I wanted to reinstall an update for my E460, and hopefully get a non-branded soft, so I decided to edit file build.prop. So, if anyone has on older version than V10J, could you post here what's in property " ro.engmode.swversion"? (I have "E46010j-ORG-XX").
Also, if you have a non-branded soft, could you tell me what do you have in property "ro.product.brand"? I have "Orange", cause I have a branded soft.

I want ask if is possible to change by myself the Touch firmware.
I know that some people taked after an upgrade soft a change of Touch version,so I want try to change mine.
Maybe changing regione code of phone I can do an upgrade by Seus in favour to take a touch firm. change?

Hi guys,
I was testing other versions of ROM / Kernel in my device. Unfortunately it crushed and I want to reset it.
The problem is, I can't find KDZ or Stock Firmware + Original Kernel to get back to factory conditions. I can only find versions of Metro or D325n, but not for dual.
I tryed it either way but it didin't work. It stuck on LG boot screen. I suspect it caused due to the kernel of other version (metro)
Please, hope somebody can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hoping someone will finally help me on this question! Ok, I'm a rookie when it comes to understanding phone differences and if a mistake is made, you will brick your phone. I compared the hardware differences between the LG G5 RS988 unbranded and the T-Mobile H830. From what I can tell, they are essentially the same phone. Differences would be in the software from an unbranded phone and a branded phone. More or less bloatware, differences in the essential apps such as messenger, email, calendar, phone etc which is the UI. I am just trying to understand why an image from an H830 wouldn't work on the RS988. Both phones have the same baseband, kernel and build number. I would appreciate it if someone would enlighten me. The kernel verifies the model, usually the build.prop tells the kernel if it can work or not in a device, to be able to flash a firmware to a device meant for another, you gotta change the build.prop model if you Know that there is no difference at all hardware wise, thats a common practice. But if you flash the firmware without Changing that property, it will just not boot

it is possible to debrand H930 with Polish Plus firmware? My firmware is: V10e-260-01 - can i reflash open europe firmware - i found files: H93010f_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0925.kdz and H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120.kdz which one will be suitable for this operation?
Flash the newest open: H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120.kdz
It will remove all carrier apps and boot/power off splash animations if you have it.
I've done it on my Italian H930 TIM carrier branded and it got rid of the above.
You do not need to unlock bootloader to do this. Use Uppercut + LG UP trick.
You also do not have to wipe all your data, mine works just fine without any wiping.
I done it as you described but now in version i see: 10v-260-01 - its looks like branded but there is not brand - why version is with carrier number?
And LG Bridge as repair downloads branded firmware... so its not worked.
But splas screen changed from branded to LG Generic... strange...

Having troubles understanding what you're saying.
You say that carrier's splash screen is gone and carrier's apps are gone then everything worked as it was supposed to.
Why did you use LG's repair? Because firmware number is wrong?

Firmware upgraded with LGUP and kdz file - splash screen looks like original firmware but in firmware version i see firmware correct but with extension -260-01 like branded...
When i try to check LG bridge recognise as branded and try to download branded firmware too.

Ah yeah I understand now, you want to get rid of the MCC and MNC code which in your case is 260 - Poland, 01 - Plus.
I don't think there's a known way to remove that..yet. Maybe some kind of dial code exists but I'm unaware.
You will still receive OTA and the branding will never come back so I don't think you should worry about it too much.

It might work for us too, but you need to be rooted. Haven't tried myself yet. Secret menu code for V30 H930 is *#546368#*930#

Afaik H930G is just H930 with extra storage so it should theoretically work...
Maybe someone with more experience will help you.

I have the same question here, can someone with more experience or with the actual device H930G confirm this?
Since H930 models are only 64gb variants, I wonder if their firmware will work with H930G V30+ 128GB.

Hi everybody,
like manny other user, I've tried too update my H900 and didn't knew, that the Mainboard is from VS990. I used the LGUP flashtool and web_h90021w_00_0921.kdz stock rom from this forum, because I'm in Germany and won't get any OTA updates.
Now, like all the others, I am in the Android 6.0 hole. That means the device is starting but VPN, Fingerprint sensor and some other apps are crashing and I can't downgrade or upgrade or do anything because of locked bootloader and downgrade.
I will never ever use a LG device again! The software and hardware versioning really s...ks, you can call it bad engineered and bad managed!
Is there any solution to solve this problem and get a working device in the end? No matter which Android version, no matter if rooted or not, no matter if temperary bricked or not.
Just ANY solution of his issue?
