be able to OTA unless you change your CID

You think it makes sense to upgrade FW to 3.28.1540? Are the OTA updates the main benefit to upgrading?

No not the only benefit,
Stability when flashing the most recent Roms is another reason.
When flashing lollipop Roms it helps to be as up to date as you can in my opinion.
I found that when I flashed a lollipop firmware and then flashed a lollipop ROM it basically converted me to full GPE and left me with the system being about 200kb chey of having no space left (just like taking the OTA to GPE lollipop does)

Why would this matter? It allows you to go back to Sense ROMs. But aside from that, I don't think that having system storage available yields any benefit. Or am I missing something?

It mattered when I tried to move an 815kb file to "system/bin" when there was only 225kb of system left.
It's a known issue ,
So I went back to Sense and flashed the stock GPE 5.0.1 ROM and have over 1.5g of extra space (not that I could soak up that much space)

Ah, I see. So obviously if you try to add something to the system partition, and its maxed out, then that is a problem. Figured I was missing something.

[Q]HBOOT Downgrade via OTA?

I have a GPE One m7 converted from am ATT m7 and I am currently s-on and I have the 1.57 hboot. Did anyone know/think it will be possible to flash a stock ROM and recovery then flash an OTA containing a lower HBOOT version than my current one (specifically an OTA with the 1.44 HBOOT) and successfully downgrade the HBOOT to 1.44?
Any responses are greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I didn't think you could downgrade to an h-boot version that was not used with the Android version you're on. I think 1.55 can only downgrade to 1.55.

absolutely not.
You need s-off to downgrade hboot nd must be done by flashing a RUU or a firmware in RUU mode.
