You can still get into the bootloader menu but not recovery? Are you able to use fastboot commands? If so reflash recovery through fastboot and see if you can get into it. If so try to reflash the rom.

Did you wipe before you flashed?
Also did you fasboot boot recovery.img then wiped and flashed the rom..
Some folks had issues with that rom... Since it's a alpha thing...

No. I just used the trwp recovery to flash. And I forgot to whip too, know how I can just get back my phone to original, or help me from here. I would appreciate it much.

Can you get adb to find your phone? At all? Im sure they have a more easy way to go about it... If worst came to worst you can always wipe relock flash a stock rom back on it via RUU EXE or PCIMG. Turn debug on.. Unlock again flash recovery and fastboot boot recovery.img wipe and flash your rom...

did you try holding down the power and volume buttons to load your recovery?

May I ask if you can be more specific? such as; what build OTA you have, hboot version, what recovery you have, which rom and/or kernel you are trying to flash, and if you are s-on or s-off
I had a similar problem. I unlocked and rooted my EVO LTE ... Then I tried to install a custom ROM and it just got stuck at the boot animation. I didnt do a back up or anything so I was just stuck. I was able to get into Recovery. As a matter of fact I fixed it last night by loading up flashing that superwipe zip and flashing Stock with Goodies ROM. Now my EVO LTE works fine.

Alright so I am having the same problem with the Paranoid Android ROM it won't boot past the boot animation. I don't have the superwipe zip and the only other ROM I have on my phone is ViperROM which won't even flash. Any help would be appreciated.
You most likely need to flash the kernel. I'm assuming you're s-on?

I am S-on. how do I flash the Kernel? and where do I find it? thanks again for all your help.
There are a lot of guides in the development section. I'm s-off, I've never had to do it. Sorry I can't help more.

extract the boot image from the rom, place it in adb folder and open cmd in that folder
shift+right click, open command window here
then connect phone in fastboot and type fastboot flash boot boot.img
Om4 is always around to rescue people!

Hey there
I had the same problem, just when I loaded the goodies rom it crashed. Can't do anything, except boot into TWRP. Basically if I try to reflash a rom it should solve my problem?
Most likely you need to flash the kernel, use that image flash app or adb tools/android SDK to flash it in fastboot
I had a feeling
First, thanks
Ok, can I use TWRP to flash the Kernel or is there an app or pc that ill have to use?
You can use fastboot to flash the kernel or the image flash app, I havent got a link for it right now but its probably in themes and apps or original development
No PC
I don't have a PC to use. I'm wondering if I could go recovery->advance->terminal command. I see a fast lot process, but requires a PC.
Not that I know of, you need access to fastboot
Dumlock?
Reading on dumlock, else return to project when computer is available. Thanks for the help.
You can't use dumlock without access to android
So it appears
*sigh* got all excited flashed a rom without a kernel, and now **** out of luck. Seemed so much easier for my OGEVO. So my only option is to do a fast boot with a PC using the .zip I have on the sdcard?
hey guys.. i tried to install this rom, but realized the s-on feature was on. i went through the aroma installer and it just hung there. i forgot to preform the steps for s-on. i tried rumrunner but it didn't work. i need reference to get s-off and get back to stock. i can get into recovery with twrp. also my phone is unlocked. again it just stays in the htc logo screen. the rom was skydragon 6.0 now someone told me to side load it using adb but it doesn't do anything.. i have the rom downloaded to my PC,, can i flash the Boot.img? what do i need to do.. thanks a lot !
I believe it says in the OP that if you're s-on, you need to flash the boot.img.

also i didnt make any backup of the original rom!!!

Hello
Did you flash the boot.img separately using fastboot?
Also I have read that using 4ext recovery is much better for this device while flashing, with its SmartFlash feature turned on. You can try flashing the rom again using 4ext.

Hi all,
Since short I cannot start my DX anymore. It boots automatically into the bootloader (fastboot).
When I open recovery it stucks on the opening recovery screen.
When I flash a new recovery it keeps the same problem (already tried 4 of all the available).
When I do fastboot erase cache it still doesn't work.
The ROM is corrupt so that doesn't start too.
I have an unlocked S-Off phone with hboot 25.002 .
could somebody please help me?
I had same problem. The thing is that because you are S-off you must have flashed wrong rom for your hboot and that messed up the internal partitions.
I have also tried every solution you can think of but eventually the only fix was that I sent it to service. It was in waranty and they replaced the motherboard.
downgrade hboot, install ics-ruu and start from scratch.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2667156
Damn!
I have removed my s-off because I thought it wasn't neccesary. Also the commands gave me errors.
But god no, ofcourse it was neccesary, it was a s-off thread.
Now I'm stuck..
Is there any way, or does it really have to be repaired?
Damn, that wasn't smart at all.
so your phone is S-ON now?
and your bootloader is locked/relocked?
no wonder nothing works...
just repeat the unlock-procedure at htcdev and you should be able to flash a custom recovery again.
Download windroid HTC desire x toolkit and install it on Windows pc. connect your phone in fastboot and install twrp recovery. Hope this will work.

me too i also have this problem
would be great to know what the phone's doing exactly? cause there's a huge difference in "not booting" and "not switching on"
