They are located in csc/customer
xml. Just search for the bookmarks and change editable to true and reboot. Then you should be able to delete or change them as you like. ps, typed that from memory so it might be slightly different.

Should I change the word Editable to true or the (no) which is next to it to true, thanks in advance.

Anyone have the NIV database for the YOUVERSION Bible app? If it follows the naming scheme of the others, it should be something like niv.1.sqlite3 possibly in either
sdcard\.youversion\
or
data\.youversion\
I got it on my old phone when they were offering it as a download, got the atrix, formatted the sd card and now I don't have the database. Anyone who downloaded it during that window willing to post it?
me also. I want the niv .sqlite3 file of YouVersion app. I lost my Nexus One which has the niv offline version. The niv offline version is not available anymore to download it into my Nexus S =(
Anybody here please share the file
Thanks
- Warner
Me, too
I'm also trying to recover my previously downloaded NIV (and NLT) versions. If anyone is willing to share, that would be great.

Me Three
I need the same thing.... I changed SD cards. My old one went bad and I lost everything.
I have both NIV and NLT sqlite3 files from my iPhone but they cause FC when I put them on my Inspire. Any ideas?
If you share the files with me, I'll stick them on my droid and see what happens. ndimmickpublic AT gmail dot com.
monsterofmen, Thanks for sharing those files. I was unable to get them to work on my Moto Droid. I copied them into the the .youversion (hidden) folder on the SD card and could then select them from the bible list. However, the app force closes every time after selecting one of the two bible you provided. I removed the files, and the app works fine again. I don't have any idea what to do next.
Files

No problem. Hopefully someone will figure it out.

I'd love to see the files, maybe we could alter a few things in the headers to get them to work?

I've done a little investigating. It appears that the iPhone files that you guys are passing around are structurally a little different than the Android versions.
The iPhone files doesn't appear to have the verses in two different tables encoded, on the Android those two columns are encoded. I'm not sure how they are encoded though.
btw, If anyone has the Android version of the NLT Bible and wouldn't mind sharing...... Also, Thanks ndim for the file.
Hey, do you know if the niv.db would work on the blackberry? Could you please allow me to try them to find out? [email protected].... Thanks!!
If anyone would be as kind to share the android db with me [email protected] i would like to try
I still only have the iPhone versions of the NIV an NLT. I would love to get the Android versions, too. ndimmickpublic AT gmail.com.
So, Has anyone successfully added the iPhone files back to the YouVersion Bible app? Version 3.5?
I was able to open the app on my mac, but I don't see any sqlite files. If someone could shed some light on it, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
For iPad?
I would like to try it on my ipad2. If someone can pass me that file I can give it a try.

I've emailed you the links.
Hi all,
I was looking for a solution to bypass the enforced password when using exchange email (as I'm using widgetlocker) but found that the standard gingerbread email mods out there do not have the preview pane function added by SEwhich i find very useful.
I have modded the semcemail.apk to bypass security policies as per method provided in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12953001&postcount=1
Push it to /system/app and set the permissions to rw-r--r--
I'm a noob so I prob can't troubleshoot if you have problems using it but it works fine for me.
Hope this helps someone

Works great. Thanks
buddy, possible to mod the email app with search function? thanks
Looks like you've had better luck than me! I've been trying to mod the email app too, but have been having problems: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1278979
I was trying to extend the 1 month limit on the exchange sync - ideally to a year, or just everything. As I'm not having much luck, is that something you could take a look at? In the thread above I've suggested where the changes might be needed.

It says app cannot be installed. I tried to push it to system/app but there it says its readonly file which cannot be pasted. Help me I want the one that can work properly with my xperia play or any other default email apk for my xperia play. =(
You have to be rooted to be able to paste it to /system/apps.
If you are rooted, use RootExplorer and switch R/O mode to R/W mode in the /system folder in the app. Then you will be able to paste the apk. Don't forget to change permission!
Hope it helps.
I'm in need of finding out the best way to modify an HTC system app.
Every time I've tried (smali, baksmali, apk package, etc.) always makes the app force close upon launching when I put it back in system/apps.
What is the best way to modify an HTC system app? I want to change the default reply/sending font of the native HTC mail client to Calibri or other because it is currently Times New Roman 12 pt (not standard across any corporation I'm aware of -- not sure why we don't have the ability to change the sending font).
Any help is appreciated. I will donate to anyone who can help me. Very important to my work as I don't want to seem as if I'm not on the job. I use Exchange to answer e-mails/view e-mails as I'm on the go or away from my desktop. If I keep replying with two different fonts it would seem very unprofessional.
After editing it , did you sign it using apkmanager? This maybe the root of your problem

I've tried signing and not signing. Both will force close.
IIRC you aren't suppose to resign HTC system apps? Only repackage.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Bump. Please help.
Anybody have any insight?

Ok folks, this might seem like an odd request, and I hope I'm posting this in the right place...
Long story short, old laptop was fired up and Chrome sync'd and wrecked my bookmarks on my desktop PCs. The bookmarks on my Nexus in Chrome haven't sync'd up to the server yet and contain all the bookmarks I've lost. I'm looking for a way to extract them from my phone and try to port them back to my desktop.
ANY help would be appreciated. I'm running stock ICS, but I am unlocked and rooted.
I also have a Titanium Backup that should hopefully also contain a valid back up of the data.
I have been searching the web all morning and haven't found any suggestions on this yet.
Thanks in advance!
Try this app, it exports the bookmarks into a html file (it can be easily imported to Chrome ).
That's really cool, my only problem is it's looking at the default browser's bookmarks and not the Chrome bookmarks. LOL I don't see an option to change it.
Thanks.

Hmm... you're right
Are you sure that Chrome doesn't have an option to export the bookmarks? (Go to Bookmarks, and press the Menu button to check it )
Yes, sadly I have tried that a few different times. I also dug around in the file system to see if I could find the chrome settings but didn't have any luck.
That's weird, dude... i tried it right now, and I can see the Export option
At this point I have no more ideas (I'm assuming that you have searched in the internal memory)
You have an export option in chrome beta from your android device? I don't on my nexus. I did dig deeper into the titanium back up I pulled today and I found the bookmarks file! Now I need to get google sync to stop overwriting them! I'm trying to avoid deleting all my sync'd data in my google dashboard for chrome!
Yes, but I tried with a hacked version (I have an ARMv6 processor)... anyways, I'm glad that you found solution to your problem (you done the most difficult part )
Regards!
Hah, I think the most difficult part is yet to come. To convince google's servers that these are the bookmarks to propagate and not all the old ones that it keep's sync'ing in!
Thanks for your help.

I have stock/unrooted GN2. I scrolled through pages and pages on both the general GN2 Help forum, as well as this one, and didn't see anything similar posted. ( it's probably on the the last few pages I skipped in both forums )
I deleted the 4 folders of templates. ( I know, I know ).
Now, I can't add images or anything. I can only create a basic text note. When I try to add an image to note, I get a message that says "Error occured."
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :good:

Yeah, That's kind of what I was thinking as well. I tried to reinstall the apps. I even reloaded the SNB files, but it still behaves the same way.
My issue is if you need the templates, why do the allow for a user to delete it. Bad design. ( I'm a software developer in the corporate world )

I already have a notes app on my phone called Extensive Notes, that I've had for a few years on all my droids, cause I wanted something for writing lyrics on the fly.
You can create notes of every kind - text, image, video, paint, etc. Even secure notes that are password protected. You can edit the images with the SPen, cause I've done it. You can share notes, create folders, etc.
I'll just continue to use that.
It was like $5 or something like that. Works just fine for what I need.
