Recently I had the chance to see a unrooted att note scroll through its home pages with like no lag.....
My note is from att and rooted with mashis method when I scroll through my home pages I notice a little lag not much but its there, on a side note that's the only lag I notice.
My question is can rooting cause the lag I'm seeing. If it can I will definitely go back to unrooted via da g's method.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Simple rooting your Note will not cause home screen lagging.
Actually, since you've rooted it you might consider freezing (ala Titanium backup) some of the AT&T apps and I bet you'll see improvement.
My stock Note does lag slightly moving between TWLauncher screens...in fact I can't even run alternate launchers such as GoLauncher because everyone I've tried eventually started lagging. I believe some AT&T background processes are obviously the culprit.
Exactly. Get rid of some bloatware and you will see the lag disappear, also check out the newest root which fixed my lag.
Which one is the newest root and can I run a root on top of another root

Oh sorry now I know what your PM meant. Check out the thread in the Q and A by the guy looking for the Bell stock ROM, he lists the name of the root he used to get rid of lag and then just google it.
So its ok to run another root on my phone or do I have to go back to stock first.

While I'm not new to ROM flashing (I've done it with my previous devices), I'm new to flashing Samsung phones and the Note specifically.
I'm looking forward to trying out the early build of CM9, but I still want to retain the S-Note app. Is there a repository of the stock APKs somewhere? Or maybe I can copy it over? And if so, would it run on ICS?
Thanks in advance.
Im running OnlyOne ICS ROM and my S Memo works fine. Not sure about the .apk file tho. Sorry.

I've actually tried to do the same thing. I got Supernote to work and MyDiary but SNote refuses to install. I do not remember if SMemo installed but all of the Spen functionality (screenshot, back, home, menu) kind of goes out the window with the CM9 rom due to framework qualifications.
However, there are a bunch of other apps on the market that you can look into that work pretty well (I enjoy NoteMaster).
Hope this helped.
Edit: I am running The Hybrid RC 6.2 and it is runs all of the S-apps amazingly so I think if keeping note specific apps is vital than you should try to go with that Rom.
I recently rooted my note 2 with the root injection process. found the thread on how to get all apps in multiview. Followed the steps correctly, (which I must say was brilliant!!!) reset my phone, and opened multiview. Every app was there, as they should have been. However, when I drag the app over to the screen, they go into full screen. even if I drag one of the original multiview apps 1st, then another, the 2nd app will shade half of the screen like it is going to be half screen but then it blows up to full screen. Can anyone help with this. I really love this feature and would like to get everything to be able to be multiview. Any ideas of where I am going wrong???
Unlock and install a custom rom. Problem solved buddy

Was running stock bootloader and rooted stock via Exynos vulnerability for the longest time because it was stable. Finally decided to unlock bootloader and upgrade to rooted stock MC3, wiped, cleared cache and even factory defaulted. Now the browser pauses then closes more frequently than before. I'm talking about several times a day versus once in a blue moon before. Anyone else experience the same? I suspect it's 4.1.2 since my Note 10.1 is behaving the same after recent update.
Not sure if your on the right track cause I have not experienced this on either of my devices, vzw n2 and note 10.1 wifi only. Both are rooted and running custom roms.
I've never had mine close on me, but that's not too say it don't happen to others.

I'm with bigtoysrock on this one I haven't experienced this at all. If you have the time why not downgrade in Odin to 4.1.1/return to stock and use casual after that? Just a suggestion that's what I used and I haven't had a single problem

I noticed it too. I am on Beans 17 (MC3) with Perseus kernel, and the stock browser crashes at least once a day. But I tap the browser icon and it renders the last page almost immediately, probably because the browser is pulling cached elements that were downloaded right before the crash.
It is a minor annoyance, and imo not worth switching to Chrome because Chrome still lags when scrolling pages

Hi everyone.
I'm at the point of losing my mind with this bloody app helium..
When I first used the app for my nexus 7 too galaxy nexus it was fantastic and did everything I expected it to do,
so much so I bought it for like £2.
I currently have 3 devices now, Nexus 7 tablet, Galaxy nexus phone and P880 LG...
im gonna be selling the Gnexus and moving onto the p880.
The problem now is that two bugger apps hillclimbracing and fail hard wont seem to restore from either
dropbox, google drive or by finding it from the wifi list and copying it across the network.
The app says "back up complete" however they wont restore to the other device, it just fails (I have also checked and made sure that the apps are not running in the background before I try to overwrite them)
the p880 and Gn are both rooted and running MIUI and the Nexus7 is rooted and using stock rom 4.4.2
all permissions are set to allow...
can anyone recommend another app that might just do the job without the head ache?
one thing I don't get with helium is when you go to restore and app and its not installed
its wanting to connect to play to download it first, then over write it?
I was also wondering if games like this have copy protection on them but I don't see why
when they are free?
