The problem seemed to be the recovery, i didnt have an alternative recovery in the sd card nor any card reader but i needed my phone asap so i tried restoring a nandroid backup which seemed to workout for the stock firmware. Once i was restored i quickly downloaced another recovery (TWRP) and flashed it with mobile odin. I tried flashing custom roms again and it all seems to work fine now. hope it helps

[Q] Phone totally screwed?

Hey all.
I was on MIUI 1.9.2 and flashed VillainRom (wiped everything as usual) and after the reboot, I couldn't get any signal. Went to the mobile network screen and I get an error saying I don't have a sim card in my phone.
My baseband and IMEI all read unknown.
Tried restoring a nandroid with no luck.
Are there any fixes or do I need to send it off to be fixed?

Another problem with Custom Rom!
Anyway, do a Factory Reset, if it doesn't work then flash Stock ROM.

This might be a long shot but try toggling airplane mode on, reboot the phone and once fully booted toggle airplane mode off.
This issue has nothing to do with the Rom you flashed, (not VillainRom anyway) it seems in all your flashing you may have messed up your EFS partition, some people got it back when they flashed a stock ROM, if you don't, you may need to get in contact with Odia, he can assist you with getting your IMEI back

[Q] Atrix will only boot if Honeyatrix is installed

(SOLVED) hello neighbors. I am having an issue... my atrix will only boot if i install honey atrix on it. i have tried many other roms. many different times. i have wiped all data cache partitions, dalvik, battery stats, formatted system, dat, cache. And still i can get nothing to boot besides Honeyatrix rom.
it seems to load them from the zip file ok just wont boot past the unlock dual core screen. i have let it set for 10-20 min to see if it will boot and nothing.
i had recieved this under warranty and it was shipped with the new 2.3.6. 4.5.91 and i rooted and unlocked using the unlock tool v.4.
any help with this would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance,
SErooted
Try a full wipe with fastboot before flashing. Also may need to flash appropriate kernel. What ROM's have you tried?

ive tried cherry pie, algorythm, cm7, neutrino, miui many of them, and i have never had this problem with my other atrix. just this one doesnt seem to be want todo anything but this one rom. and i have done a full wipe in moto fastboot as well. i forgot to mention it earlier.

Which recovery are you using?
Maybe install it again or try another one, perhaps its not installing properly

i have used cwm and tefnars recovery. i have installed each rom several times and still no change. it will only boot into honey atrix rom. i am really wanting to put miui back on and i have checked the latest by stevend25 ( sorry if spelled wrong) and i can go through the set up process but upon reboot, it wont boot past the startup screen.:-(
Damn replacement device!!!
Seriously people>>>> not one of you has insight on what the problem may be? i am not new to this phone or modding it and this is the first time ive ever had a problem and the community cant help?

Since it was almost 2 weeks between the last post trying to help you and your posts yesterday it's pretty safe to say everyone thought you had solved your problem and moved on. After this latest post, it's probably also safe to say you won't receive any more help.

your recovery is the problem install rom manager from market and update cwm or try romracer recovery.
Could also be the baseband radio. If that doesn't fix, looks like its time for the dreaded sbf.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
I would also use the latest romracer recovery or twrp from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400641. Also be sure to use appropriate kernel for the rom you are flashing and try the stock clocked kernels first. Good luck.

hmmmm I wondering on this one if his internal might be mal-partitioned.. I had this problem and was cured using mini tool partition wizard. Start off by making sure all's formatted fat 32 primary. Once you're assured of that, format again, fastboot - w and reinstall something like neutrino. Twice for good measure. Boot it , wait 60 seconds, pull battery and reboot. Lemme know bro if that helped..

How to make atrix's internal partition (system, osh, etc) to be detected by mini tool?

i had wondered if this was the problem but i have tried cwm from market and tefnars recovery and had the same issue with both.
Thank you for your ionsight into this. it really has been bothering me.
ok everyone.... thank you all for your help in getting the matter resolved. it was an issue with recovery and i am now running with twrp instead of cwm or tefnar. miui is now running and am going to see what kinda fun i can have with it. Thanks again everyone!!!

[Q] Please help me... bootloop problem... it is extremely urgent

I was using my tab with aokp, and suddenly it rebooted. I thought to myself that that was wierd, and then, before loading the lockscreen, the tablet rebooted again. I knew I was in a bootloop, and luckily I had CWM access. I wiped cache then rebooted. I waited for one minute, lost my patience, rebooted in racovery, attempted to wipe data to reflash aokp, but CWM did not do that. I panicked a little bit. I attempted to wipe davlik cahe, it did not allow me. I reflashed aokp that way, and now I'm stuck on the boot animation. I don't know if restocking would help. Please help me. I am desperate I do not know what to do
Please help, I really need help right now not tomorrow
Flash back to stock with Odin if possible. Thats what I did on a friends tab that had this behavior. Good luck!

[Q] Flashed wrong rom, can't wipe anymore or boot into a backup

Hey there,
Today I received an MHL-adapter for my Galaxy S3 and wanted to try it out. Since it didn't work in combination with Slim Bean I decided to flash another rom (more on the sammy side of things). Coming across a thread with a guy pointing out a so called Chameleon crossover rom, I decided to give it a go, downloaded and flashed it. I shat bricks as I saw that, in my euphoria to try the adapter, I flashed a rom that was meant to be for the Galaxy S2!
So I restarted into recovery and tried to perform a full wipe, which didn't work, because it wasn't able to load the partitions (data etc.) then I tried to flash on a recent backup of Slim Bean, which was only partly succsessfull, meaning, that it flashed but couldn't wipe because of the reason mentioned above.
Booting into system doesn't work either, I just get a bootloop.
Right now im not quite sure, which step to take. Shall i flash on a clean stock-image via Odin or maybe try out something like One-Click UnBrick?
All your help and suggestions are highly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the quick response, I'm going to check whether it works and report back after it's done! :good:
G'Luck
Problem solved, thanks rootSU!
So, if someone is following this thread, I just want to share with you guys what I did and how it turned out:
I flashed the original firmware, according to region etc. via Odin, the procedure was succsessfull and I rebooted.
At first I had a bootloop, so I went into the stock recovery and hit "wipe /data and /cache", which was succsessfull as well, meaning that the previous problem with not being able to mount the partitions was resolved. So I went ahead and rebooted again aaand it booted!
Everything is working fine as far as i can tell, no misfunctions, hot reboots or anything similar.
Thanks very much for the quick response rootSU, which prevented me from hyperventilating .
I've rooted, unlocked bootloader and flashed stuff on my former phones (Htc Wildfire, Galaxy S) and I've never done anything like that before and nothing like that ever happened to me. So to anyone reading this, I highly encourage you not to be as dumb as me and to doublecheck what rom you're flashing and not to flash while being overly exicted about anything .
Does your adapter now work?

Cyanogenmod 10 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Dear members of XDA I kindly ask for your help after hours of searching for a valid solution.
After running on my Tab 10.1 for 3 years it got slower and slower, and I decided to install Cyanogenmod today. The tab is successfully rooted. I got the cm-10.1-20130811-NIGHTLY-p4wifi and gapps-jb-20130301-signed and uploaded them to the internal SD storage. I tried to make a backup from ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.3.1 but it failed. I did a data&factory reset and installed CM and gapps.
The Samsung logo passes normally but the blue Cyanogen one lasts infinitely. Does anyone have a solution, or could anyone point me the mistake I probably omitted in the process? I should also add that I cannot enter the SD card from WIndows. If I missed a valid point, please point it out. Any help will be appreciated.
After 3 years of using it I do not want to throw it away yet, please help,
Thanks in advance,
Vecanoi

Download the latest cwm recovery from http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/ and flash it. Your problem is that your current recovery can't handle the file system changes in 4.2.2.

Thanks for the insight. I have updated the Recovery to v6.0.3.4. Wiped Delvik, Factory Data Reset and Cache Partition, then installed the zips again. Still nothing. Could the problem be in gapps or in cm-10.1? Is there a way to put newer zips somehow on the device, or am I stuck with the ones I uploaded before the first reset?
Thanks in advance,
Vecanoi

Then try flashing back to stock ICS first then flash cwm, then cm10.1 and gapps. There is nothing wrong with the way you put into your tab. If its there, its there.

Sorry, can you tell me where to find Stock ICS in the Recovery Mod, if it is there? My backup failed as I said.

www.sammobile.com. You extract it, then flash the .tar.md5 file via Odin in download mode just like the recovery.
