[Q] Do I need a different Lollipop ADB driver? (stock rom) - Verizon LG G3

I had adb working on my computer on the kitkat official rom, and now I updated to the rooted lollipop (Jasime 5.0 base). Root works, I have usb debugging enabled, and have tried following USB modes: Charge, PTP, and MTP (only ones that are available).
I can't get ADB to detect the device anymore.
edit:
I can get it working in TWRP, and I can get it working in PTP, but not MTP (weird). The ADB Composite interface does not appear connected when in MTP mode even though Android says USB Debugging is enabled.

You're supposed to use PTP in order to use adb. Glad you solved it.

Why cant I access adb shell when booting to CWM recovery? Unknown USB Device

Hello, I have an SGS2, running stock ICS ROM LP7 with matching CF-Root kernel.
How I can get into an adb shell when booting to CWM recovery?
I tried doing this and I get an "Unknown USB Device" when plugging in the phone to USB port.
I'm running Windows 7 SP1 x64 with latest Samsung drivers. I tried in a x86 Win7 machine with same result.
I have USB Debugging enabled, adb shell works fine when booting normally.
Phone USB settings are as default, MTP mode. I'm reading about changing it back to MSC mode, would that make any difference?
Is it a kernel / CWM issue?
Notice the Unknown USB device only shows up in recovery mode, not in normal mode (so IMO its definitely not a physical USB link problem neither a driver problem).
Any ideas?

[Q] MTP doesn't work with some phones?

I have two S3 (GT-I9300RWDVD2).
The first one connects without any problem to my PC and shows in Windows explorer.
The second one connects but in device Manager a message shows "... no drivers loaded ..."
adb works well on both phones.
On the first working one is Omega Rom 6.0 installed,
The not working one has original Firmware I9300BUALF1 installed?
Maybe this is hardware related?
I already made a full wipe on the not working one.
Any ideas?
additional information: changing from MTP to PTP or disabling/enabling debug mode has no effect. adb works, mtp and ptp don't
After a hard reset (*2767*3855#) mtp works.

[Help!] Cannot get ADB to recognize device

Hi, I have a BLU Advance 4.5 4G phone and I need to be able to use it for testing the apps I develop. I have enabled developer mode and enabled USB debugging, and I have verified that a driver is installed for the device, but adb doesn't recognize the device.
Thanks!
Have you updated the drivers to the Google USB drivers? Normally, adb wouldn't work with drivers installed from device.
Guides on how to are easily found, just search.

USB Debugging with New Update (KVT49L.VS98511C) [RESOLVED]

Prior to the latest OTA I was able to get USB Debugging working by changing the phone to a Connection Sharing mode and then to Ethernet specifically. Since taking the new update I have not been able to get adb to recognize the device. They removed the previous USB mode used and we only have Media and Camera modes now (both of which I tried). The phone itself is indicating that USB debugging is enabled and actively working, but I can't get it to show in adb itself. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Steps tried:
Toggling developer mode off and on
Updating USB driver to the latest from the SDK manager
Media Sync Mode
Camera Mode
Restarting ADB multiple times
I had to install the latest drivers from the LG site itself, and change the usb port on my PC....then toggling Media Sync (MTP) and Camera (PTP), it finally gained adb access. Although, even with adb I still cannot root via ioroot.

Thanks, that did the trick!
The part about changing the USB port on your PC, is unclear to me. Did you have to change from a USB3 port to a USB2 port ? Or did you mean that the USB2 port you had previously been using successfully would no longer work ?
I am worried about USB2 ports being required, since many new laptops now only include USB3 ports.
Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
Went from a previously working usb3 to a previously working usb2 and neither worked.....plugged it into another usb2 on the back of my case and surprisingly it worked. Perhaps remove the device/drivers from the old usb ports you had been using then re-install the new drivers again.....maybe that will work.

Do you have a link for the driver? Tried so many and no love.
Is this it? http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00520120427
EDIT: Above link worked, thanks!

[Q] Device Not Found - On Custom ROM

I cannot seem to get Windows to see the device when in USB Debugging.
I've installed drivers from http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-VS985-Metallic-Black (v2.18.0). Uninstalled and reinstalled. Switched back and forth from PTP to MTP and back again.
Restarted ADB a few times but device manager is still showing drivers not installed when I switch to USB Debugging. As soon as I turn this off it will connect, but of course I cannot see my device in ADB.
I really need to update TWRP as I'm currently on 2.8.0.
I'm an idiot.
Solved with ADB drivers...Sorry...
