Hello
Newbie at using Android here;
I have Galaxy S3 I9300, that was working fine until i rooted it and did bad manip with Titanium Backup !
It started to mess up, so i looked everywhere to fix it , tried everything and even finally unrooted phone; no joy.
Then i read; "Factory reset your phone" (which is Not the best solution), that i did ..; no joy there again !!
Phone won't go into Playstore due to the fact ; i cannot ADD on phone My Google account due to ( "Can't establish a reliable connection.."), also i tried to add New Google account; then phone says " name already taken, even if i typed ; "[email protected] " !!
I then; Wiped data, Cache, partition etc ; No joy there either ..??
I'm pretty sure that it is nothing much to do ..but i do not know what it is ..
from what i read it can be a common problem but solutions varies
Does anyone having done all i've done found The Solution ..?
Thanks
You've corrupted the firmware. Flash a full stock rom with Odin then factory reset.

Try this method
You should create a gmail account at Gmail.com then try to log into your phone using the account you create at Gmail.com.. Maybe this will work.
Please Hit The Thanks Button. Thank you.

I'd like to sell my HD2 running Android. However I cannot get it to reset the gmail account that I entered on it. These are things I've tried just so you know I'm not being lazy. Also please be gentle if this is not in the right area. Its a windows based hd2 running android so the correct section was a little confusing. Also I didn't flash it and of course the person that did isn't around compounding the issue. I need to maintain the flash but if I can't I can't .
1. data reset, several times
2. deleting the account ( I get an error saying, " This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults blah blah blah").
3. Going in and clearing "google apps" which doesn't exist.
I appreciate any help.
save all apps and data with titanium backup, move apps to sd card. and do a factory reset. sounds like you have a bug. and it needs a reflash or something...
first, turn on wifi. then reboot your phone with wifi on. try to delete account now.
not sure about how it works on a hd2 running android but you can not the main gmail account when android is loaded.
I would recommend booting into recovery mode ( not sure how you would do that in a hd2 ) and doing a factory resst from there.
Only solution is to delete all android related programs off of sd card and reflash, thanks a million though guys.

factory rest ...and reset from recovery mode too if needed
I'm having a similiar problem. I have an HTC HD2 from Tmobile that now has Android 2.2 that I installed from DFT. I am now wanting to give this phone to my son and unable to remove my gmail acct.
Here is what I have done:
1. Manage apps>force stop & clear all data for google apps & reboot phone
2. Settings>Accounts>delete account, etc... (given error message and unable to delete)
3. SD & Phone storage>Factory data reset (phone reboots with all information still the same)
4. Soft (pressing yellow button on back of phone)
5. Hard reset (holding both volume buttons, etc...)
6. Install root explorer (unable to find accounts.db file)
7. Ask store associate for assistance (no help at all)
8. Search the internet far and wide for past 2 days to no avail
I'm not worried about any information/apps that may be deleted. I just want my email deleted as the primary.
Thank you!

but phone should be rooted.
I just got my Atrix yesterday, I seem to have the issue where it wont successfully log in to google talk which also means that I cant download apps. I've tried making a new account which also failed to work. Are there any ideas out there for how I could fix it?
Can anybody help me?
I had the same problem and figured out that it was Droid Wall keeping Gtalk from connecting. Make sure Talk can access the network freely.

After cloning a samsung gio s5660 through a CWM backup I started experiencing the same issue. Heres What REALLY happens.
Google authenticates you in their services trought unique "keys" which are automatically generated upon system installation / factory reset, so if you clone your device or install a rom which has these "keys" pre-installed, obviously, your rom will only autheticate you in google servers if your phone is the only one using the service at that given time... Upon failure, your phone assumes to be the one who's wrong, and google servers won't autheticate you until you either tell your phone he is not wrong (by deleting the data from play store, which resets its status and errors) or you change the "keys". SO, what can we learn from this? deleting the play store data IS a temporary solution, and won't solve a thing. Let's delete the duplicated keys shall we?
Navigate with your favourite folder explorer on your android (I use X-plore, you can tell me anything, there's nothing better) to the following directory:
- "(root)/data/data/com.google.android.gsf"
Now you have two real options, either you may delete the all folder, which was the perfect solution for me, since my rom is prepared to re-create it upon phone restart and new keys will be generated, OR, you might want to just delete the contents of app_sslcache inside com.google.android.gsf whish are THE KEYS I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ALL TIME, YEEEIHHHH and reboot your phone...
Needless to say, take a nandroid backup before you do any of this...
Thank me later
For those who remember me from symbian s60v3 phones, yes, it is me, I'm back, and I've moved to the droid world, it's much better indeed
Let me just say, I have no idea why this thread was moved or resurrected. Whoever did so was about a year and a half too late. Please close/delete this thread.

no need for big letters mate
maybe do a full wipe and try opening another account from the market that may work.
I assume you have a gmail address and have used it on the device to log in?
When you log into your Android Market account via your PC, using this gmail address, what do you see in My Market Account/Settings?
You should see a list of devices there under My Devices and a list including headers like
NICKNAME VISIBILITY MAKER MODEL CARRIER LAST USED, etc.
Sorry for using big letters. My intention was to get a quick attention.
Yes I used my gmail account thru my Device many times.
But under My devices, it shows "There are no Android devices associated with this account."
whether I should use some special application to associate my device.?
What version of Android Market do you have on your phone?
What ROM? Carrier?
Have you tried signing out, recovering your password and signing back in?

I suggest you simply do a factory restore, that will wipe most stuff on your phone but I guess it doesn't matter since it is a new phone.
Then make sure you enter correct gmail-account when requested after the factory restore (probably what got wrong the first time).
(settings->privacy->factory data reset)
I tried signing out, recovering your password and signing back in method before but it doesn't work.
Regarding ROM and carrier , I have no idea how to identify those things from my device.
Please advice me how to get those information.

Moving to Q&A
Hi everyone . i own a galaxy s3 (GT-I9300) with Orange Sim .
Now i have reset my phone few days ago . (Factory Reset) now after the reset i tired to log into my google account to gain access to the Google Store . now i face an error when i try to log into my acc ,that says: "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care."
now i use my wifi network and i can surf in the internet through my device . but i can log into my google account . i tried to:
1)Full Wipe/Factory Reset again - DIDN'T WORK
2)trying to delete /data/data/com.android.providers.settings - DIDN'T WORK
3)trying to connect to my Youtube Acc. - DIDN'T WORK
im out of ideas . i must say that before the reset i could log into my acc and everything . now i cant .
do you have internet access ?
try to open your browser see if your'e connected to the internet.
it's possible that you just need to add your operator APN.
if you are connected to the internet try to remove your account and re-add it via settings.

i don't have internet package . i always use wifi . and it worked well before i have done the reset . yes im connected and can surf just cant log into my google acc . tried 3 different accounts . same result . i can't re-add the account because i couldn't log into it in the first place .
well, i also searched for you and all the solutions lead to the youtube login.
i'd give another shot to:
1. clear youtube data
2.remove sim card.
3. start the phone, connect to WIFI and make sure you surf.
4. login to youtube, and than to gmail.
what's your phone status? rooted? stock\ custom rom ?

i tried the youtube thing again . didn't work . i can't log into any Google Applications . getting same result .
now my phone status is: normal . stock rom , stock kernal , my phone was rooted but i unrooted it today . i'm having this problem since Thursday. before the reset i could log in without problems. running 4.1.2 Android version if its matter .
Try flashing a stock ROM via Odin, wipe everything from recovery. It should work fine after that.
i agree, i don't see anything else that could solve this.
though it's really strange that your'e running stock and can't get it to work, maybe someone else could assist you further than i.
GL anyways man!!
Can you send me a tutorial of how to flash a stock rom ? i'm new to this .

Hello every one.At first I have to be sorry of my english,i'm in intermediate level.
Well I have a big problem with my phone,Xperia P. I Cant acces to my google account on it.In each problem that google has developed there's no access for me(gmail, google play,....it asks for google account on each one of them and there is no access for me on google account). When i get to settings to add my google account from the accounts part, i will have these problems:after choosing the exicting ,it asks me to enter a gmail id and after i enter my information,it says that your connection is not ok and you must change it.I have changed my wifi connection a lot, even with 4-5 different isp,and that's like this with the data too.
And when I choose the new button,it asks me to enter a name and after that an id.at the next,it says that your id is not exists and you must chang it.i have entered many different ids but i have this problem with all of them.
I dont prefer to factory reset,so if there is some another way please tell me.
my stock rom(4.1.2)is already rooted and my kernel is 3.0.8 and my phone is xperia p.
thanks for your help and excuse me again for my english.
The only way better is to Reset, before that open apps-All apps- select credential manager - - clear data like vice do for some other system apps , related to google, have reboot and try , if not factory reset
Flash a custom romkeep looking for something new:good:
If you already root your phone then check your host file in /system/etc/host. Delete every line in it if exist.
