Hey guys! I'm running Hyperdrive 16.1 and I was wondering if anyone knew where the sound files were for the little beep sounds when a call connects and when a call disconnects. I'm trying to change these to something else. I've looked in \system\media\ui and found "CallConnect.ogg" and "TW_Call_Disconnect.ogg" and have tried backing up and replacing these files to no avail, however, those are the sounds I wanted to change. I did set the correct permissions and rebooted but no dice. Any idea? I did not clear either of my caches when I did this. Should I try that? Thanks!
EDIT: I found it, ignore this post. For anyone also curious, I'm pretty sure its in the SecPhone APK. (Guess I should have looked there sooner) I haven't tried it yet, but under \res\raw, there's .ogg files that indicate call connect and disconnect.

I have eris21official-root.zip and sense-able 2.0.
When the phone rings I slide the slider down to answer and I cant hear anyone and the caller cant hear me. The call timer never starts. I had my friend sitting next to me call me, I answer and he hears in his earpiece my phone stop ringing but we cant hear each other.
When I try to make a call the contact picture comes up but no timer and the call doesnt ring in my earpiece or on his phone. Its like the phone is not connecting.
If I power down the phone and back up it works....and then a few calls later the same thing....nothing.
Any ideas?
I also have two icons in my programs for PDF viewer and contacts. They are side by side...
I hate to be a bother. I have read all I could to resolve this without posting but nothing worked.
Any help would be appreciated.
Do a factory wipe, and a dalvik with. Then reset the phone up, and do the 228 activation again. Still won't work, use my downgrade and wait for a rom based on the offical 2.1 upgrade.
NOOO!!! go into settings and change tty mode to off trust me
i have been having this same problem oh my god.. finally someone wth the same problem as me.. what i did was installed the heroic radio and did a *228 activation.. it has worked for me so far its been two days without the phone messing up..

Click to collapse
Thanks for the reply, but tty was already off.
i can also vouch for this...my wife's eris has the same issues. In fact, she has had two eris's that have had it. I have checked the TTY and the also flashed the newest heroc radios to no avail. If anyone else has any ideas, it looks like i will have to revert hers back to 1.5

Helle there.
I don't know why but since yesterday, when somebody call me, i got no sound anymore... the notification sound works perfectly, but not the ringtone.
It's an mp3 file, but I also try with a Android file, and it doesn't work... still silence.
Anybody got idea for this issue?
ps: maybe there is no link, but it happened some days after I install "Rings Extended"
gotcha
changing the profile in the notification bar doesn't work.
I had to go in the preference, and change it manually in the options.
Hey guys,
i really really need your help, i´m running out of ideas over here
A few days ago i installed crDroid 15.2 on my Galaxy S3 (amongst other things i chose the boeffla 3.10-beta2-Linaro-kernel and a modified SecPhone.apk during the installation with AromaInstaller). I did all the configurations and was pretty happy to eventually have found my perfect custom rom. AutoRecord, no-delay etc.: everything worked very well until i had to reboot my phone for some reason.
Problem was now that i couldn´t neither hear the caller nor the person i called (in fact there hasn´t even been a dialing signal before the connection was established, everything mute from start to the end) while they could hear me perfectly fine. Trying the speakers didn´t work, too.
Making calls with Skype worked, though, and every other "sound producing" app was able to do so. I also could hear the "call signals" (i have to translate here, in german it´s called "Anrufsignal"), but not the actual dialing signal. By call signals i mean the notification-sounds that you can set to know when the connection is established and closed again (there was a third signal, too, i think it was a beep every minute or so...).
Long story short:
I tried to reinstall with a new Kernel (non-Linaro, Stock XXEMB5), unmodified SecPhone.apk and another modem in different combinations, but that didn´t do it.
Even a hardreset (which included a system- and SdCard-wipe, so mobile was superclean) followed by a reinstall didn´t work, the problem persists. Phone works fine until first reboot.
Now i got back to a rooted stock rom (filename: I9300XXEMC2_I9300DBTEMC1_I9300XXEMC2_HOME.tar.md5) and experience no problems so far, but i really appreciated my (nearly) perfect custom rom and would prefer to use it as soon as possible
I already tried google and the search on this site, but it seems that nobody else ever had similar problems, so you are my last hope to make it work :/
Thanks a lot for your help
Hello everyone,
I have recently been experiencing a weird issue with making or receiving calls. About 20% of the time, I am able to successfully make and receive calls, and majority of the time I just see the dailer timer progressing but no audio output from the earpiece speaker. When I insert headphones or try speakerphone I am still unable to hear any audio from calls. However, music plays just fine from headphones. I can also send texts and MMS with no issues. Sometimes when power cycle the phone it will work for a couple calls only.
I have literally tried everything. Flashed different modems, went back to stock touchwiz, numerous factory resets, removed SIM/SD card, etc. with no luck. I am currently on the latest GPE build since my GS4 has the MDK bootloader. I have determined that it is not an issue with this ROM itself since no one else is experiencing this issue and I have seen it on the other ROMs I have recently tried.
If anyone has suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I have searched for days online and have not been able to find a solution that has worked, and I am beginning to think it is a hardware issue although my call audio works some of the time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
OK Google Voice Search
I had a similar issue. I was able to resolve it by disabling the setting where you can say OK Google from anywhere on your phone and that fixed it. Unlike you, I am on the latest update, rooted. Maybe try messing with OK Google Detection settings, disable all of them and see if it starts working, then re-enable 1 at a time until you find the issue.
So I'm looking to see if anyone else has run into this issue.
Recently I've experienced a problem where people on the other end of my call cannot hear me properly, it does not seem to matter if I'm using the microphone on the phone or a bluetooth headset. They say they either cant hear me, or I sound like I'm breaking up. My phone signal is perfect and my location does not seem to matter either.
Rebooting it does not necessarily fix it, although some combination of rebooting the phone, putting it into and out of speakerphone and maybe some other things seems to eventually clear it up.
At all times I can hear them perfectly.
The phone is stock rom but rooted.
Has anyone else run into this?
Try running this code in your phone app ##update# .if you don't mind try flashing barepop it has updated files that should help you. I recomend that you use the themer version (TE) it's the phone with the updated files. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/barepop-zv8-t3035551. That dialer code will update your prl and profile and it should fix it. If that does not help you download terminal on your phone and run these commands and make sure to press enter between commands:
su <will get supersu access
killall rild< will restart cell
Run those commands after the dialer code.
Appreciate the response, I'll give the suggestions a try and let you know. It may be a couple of days as the issue is definitely intermittent.
I'd rather not flash to a ROM for now. I've not had any reservations about doing it in the past, but for now I'd like to try without another ROM.
