Hi, I have a BLU Advance 4.5 4G phone and I need to be able to use it for testing the apps I develop. I have enabled developer mode and enabled USB debugging, and I have verified that a driver is installed for the device, but adb doesn't recognize the device.
Thanks!
Have you updated the drivers to the Google USB drivers? Normally, adb wouldn't work with drivers installed from device.
Guides on how to are easily found, just search.

I am having a problem with my MAXX where if i type in adb devices, i get no devices connected. Because of this, i cannot root this phone
(Yes, i have the drivers installed)
Can anyone help?
Stupid question but have you adb debugging enabled on the device?
did you restart the computer after installing drivers? i had the same problem and a restart fixed it for me
Is the usb debugging enabled?
If you are on win, is the driver properly installed?
Its better to have your phone in "charge only" mode while connected to the pc....
Hi everybody!
I've been trying to root and upgrade my Tablet S, now that it's possible in release5a. But whenever I plug the tablet to my Windows 7 PC, even debugging mode is enabled, I can't see the Android ADB interface in the device manager.
I just see the tablet listed under "Portable Devices".
I did a factory reset, but nothing.
Do you know if I'm missing any steps? It's not about drivers at this time, as there's no device detected. I tried this on two computers with the same results...
Thanks a lot!!!

Did you install the ADB drivers? If no, then install them. If yes, then reinstall them. Also, you may have to install them manually. Also make sure you have the tablet's USB debugging set to ON.
Go to BluechipJ's Automated ADB Driver Installer for Sony Tablet S and P for drivers and additional information.

Hi, I ended up solving it by praying to the windows god.
Turns out the tablet was working correctly as an MTP device, but I was able to modify the hardware item so it would be seen as a Composite MTP device. Then the ADB interfase appeared and then I was able to install drivers to it.
Anyways, thanks for the time
I cannot seem to get Windows to see the device when in USB Debugging.
I've installed drivers from http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-VS985-Metallic-Black (v2.18.0). Uninstalled and reinstalled. Switched back and forth from PTP to MTP and back again.
Restarted ADB a few times but device manager is still showing drivers not installed when I switch to USB Debugging. As soon as I turn this off it will connect, but of course I cannot see my device in ADB.
I really need to update TWRP as I'm currently on 2.8.0.
I'm an idiot.
Solved with ADB drivers...Sorry...
I had adb working on my computer on the kitkat official rom, and now I updated to the rooted lollipop (Jasime 5.0 base). Root works, I have usb debugging enabled, and have tried following USB modes: Charge, PTP, and MTP (only ones that are available).
I can't get ADB to detect the device anymore.
edit:
I can get it working in TWRP, and I can get it working in PTP, but not MTP (weird). The ADB Composite interface does not appear connected when in MTP mode even though Android says USB Debugging is enabled.
You're supposed to use PTP in order to use adb. Glad you solved it.
I am trying to root my old phone Samsung Galaxy core prime G360h so that I can gain some confidence to change the stock rom of my main device. When the phone is on, adb works perfectly and recognise the device. I can even reboot device when the phone is unlocked. But once I go into Fastboot/Recovery mode then ADB fails to find the device and no commands work(.To the best of my knowledge, I have all the necessary drivers. I have tried multiple USB slots, multiple computers (Windows 7 sp1 and Windows 10 latest update), and have searched all around the internet and various forums on XDA for an answer. I've tried manually updating the USB drivers through device manager, installed universal usb driver, but that did nothing. What I don't understand is that how ADB works when the device is on but don't work when it's in Recovery/Fastboot mode. I would have post images to clear things but the site is not letti g me to post imaves
tldr: adb recognize phone when it's on but Adb don't work in fastboot/recovery mode
Thanks in advance for any help, I've tried everything I can think of.
On MediaTek devices you need Preloader VCom Driver so your PC would detect your phone on fastboot but on Qualcomm ( which is your phone chipset ) i don't know what driver is required ...
