Madly in love with this phone, but took it out to italy last week and took some shots on it and constantly a pop up telling me the camera was being stopped due to extreme temperatures
The phone was warm, but not very hot and I had only used it for one or two shots when it did this, repeatedly
Anyone had this issue?
I had this with my original Z2, i got a replacement and havnt had a overheat not once
Early batch devices have this issue the most

I have a problem with the camera on my prime and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Whenever I go to the camera and use the back facing camera it just shows a green and red fuzzy screen, ffc works fine. Have wiped and reflashed and even changed ROMs, but no help, I am on androwook hb1.4 right now, was on the red virus ww .15 when it started. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

It is maybe a hardware issue. Please search in this forum or Q&A forum for this issue. It has been reported a few times.

OK I'll try and take it to best buy first, that's where I purchased it. Correct me if im wrong but the prime was recalled right? I've read other posts of people being upgraded and so forth, was wondering what they do about unlocked primes?

The same thing happened to my Prime soon after I got mine back in January. There is a quick, but temporary fix to the problem -- you have to squeeze area right below camera lens. You have to press quite hard, so be sure you don't accidentally crack your screen or something. However, like, I said, this is just a temporary fix it WILL come back. I brought mine to a repair center and all they did was take out the camera and re-seat it. That worked for a while, but all it came back again. Then I brought it back, and they replaced the camera entirely, and I've never had a problem since.
Greening Syndrome
Seems the green screen with lines on using rear camera disease is spreading,,,my TF201 has just started misbehaving BUT...it had just returned from a 3 week repair job (under warranty fortunately) to get the screen fixed. The original problem was a wall of alternating black and white and then colour lines when turning on the device,,,which did not disappear. Really very disappointing as I have only had the tablet for 6 months and have not dropped it at all...my first tablet but I'm not impressed with Asus products though to be fair the process for getting it repaired was efficient and prompt even though the actual repair time was long.
Experiencing the same issue myself, only had the tab about a week, and it's still under warranty. RMA since 6/12/12. I'm not really expecting to see it back this side of Christmas.
Couple of questions... I tried to take a small video and then a picture and my camera shut down immediately. Has anyone seen this behavior? The software said that the phone was too hot, but I didn't feel it overheating.
Next, battery life is much worse then the HTC m8 I am coming from.
Finally, I needed to get att LTE in the sun card and had a tough time getting that put on by the rep at the store. How do you guys get around the "Xperia phones don't get LTE crap?"

xperia devices vary
For some reason
Meaning that you have a posiblity of getting a faulty device .i recomend getting a replacement or wait to see if this is common xperia issue
LTE depends on your country , or sim provider
Battery drain may be caused by an installed app or a broken system process
I recomend getting a replacement Z2 becuause this is nowhere near normal behaivor
I've actually been able to solve all of my problems by doing a repair via PC Connection. Much of it had to be because of a rogue app.

Do you know any thing more than what this link says or what
i found recently it depends on the country its made in
i was just wondering if this is true
i also saw some issues else about CPU scaling issues aka but i don't remember what i read
good news:
most issues given can be fixed by "fixing your device" using Sony PC companion
Hi!
Sometimes vibrate in my Xperia Z2 doesn't work... :crying: What is going on?
Ive have the issue too and it seems to be a hardware issue
The issue persists across firmwares
Im replacing my device in hopes i dont face the same issue, i recomend you do the same if posible

I was having this issue as well but it seems to have stopped randomly after a little. What I did was touch a magnet to the bottom on back and hopefully set it back in place. Hasn't stopped in over 24 hours. Another thing I'd recommend is if you're bootloader unlocked and you're turning you're voltage down to stop cause that could be the cause of it since the motor isn't getting enough voltage

Well I spoke too soon... Just stopped vibrating till I hit it. Sigh :/

So I'm bringing the phone into square trade... They're gonna look at it and see if they can fix it... I hope they notice it since it's not all the time... If they can't fix it they're gonna reimburse me for it.

My partner has had her z2 for a couple weeks. And she has always had iPhones and me mainly androids. But she has found it hard to use at times. For some reason 3 or 4 times a day over past week it has crashed and not responded. And also turns it's self off. And while in walkman app could not select songs only way I managed to get it to work was uninstall all updates then the songs were clickable. Then upgraded again and it still worked. Any one else had similar problems? Thanks

You shouldn't be having these issues. In my experience the phone is very stable.
The only time it resets on me is when I pull the SIM card. I'm not sure why it does that because it's not necessary.... But anyway
Try doing a factory reset and all that. If there are still issues call Sony support and get the device replaced, or just do a 30 return/exchange.

Yes i had these exact issues with a defective unit, it seems that replacing the device fixed it alltogether
Take note reflashing my firmware didnt fix my problem, if it doesnt fix yours then get a replacement

Hello guys I moved on from oneplus one, thinking to buy a premium phone but the self cracking issue has put me into a fix.So what do you guys suggest, reasons for the issue, is it still prevalent.
I do gaming sometimes for 1/2 an hour.Should I go for g3 32gb?But I found that scrolling in app drawer is not so smooth

Self cracking issue i have no idea whats up because i had 3 Z2s which went through relatively extreme conditions for a standard device aka heating and cooling and none of the 3 "self cracked"
Z2 may only be 16GB but alows for a Expandable micro sd upto 128GB so storage
Slow app drawer is to be fixed in an upcoming 4.4.4 firmware update from sony
what about g3.Any suggestions?

perhaps you would want to ask that over G3 forums. Gather some G3 issues and fixes and then decide yourself to what premium phone to buy. Choose wisely.
G3 has so many issues, some people are saying they sold their G3s and went back to the G2, check their forums and you'll see

I dont know whats up, but some "self cracked" pictures show impact areas from where the device hit when dropped so self crack is exageration and or lies most of the time
So thats whats up with that
C'mon man, you ask if you should buy a Z2 or a G3 in a Z2 forum? What do you expect? People ar going to say Z2. Ask the same question in G3 forum, they are going to say G3. And so on.
