1).Halo))) For sgs
2).Xhalofloatingwindow module

How do I make this work ?
I've installed the xposed module, it is up and running. I've installed the additional multi window sidebar app.
I created a group of apps to open in multiwindow but it gives - :fingers-crossed:
"There was a problem launching the app: null"
Any idea ?
Which one of the additional apps you are using ?

use halo))) it give best perfomence.....

any one tested this mod ?! and if , does this mod work ?

Yeah, it works ! :good:

how does it work ?! i don't understand any thing ?
---------- Post added at 04:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:04 PM ----------
after search you must download and install this xposed app ==>http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053

Assuming you've already installed Xposed and know how it works.
Download and install the module.
Activate the module.
Perform a soft reboot.
Now download the Halo for SGS app and install it.
Open this app.
Select the apps to be shown in multi window mode.
And just run it.
If you ask me I don't find this much productive. As you already know how small Star's screen is , it can barely view a single app. :silly:
I don't think it'll be a good idea to use multi-window on a 3 inch screen.
But hey, it doesn't hurt to try now, does it ?

Complete Noobs Guide to Rooting and Xposed Framework Mi3

I see many people here who dont really are sure how to root there phone and install xposed framework. Yes it feels bad when you see people talking about ti and you dont know what they are talking about. Had this feeling during my classes in schools though. So I thought of creating this thread for their help.
This guide will be in three stages. (I hope you can bear with me for that long)
Stage 1: Rooting your phone
Stage 2: Installing Xposed (WSM)
Stage 3: Useful Xposed Modules
But first thing first. I need to put things off my chest. Well, if something goes wrong with your device, Please Please dont sue me. I will not be held responsible for anything you do to your device. In war there are casualities. And I will not be responsible for them. If you are brave heart, or can see your phone exploe without tossing a tear in your eye, then only read below. You still have time to leave this thread. You will be the one responsible for what happens next. Enough of scaring you lets read on.
ROOTING
First step to do is root your Mi3. Every fight begans with first step. Or may be first attack I should say.
Advantages of Rooting :-
Well, rooting an Android phone simply means to gain administrative privilages on the system (that sounds exciting). When you buy a new phone, you are just a guest user on the phone. You can use the phone, just as a guest would use Windows, but you will not be able to make any changes to the system files.
However, after you have a root access over your phone, you could browse your root folder and make any changes to the system files on your phone. And that means the ability to make all kinds of changes and install more powerful apps that you cant use on a non-rooted phone.

Uninstall Bloatwares (Yeah those apps that you want remove but you cant find an uninstall button for them)
Modify system files (for good use offcourse)
Use special apps designed to work on rooted phones and make full use of your phone
Does rooting void warranty ?
Yes and No. You can root your Mi3 using two methods. One is to root the stable ROM. That will void your warranty. Other method is to install Developer ROM. That will not void your warranty.
How to ROOT :-
Method 1 ( Install Developer Version of ROM ) :- This is the safest method to gain ROOT access on your phone. You have to install developer version of MiUi ROM on phone. But it has few problems :
a) There is no developer version ROM for Indian Mi3. So you have to flash Chinese version. It means there will be no GApps (PlayStore etc). Also, some of the apps will be in Chinese. Also, developer version of ROM is little unstable and buggy.
But it has its advantages also :
a) Your warranty does not get void
b) You get ROM updates every week.
So those who want to go this way may follow these instructions to install Develop Version ROM on their Mi3
1) Download the latest Developer Rom (TD) from Download Developer ROM (It will be in zip format)
2) Copy & paste the zip file you downloaded to "downloaded_rom" folder on your phone memory
3) Go to Settings -> About phone -> System update -> Press Menu Button -> select update package -> Select the zip file copied to phone.
4) Install it and reboot your phone when asked to
5) Now you are on Dev ro. Go to "Security" app. In this app go to "Permission Manager" and enable "Root Access".
6) Voila !! You are now rooted !!!
Method 2 (ROOT Stable ROM) :- This method works only for Indian version on Mi3 running on stable MiUi5 v 34. For rest you can follow this thread : This method will possibly void your warranty. So think before you proceede.
1) Download the zip file from "http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2979259&d=1413879720"
2) Copy & paste the zip file you downloaded to "downloaded_rom" folder on your phone memory
2) Go to Settings -> About phone -> System update -> Press Menu Button -> select update package -> Select the zip file copied to phone.
3) Install it and reboot your phone when asked to
4) Go to "Security" app. In this app go to "Permission Manager" and enable "Root Access".
5) Voila !! You are now rooted !!!
XPOSED Framework
After you root your phone you open a world of possiblities on your phone. You can remove pre-installed apps from your phone using root app remover apps in play store. Just search for "Root" in play store and you will se many apps that are really really cool. Some of them are :
1) Titanium Backup : Backups your whole phone inculding apps and there data
2) Greenify : Puts unused apps in hibernation mode so that they dont start automatically.
3) AdAway : This app cannot be downloaded from Play Store. Search for it on google and install it and say goodbye to ads in your apps.
4) Xposed Framework : This is the big one we are talking about.
Does Xposed work on MiUi ROM ?
MiUi have a thing called dexspy that kind of uses the same code as Xposed framework. So they might conflict with each other and your phone may not boot again. But in latest versions on MiUi they have deactivated dexspy, so Xposed will install fine. Still, I am not reponsible if your phone does not boot again or explode or anything.
So the other way round is to install WSM Tool. It is Xposed framework for Miui. Works exactly like Xposed framework. No harm in using it instead of Xposed. So why not go for it.
Install WSM Tools :-
1) Download WSM Tools from WSM Tool Download
2) Copy the file to internal memory of your phone
3) Install it.
4) Open WSM Tools from apps list.
5) Go To Settings - Manage WSM.
6) Press The Install / Update Button
7) After Installation, Reboot
8) Update WSM Tool from Download section.
9) Voila !! Now you have Xposed Framework running on uor phone.
Now go to "Online" Tab inside WSM tool to see a list of modules that are available for you to download. Well, WSM tools have its on list of modules (and thats pretty short). If you want to install modules compatible with Xposed then you have to one more thing:
Diffrence between WSM & Xposed Modules :-
a) Click "Repository" button inside "Online" tab. Put a check on "Xposed". And now you can see all the modules that you can install. Remember those modules that are compatible with MiUi WSM Tools have a little M just below their names. So you can know they are definetly compatible.
b) Xposed modules might not be compatible with MiUi. So you phone might not start after installing them. So be carefull. I'll list some good ones that are compatible though so that you can try them.
c) WSM Modules are compatible with MiUi. So you can try them out. But due to recent changs in MiUi ROM some functions of these modules are not working anyomre. We will look into them in detail.
USEFULL XPOSED & WSM MODULES
This brings us to the last part of the guide. Here I list some very useful modules that works with MiUi. I will keep updating this list frequently as soon as I try more modules.
1) Mi-Tools : This is the first module that you will want to install. It is a WSM module so its relatively safe. What it does ? Well it has loads of options. Some of them are :
a) Modify Power Menu (Advanced Reboot options, Screenshot option in power menu)
b) Modify diffrent parts of your status bar. (Sadly, you cant center your clock with this module now). Add date to statusbar, hide AM/PM etc etc
c) Modify diffrent properties of MiUi default launcher
d) Disable safe volume warning (yeah that annoyed me a lot)
e) Remap hardware capacitive buttons (Menu, Home, Back)
2) Greenify: This module is awesome. It works with Greenify Donation App and lets you put system apps into hibernation mode. That means, less RAM usage, more battery life.
3) XHaloFloatingWindow : Who does not love floating windows. Note 3 users flaunt it. Now you can too. Install this module and you can use all of your apps in windows mode. You can minimise windows, maximise windows, snap windows etc etc. Options are endless.
4) Flat Style Colored Bars : I love it when my status bar changes its color according to opened app. This module helps in achieving it. There is one more module just like this called "Tinted Status Bar" but it does not work with material design apps. But this one works. So now your status bar will have the same color just like the color of action bar of your app. Beautiful !!!
5) App Settings : This one is a must use module. It lets to modify the following properties on per apps basis
a) Rotation (yes now you can auto rotate those apps that dont rotate normally, like wechat, Phone app of Miui, etc)
b) Change DPI of apps. So now you can change DPI of any app to make it look small or large resolution wise
c) Change language of any app to your local language
d) Change font size of apps, keep screen ON while running certain apps etc etc etc
Try it for sure. It works
6) Anuer :- This module is listed under Xposed modules but its actually made for MiUi. It lets you change the position of clock, signal cluster, notifications on your status bar. YES !!! Finally !!! Raise your hands for Center Clock !!!!
I will keep updating this list as and when I find more useful plugins
THATS IT !!!
I hope you find my guide useful. If not, than sorry for wasting your time. I really wanted it to be easy to understand. There might be some spelling mistakes here and there. Report them and I will correct them. Also if you find any mistake in my Guidem then please do let me know. Also help me find some more modules that works with MiUi and I will update them here.
Thanks a lot. And enjoy your brand new Rooted and Xposed Mi3 !!!

I got the same problem with WhatsApp. Tried to install WhatsApp reborn, but it won't let me because what's app came with the phone and can't be removed! You can only disable it. But if disabled it still won't let you install WhatsApp reborn. This sucks!
Hi guys,
Any news with that issue ?
I tried different root uninstaller apps with no success...Damn I rooted my phone for that
would be time for rom development.. in a custome rom you can simply put it out.. so
We should just find where the installation files are. then we can remove it ...
Anyone knows where applications are installed ?

Xposed module Gravitybox not working

It tries to load the framework and then it says Gravitybox has stopped working, it will close now.
The same problem as here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529641
That fix didn't work for me.
Doesn't work on stock ROM
Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk
xposed and gravitybox also work sin stock rom.
use xposed v 82 sdk 32
and before you flash it use selinuxmodechanger.
you also can read it on the xposed thread.
xposed needs permissive selinux mode
and our kernel has enforcing mode. thats why it dont work
I have Xposed already installed.

Hi
Rooted stock rom.
From the official xposed xda page, I installed xposed installer, then flashed framework sdk23 (marshmallow), arm64 v84.
Xposed says 'not compatible with sdk version 23 or your processor architecture (arm64-v8a)'.
Is it the selinuxmodechanger that i haven't installed (yet) or will v84 not work anyway?

You're using the wrong version of xposed installer, you need v3.0-beta4.

Yes, that was it. It will auto-shutdown & auto-flash in TWRP, then restart & it should be done.
However, xposed installer says, in green, that sdk23 arm64 is active, yet, i'm not sure if a couple of modules i've tried are working properly/at all.
Minminguard module (ad blocker) for instance says that xposed is not enabled, & sure enough ads are still popping up in apps & in chrome.
So i'm wondering if certain modules won't work seeing as i'm using the latest installer & sdk/64? ie do the module developers need to keep up?
Can someone shed some light on how it works in that respect?
Should i try the 32bit sdk? (all 32bit sdks will work on a 64bit cpu, won't they?)
Or should i try a different version - 82?
Is there a version that is most reliable for most modules?
Same results in here, I guess we have to change the SELinux mode somehow for it to work according to what I've read somewhere else...

As skeleton1911 wrote "and before you flash it use selinuxmodechanger". That fixed most of my problems, I also use xposed V84, haven't tried V85 though
there is a solution for xposed by skeleton1911

Guys
there is a solution for xposed:
1. with mixplorer go to system/etc/init.d/ 07permissive and open it with editor (just tap on it)
2. remove the sleep 60 line. save and reboot to recovery
3. flash xposed framework , reboot and install xposed app and your modules. enable them in xposed app and reboot (normal xposed procedure)
4. open your apps like gravitybox etc.. ( they will connect to the xposed framework now)
5. open 07permissive again in system/etc/init.d and add sleep 60 into it again
6. save and reboot
Done!
in short words:
the cause is permissive and enforcing. Xposed only run in permissive mode on boot , but permissive mode forces some apps to close , but it is needed for viper v4a so i did this init.d script, system boots in enforcing and after 60 sec it will switch to permissive.
this is a dirty but working method. there is no other way at the moment because elephone didnt released the kernel source to modify it..
1. remove sleep 60 in 07permissive , save and reboot
2.perform the xposed stuff and after reboot open all xposed apps so they can connect to the xposed framework
3. add sleep 60 back into 07permissive and reboot
All works now!
cheers!
p.s: I will make a flashable zip for that soon

That's for his custom rom. For the stock rom you need selinuxmodechanger, set it to permissive and soft reboot via xposed. It will work fine then!

Mmm, OK, maybe is the soft reboot what I missed, because I used selinuxmodechanger and it didn't work with a full reboot. I am using stock but with RodriguezMod, but I think I will try the Eragon ROM. I'll report back. Thanks!
I'm finally trying the Eragon ROM, and following the steps from skeleton1911 finally seem to be working! At least Amplify for the first time is not complaining about not having Xposed. So I wiped, flashed the ROM, updated the SuperSU binary, rebooted, remove the sleep from the init.d script, went to the Xposed installer Material beta, updated from v82 to v85 using the installer, and after that flash, Amplify started to recognize Xposed!

Theming, Magisk, & EdXposed - [UPDATED With TWRP Info, et al]

Here's link to my thread for the S5e, which still applies to the S6.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s5e/themes/reference-samsung-galaxy-tab-s5e-t3957042
[UPDATE] Here's new info in regards to TWRP & EdXposedI was a bit reluctant to install TWRP because ATT it required wiping my tablet. There now a way to install TWRP via Magisk thanks to @Mentalmuso, as noted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80635589&postcount=70
I did not use this method because I was already in a position where I had to reflash original firmware, and redo everything anyway (long story, but just check my sig). I did however use the 7-step method described here, thanks again to @Mentalmuso:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80389831&postcount=2
My real purpose for this update is to share after installing TWRP with above method I was able to upgrade to latest Stable versions available at the time of this posting. (Current versions at end of post)
Magisk 20.3
Magisk Manager 7.5.1
Riru Core 19.7
Riru - EdXposed v0.4.5.1_beta(4463) v0.4.6.1 (4510) (YAHFA)
EdXposed Manager 4.5.4
The only thing I have not updated to latest is EdXposed Manager (currently on v4.5.2), because clicking on 'UPDATE New version of EdXposed Manager is available! Update it!' from within EdXposed results in a github 404 error 'Page not found', which makes me wonder if this version was removed for some reason. IDK, haven't followed up on it.
For the curious, here's my confirmed-working (Ed)Xposed modules:
XprivacyLua
Scoop
AFWall+
Statusbar download progress (uninstalled, doesn't seem to be working now; don't care enough to figure out why)
3C All-in-One Toolbox
Greenify
EDIT: Updated to EdXposed Manager 4.5.4
EDIT: Updated to v0.4.6.1 (4510) (YAHFA)
EDIT: Updated to Magisk 20.4
EDIT: Updated to Riru Core 19.8
Have you managed to get EdExposed running on the Tab S6? I've installed Riru Core & EdExposed Magisk modules, also Exposed Installer APK from here but the apk keeps telling me xposed is NOT installed.

MinMinGuard
Xposed Eedge
AFWall+
Greenify
Bootmanager
3C All-in-One Toolbox Pro
Statusbar download progress
CoolTool

Yeah XprivacyLua was the main reason I wanted EdXposed too, but for some reason it doesn't work.
I'm not sure where I'm going wrong to be honest, it should be simple - Install Riru Core and EdXposed modules, restart, install app. It's a pretty simple procedure but just keeps telling me firmware isn't installed.

Confused...
I've rooted and used xposed on the Galaxy s2, s3 mini, note, note 4 and a Samsung tab (I forget what model) but this edXposed is a little different,
I can't seem to find any explanations or guides with instructions for what modules etc I need to install and how to enable them, an example - use adaway (the module not apk app) or a button remapper.
Could someone point me in the right direction please, I have tried looking but can't find it, thanks guys.

Adaway requires magiskSU, not edxposed. Also many button remappers only require magiskSU.
If you have Edxposed, you can use Xposed Edge, I believe allows some button mapping, but there are only power, vol+ and vol-. Xposed Edge enables gestures and to me it is more powerful than GMD gestures or any of the gestures that use an accessibility service. You can also just use Goodlock and Onehand+ from Samsung store and it will give you a very good gestures system that doesn't require Edxposed or magiskSU or an accessibility service to use.
There are also adblockers that do not require root now. Adaway v5 was just released in a alpha or beta stage and it has the option to work without root. It isn't as extensive as Adgaurd, but it is free to use all of the protections it has.
What is it you actually want to do? You gave examples but not what you want for yourself. In Edxposed every module you install is an apk so they are apps just the same as adaway. Magisk has actual modules that are not apps.

I have root, i want to try out different modules with edxposed with little to no risk of bricking my device.
Some examples of what I'd like to try if the modules exist -
Better gps (was an old module bavk on the galaxy s2 (phone) or note 1,
Automatic call recorder build in not an app from the playstore,
Luckypatcher,
Playstore fix to allow changing what device the playstore believes im using.
Im completely new to Magisk and a little (negligible) experienced with xposed edxposed predecessor.
Also methods to hide root and removing the warning screen when booting plus safetynet (which i dont understand) interest me but I'm a little scared to play or alter anything core system related as im too in love with my tablet lol

Sorry, what id really love is to be able to run linux on my tab6 and then use flash tools to flash roms etc on other devices. Use my tab as a laptop or PC.
It would be a dream come true.
I have the UK SM-T860 8gb Ram 256gb storage version still on Android 9 if that info is relevant or useful for any reason lol

Because of the way magisk works, if anything goes wrong you just turn off magisk. Flash an unlatched boot.img and reboot. Or you might be able to flash the magisk uninstaller. Reflashing unlatched boot image is guaranteed to fix. And the devices you had before appear to be pretty old. I had an S2 and many of the things needed to make it better are not needed on new devices. GPS for example should most likely not need the module to help it. You will trip safety net if have Edxposed installed. There was a workaround but Google appears to have patched it. And the developer of Magisk said that the future of hiding it is a long way away if ever. You might be able to get past safety net temporarily. The only thing that won't work if tripped is Google pay, and likely Samsung pay. As far as I know there is no way to remove the warning about an unlocked bootloader.
Flash the version of Magisk suggested, likely to be the latest canary build of Magisk.Magisk works systemlessy. So try any magisk module or Edxposed module you want. Just know how return to a stock boot image or check and see if the magisk uninstaller works.(IDK if does or not on this device).
Another option if you have TWRP installed. Enable the magisk mm recovery manager module, then when in TWRP if you have it, you flash it again in recovery and go to terminal type "mm" and disable the module that is causing the problem and reboot.

I still dont know what modules i should install in magisk, rui core and the other options. I havent used edxposed yet bexause i still have questions i I don't know answers to or a good enough idea of what a mistake may result in.
Sandhook, Yahfa... i dont understand these properly and which to use, sorry for these noob questions. If you arent fed up replying to me yet would you mind trying to help me understand the modules and the relationship magisk and edxposed have, its the do's and don'ts that I'm worried about. Thanks again pal, i really appreciate your help

You should try one and if it doesn't work, try the other. I have them both downloaded. If you use Snapchat, use one of the Snapchat versions otherwise Snapchat won't let you login and if you do manage to login, they will ban you. It does not give you any special abilities with Snapchat except to hide Edxposed from it.
First https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposedManager/releases
Download latest Edxposed manager from here. then download the Edxposed zip within the application. And flash in magisk. Try the sandhook version or yahfa. There is no difference except that some devices apparently want one version and other devices want the other. Choose newest build or the snapchat of both of them. Ifnone doesn't work flash the other.
