If I'm not wrong the bottom is plastic instead of aluminium, while the side is aluminium.
If you change it you will lost waterproof.
There is only adhesive tape to hold the bottom bezel, no screws. So i thought to heat the adhesive a litle bit and replace it but im not sure if its even possible.

Not so sure,if the factory screen protector is scratched, they will replace, but not sure about the bottom plastic plate.
It is fine if it does not effect the phone and waterproof, mine also got scratch at top but I just leave it there, maybe you can use a case.
They do not replace parts if there is only cosmetic damage. But you can always try to open a ticket and send your device off to repair ..you might be lucky

Hi,
Unfortunately today I dropped my Td2 to the city streets! My my has broken!
The two corners on the top damaged and metal place under the buttons. But the touch screen not!!!
Has anyone information where can I buy frame for Td2 in the internet? I couldn't reach the service in Hungary.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck. If all else fails just thought I would mention I have seen a faulty one in the Marketplace in case of any use.
Hope you get sorted.

Who knows what the silver color frame is made of.
It seems to be some kind of metal "cap" on a plastic frame.
But what metal ?
What do you think/know about it ?

Sorry to hear about your crashed device :-(
May be you can tell us now what material the silver frame is really made of.
Metal or only sprayed plastic ?
Under the 4 buttons is metal but the corners on the top are plastic.

Finally I chose the official service because warranty. The price will be 75 eur.
That sucks that you dropped the phone. I have dropped mine twice at home on Hardwood floors and once in the street. The one in the stree was a ig one. Luckily the only damage is to the top left corner. It has a tiny indent. Doesn't bother me much.
Its made of plastic with matal framing in it.

Hi
Get a lanyard, then before you start doing anything slip the lanyard over your wrist and you can't drop it.

I'm not sure from the pictures but can anyone tell me if the front frame comes with the (touch) screen already in place or do we have to glue it or whatever ourselves?
Oh! Almost forgot....... I dropped my TD2 and the front frame is a bit damaged in all corners!
Has anyone bought one of these housings and found it to be complete (not missing the camera metal cover) from ebay?
I have been bitten once and am twice shy now.
Also trying to find concise disassembly instructions.

I have had mine for a week and dropped it today. I know you pain. Mine is working but got 1cm scratch on screen and a few dents on the corners. The scratch is annoying. I have insurance but I think I will wait until next disaster. This does not help you but atleast your not the only phone dropper
Is there any place to attach a phone charm? I couldn't find any.

You could probably drill a couple tiny holes at one of the bottom corners of the back plate and run it through there. The under casing in those areas look well closed off.

You can buy a case and drill a hole through it instead. I think it's easier with one of the TPU cases.
I'm thinking of doing something like that

i had the issues caused by dust, cleaning it out fixed all my issues.
some people said that the rubber was sort of malformed and just presssing against it fixed their issue
you can pop the flaps out and replace them if needed.

Never seen or heard of this before, but this happened to me. See attached image. What is this thing? It doesn't move when I tap the phone against something. Pictures are obviously crap. Is my next move removing the back cover to get rid of this thing?
Phone is less than 1 year old, but I don't think I can get warranty service as I bought it in the US as the international "no warranty" version from Amazon.

Good Luck
:good:
I got a hair dryer and guitar pick and pulled the back cover off just enough to get the debris out. It appears to be a stray bit of adhesive or sealing tape around the camera lens. All good now, except my phone is probably no longer waterproof.

Yes. I didn't pull off the entire back cover, only pulled up the corner where the camera is. I suppose I could buy a new back with fresh adhesive to try and make it waterproof again, but I'm not sure how successful that would be.

Gotcha. I'm just curious because I'd like to sand down and buff out a clear back for mine. I think it'd be pretty neat.

Does anyone know how the sliding system will cope with the protection covers and tpu bumpers?
Just got my mix 3, China version. Looks like the cases and bumpers could fit snugly around the top and both sides. On the bottom the front facing third is sorta notched so the face can slide down. At least that's what it looks like to me...
See case bump out on my mi mix 3
<just noticed the original upload failed...reupping photos of included case. You will notice the case does not cover the bottom completly, just enough for the slider to move.>

I don't think I got a case that shipped with mine. . .unless I did lift up something to find it. I know there's the wired and wireless charger in there. But I didn't see any case
I'll have to look more thoroughly later

The bottom part is actually part of a larger piece of plastic that surrounds the entire phone, top and bottom. This piece slides within the bottom case.
There are even more variants available:

Is your case aluminium or TPU?, Someone in another thread has said they have problems with GPS when they have the case on, could be 2 different cases obviously but

The case is beautiful but not so skinny and very slippery! If my wireless charger is not perfectly horizontal, the phone go away...
For now, the best i tried is Nillkin.

Wireless charging works with this case? & Nillkin doesn't provide protection for the bottom of the screen, otherwise I'd definitely go with Nillkin
Yes it work. The nillikin don't protect the bottom but it falls 5time less. My mix3 hit the ground 4times today.

With the full? Case. The slide mechanism is good but hard to open with one hand. The back is too slippery
