I noticed that the battery performance is dropped after the latest omate OTA update than before, is anyone also see that? Any one has a solution for That?

i have installed villian 3.1 and since then my battery has only lasted a 1/4 of what it should do and i was wondering if there is any software or any tweaking codes i could use that will help extend my battery life????
Hi,
I'd follow this guide and install the overclocker widget. It bascially slows your cpu right down whilst your phone is on sleep. Made a BuGE difference to my phone.

The reason for the battery life is a bug in DMAgent. There's a fix available that's designed for VillainROM 3.2, so if you upgrade to that and then appy the fix listed in this wiki page: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=VillainRom3.2Fixes that'll solve your problem

try Defiance rom as it has battery fix included. few of us are testing to see how long battery does last and if its actually this dmagent thing causing the drain issues. so far so good after 7 hrs
Hi i am recently encountering a massive battery drain when phone is on idle. Screen off, wifi and everything off even syncs. Brightness only 15%. Battery is draining average of 10% per 2 hours on standby. I uninstalled all apps prior to this prob but still nothings changed. It wasnt like this before. I downloaded betterbattery and i have 3 things on top list under kernel wakelock. The smdcntl0, smdcntl1 and radio interface. But i have no idea what they are..
By any chance i have a virus that only a repair would fix?
Also, i heard that there is a new firmware for xperia s. If i downloaded the firmware in the future will that reset and fix my phone's problem? Cause i dont want to back up 2 g worth of mp3 for a single repair. Perhaps there are simpler solutions.. Any answer would be appreciated.. Thanks..
Ps. Im using stock ics no root no nothing and i dont plan on rooting.
same problem for me on stock 2.45 and cm 9.1
It's the modem.
The Battery standby issue getting worst... !!
Previously XDA developers have been posted regarding this and solution is given only for rooted S3 ..!
As i dont want to root my phone , is it possible to rectify the issue ? Or When jellybean Update gets this problem will be solved ?
Please help me because fed up with standby problem..photo is attached..!
The issue is that cell standby is just "reported" wrong. There is no insane battery drain
new update rolling out. check in kies if you can't see in your OTA. it fix this.
I don't know if it's since the update or since I got this replacement phone a month ago but I'm noticing it more now so it seems to me to be the update
I feel like my battery is depleting pretty damn fast considering what I do with it and how I use it through the day
I'm not the best with the technical aspects of this so if someone can help me try to figure out why this is possibly happening or maybe it is normal
Here is some battery stats, i feel at this point in the day i shouldnt be this low, i just use facebook for about 30 min when i first wake up then the occasional text and call during the day
let me know if you need any other info
Thanks
Are you referring to the ota update or a custom rom update?

OTA update
I have a rooted vz s4 running all the latest ota's. This thing drains so fast while on cellular. Can't make it till the afternoon. Better battery stats says that "msm_hsic_host" is killing my battery...
Any fixes for this? I searched but maybe I did not search correctly cause I have seen no fixes.
Thanks in advance
Super-duper late but any luck? I'm having the same problem but only when it the screen is on not sure if that's a problem. Lol
