[Q] Google Now Launcher not working for anyone else? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I try using the Google Now Launcher and it keeps telling me I need a newer version of Google Search, of which I have the latest version installed.
This is happening on both my phone (Nexus 4) and tablet (Galaxy Tab 2 7"), and both are on 4.4.4
Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks

(solved) News and weather?

Does anyone here managed to install the (google?) app News and Weather on the gp-g70 (international version)?
I sideloaded the News and weather app on my yp-G70cw. I tried both v1.3.04 (from CM7.2) and v1.1.7-RC6 (which runs on android 2.1). The new version won't even install, and the old one FC everytime I try to run it. My yp-G70 is rooted and is on stock 2.2.2 (I need the GPS + compass).
I wonder if the issue is about the version of android I'm running, or maybe samsung does something funny that breaks the app? I need this app for my alarm clock plus other things; any help and suggestion is most welcome. Thanks!
EDIT: Google is our friend

[Q] Ads linking to Play Store

Hi,
I recently migrated to Nexus devices. I have a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 7 2013 WiFi only. Recently, while I am working with my phone/tablet, the play store suddenly opens to a randon (usually Korean) app. I say Korean because the dev's website ends with'.kr' and the language looks like one of the East Asian languages (I am sorry but I cannot differentiate the very well).
I notice this happens when I am back to my home screen.
I suspected Ads and I have downloaded Ad Away and made sure I am running the most recent updates. I even installed Ad Network Detector by Lookout and even uninstalled some apps I suspected. But it still pops up.
This issue happens on both my Nexus devices. Now there is an overlap of apps but they are not exactly the same.
Please note that I am running rooted stock 4.4 and stock kernel on the Nexus 7 2013 WiFi only (Dalvik runtime) and I am running rooted stock 4.4 with custom kernel on my Nexus 5 (ART runtime). I have not updated play store manually. Everything is as is from Google. And the play store version is 4.4.22.
One last thing, yesterday, I noticed the same type of "ads" on my wife's galaxy s2 running Jelly Bam v10. There is very little overlap in terms of apps.
This is a very annoying form of ads. Anyone experienced this?
I appreciate your help.

[Q] Remove Google launcher integration in KitKat? Possible?

I am using LiquidSmooth ROM 2.37 on my d2tmo Galaxy 3. I would like to upgrade to KitKat, either CM11 or LIquidSmooth 3 but I have been reading about how the Google launcher is integrated with Google Now and in the home screen. I prefer to use as few google products as possible (I know, I know, android is a google product etc). My question is, if I install a different launcher like Nova or something, can I strip out the Google stuff or is it always there underneath everything?
Any ideas or advice appreciated.

[Q] Google now launcher issues

Hi guys, as of last week I installed a beta APK on my Note 4 that basically gave my Google now launcher the Android M app drawer and everything was fine up until about 3 days ago when all of a sudden my Google now cards aren't showing up. I'll only get weather if I'm lucky. I even uninstalled the apk and my launcher still has the Android M look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] A way to get notifications mirroring between Android devices after Pushbullet..?

Notifications mirroring between my Android devices (a Note 3 and a Tab S) has always worked perfectly for me and was invaluable to me, probably the biggest reason I was using and loved Pushbullet but they have just removed this feature!! :/
I have tried to search both via Google and on the Play Store for other apps that do that but haven't found any! :/
So, is everything lost forever P) or does somebody knows of other apps that do that?
TNX!
I'm in the same boat.
