[Q] Password assistace/work around help SCH-I605 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I changed the lock screen password on my device after entering a new one when encrypting the SD card. Sadly, I forgot where I put the note with the new password and I have locked myself out of the phone.
I have tried everything I know to get to some type of back door, but without any success. And there doesn't seem to be any info out there on how to get past the lock screen without doing a factory reset. Does anyone know of a way or a tool I can find which can get me past the lock screen? I currently have the a rooted SCH-i605 running 4.3, which I removed all the bloatware and rogue apps from, and I would hate to have to start all over again. But unfortunately, the only thing I can think of to so is to wipe it clean and start from scratch..
If anyone has been through this and knows a tool or a work around to my issue, please let me know ASAP!
Thanks

I think factory reset is your only option if you can't remember the password. If there was a work around, encrypting the phone would be a worthless feature.
Sorry mate,

[Q] Flashing An Android Device w/o Inside Acess

I am helping my neighbor who just received a Droid Incredible 2 (The gsm and cdma version) From verizon from his mother who found it (This has nothing to do with me!)
The thing is that the phone is locked with the drawing access code thing and well we dont know what the pattern is odviously.
And i read previously on Gizmodo on an article about if you forget you password on your smartphone and on Android it said that you can Bypass the password screen.
BUT we must download the app for that and we have no System acess
So i told him that if we root it and install a CFW (Cyanogenmod) that the phone would be wiped out and that it'll run awesomely.
But we must enable USB Debugging mode in the device....
So what the question is that is there a way to externally Nuke (Im a blackberry user x-x and android fanboy) The device just like BBSAK can do and reinstall the OS?
Thanks you all,

I'm a noob so I can't post links. Search for "android lock screen glitch" several sites talk about calling the phone to reset the password.
If all else fails there is always the Hard Factory reset. It will erase all data on the phone, but you at least can use it.
good luck.

Factory reset will work.

How can i reset the lock screen pin i forgot what i put?

I changed the lock screen code on my phone and need help to recover or reset it any help would be appreciated its the samsung galaxy 3 sph-l710 thanks in advance!
I think after several failed attempts it will prompt you to input your Gmail account. Let me test for you and see if it does.
Edit: And that was a resounding failure on my part. I'm not sure what you can do besides maybe doing a factory reset through Odin? This is my first Samsung phone so I'm not familiar with Odin yet.

I don't think a pin code security will ask for gmail after a few failures like the pattern security will, if you have a nandroid, then maybe restore. I don't think security settings will stick across nandroids yet.

thanks you your input. i've tried over 50 x's lol and it has yet to prompt me for my e-mail. and the phone is still new to me and i have not rooted yet. so no nandroid for me. im on the phone with sprint as i type this. I will report back my results for others to learn from my mistake
Can't you still access your recovery to perform a factory reset? Turn the phone off, then hold vol up, home, and power until the Samsung screen flickers, and when your stock recovery opens there should be an option for factory reset. If not just choose reboot to system. You'll have to set everything back up but at least you'll be able to access your phone again.

[Q] Pattern unlock options

I am wondering if all Note 2s allow for using gmail account to unlock phone when you are unable to remember pattern lock. I, Myself, do not have a problem, however, I have seen people mention they can unlock the phone if too many unsuccessful attempts are made at trying to unlock the phone. I do have a gmail account which is linked to the phone. I have tried 100 times to get it to give me the option to use the gmail account without any avail. I am a ATT user, was wondering if this might have something to do with it. The phone is not rooted. Any ideas? Also, it doesn't give me a countdown timer saying try again.
Thanks
You say that you don't have a problem, but then say you do. Regardless, looks like you'll have to do a factory reset.

What I am saying is I am not locked out of the phone. I was just testing out that feature, but it never appears.

Rooted Verizon Droid Razr PIN Screen Problem Help PLEASE!

Rooted and running 4.2 if my memory serves me well.
I broke the screen on this one and it had been out of commission for a while before being repaired.
Did not set same screen unlock PIN on my interim replacement phone, forgot the RAZR's PIN by the time I repaired it.
Need to unlock it and I do not believe USB Debugging was or is turned on.
I did activate it hoping the "forgot your password" gmail prompt would appear. No dice.
I need information off this one and unlocking it via the clean wipe methods is not an option.
Can anyone help? I'm near Nashville and would gladly pay for assistance.
Should the RAZR give the "forgot password" prompt, if activated, and after X number of failed attempts to enter the PIN screen lock? If so, how many attempts should make that happen?
If not, and mine didn't after many failed attempts, is there any other boot method or means to turn this device on that will allow me to go into it and wipe out or change the PIN screen lock?
If so, should Minimal ADB and fast boot work?
Am I the only one that finds these "confirm I'm not a robot" "recaptcha" images nearly impossible? I'm looking at them on a 23" HD screen too. The audio for them, seriously???
Is there any way to get those removed? Countless attempts failed and just to make one post took over ten minutes once it was composed. These are extraordinarily difficult. Please?

Will the RAZR not give the "forgot password" option, if activated, that allows you to bypass the PIN screen and unlock it via gmail?
Wiping it isn't an option, I need the information on it much more than I need the old phone.
Is there any other way?
What is up with these recaptcha images? Did I somehow mess up creating an account by not using G+ or something? Those things are brutal.

Question Allow from unknown sources is greyed out.

I know this thread has been posted a lot but there is no device admin stopping it, I am unable to turn it on in the dev settings. It also wont let me temporarily allow it when trying to install say fortnite from epic launcher. Any help would be great. Do I need to unlock the bootloader & root to fix this or?
I just learned last night actually how to fix this! All you need to do is just factory reset your phone and then I was finally able to flip that switch! Aha

Factory reset rarely makes a difference, the problem usually seems to be the internet connection.

Yeah just wanted to add as well for anyone who may stumble upon this thread that no factory reset was necessary in my experience. It was a matter of having the phone active and connected for several days with the occasional reboot before checking to see if the option had become available.
Umm... I would like to interject that in my experience so far, a factory reset is the only thing that will fix this issue. I unlock people's phones for them from Google frp lock and have seen this happen three or four times. I'm not sure exactly but I think that after bypassing an frp lock there is still some sort of restriction in place until there is a secondary factory format performed with the device in an frp unlocked state. The only thing I know of that being connected with service is the resolution to, is to enable oem options because some devices require owning the device for a specific period of time before the option isn't greyed out. in which case you just gotta mess with the date and time settings and at some point disable and re enable the data. There are posts about that .. it's a little off topic here though... but yeah if there is an alternative I would love to know about it. Otherwise the only fix I have found is to factory format without a previous frp lock.
Totally agree with the post above, I had struggled with a Moto G30 after a FRP and another factory reset this time with a new google account worked.
I can also confirm that a factory reset fixes this. After recovering from FRP, I had the grayed out Allow unknown apps. I didn't want to factory reset again, but I didn't do it after getting past FRP. I ended up doing a factory reset from inside the recovery, and now it works the way it is supposed to.
