Hello,
I've started to work on CyanogenMod for the G850F. If anbody knows how to port a ROM or knows C/C++ and want to work together, feel free to contact me! Reading and understanding strace output is essential.
https://git.cryptomilk.org/projects/android/android_device_samsung_slte.git/
I will post my progress in this thread.
If you know how to write C code or Java code, please pick an item and send patches. You should know how to use strace and gdb.

super thanks man ... i wish i'd know something about porting but great work man
Can someone tell me the usb vendor id and product id if you have your device (stock rom) connected via usb mtp?
The current TWRP changes are in my TESTING branch but it doesn't work yet. The kernel is started cause init.rc sets the correct usb vendor and product ID. But I don't get any graphics, so it looks like it can't start the recovery itself ...
Finally I have the recovery working. At the moment with a hack to init.c to disable setting selinux into enforcing mode. The current issue is that adb isn't working and that's bad for development cause you need a shell if the system doesn't boot to check the kernel ring buffer ...
@modpunk
I can not imagine ALPHA forum without you, God forbid, god help me somehow I can hep you in Development
but I`m tabula rasa in program language
I finally got adb on the recovery working
Code:
write /sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_ffs/aliases adb
is the issue. This seems to be broken in the Kernel ...
bonuzzz and I are trying to get CM-12.0 working. The first important hint was from Christopher R. Palmer that the mali blob has linking issues and we need to fix that. Now we discovered that the EntropyMixer is trying to read /dev/hw_random in an infinite loop, so it never finished the boot process. Luckily the N910 has newer source code with fixes for the hardware RNG. Maybe this fixes it ...

Will the work applied to this be ported to the Snapdragon Galaxy Alpha once finished?
I would assume that's easier.. as you don't need the Exynos things?
Cheers.

Hopefully its easier , then it would mean more Roms, recover and cm available for g850w

Snapdragon variant has almost different hardware, so it would be not easier to port.. I have exynos variant, so I do cm for it only.
This isn't anything big.
Just a simple fix for audio not being transmitted through Bluetooth and a port of a few audio files from OOS 2.2.1 (it had better audio).
Here's the link
MEGA
https://mega.nz/#!xdY2XDgL!bUKZ0VAC-NhzvNwvQWu-ZG9D9fa_e_ZWAdRcabtgEDs
DRIVE
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-a0yH5iM61tblFEMWE3ZWd6anM/view?usp=docslist_api
It's a flashable zip.
Please do report back.

MY PHONE WON'T SOFT REBOOT ANYMORE; PRAISE @tejas999 !!! Oh, Bluetooth audio works now, thanks man!
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
Edit: flashing this fixes Bluetooth BUT breaks headset AND speaker audio (for me at least)
I'm running the stock deodexed/debloated OOS 3.0 with divine beats audio MOD. Flashing this makes Bluetooth work but that's it, reverting breaks Bluetooth BUT all sounds works elsewhere... Hmm betas are great haha.
does it work wit the newest h2os?
Edit: it works without any problems (H2OS 1.4.0 debloated + v4a).

That's a problem of the audio files in my MOD clashing with the ones in Divinebeats.
Flash Divinebeats remover or dirty flash OOS 3 again and you'll be good to go.
Those custom Viper audio might contains additional files that was installed together buried in /system . It could be the cause why some people still have issues after flashing the fix

Hi !
Did any of you got an error while wanted to flash ?
i downloaded the .zip from my mac and then put it the storage and tried to flash it but i got this message "flashing failed" (something like that)
i updated OOS 3.0 the dirty way... maybe this is the problem.
i'm trying to update again with wipe and everything and then i will try to flash the .zip for the bluetooth again... we'll see.

Did you ask permission to post this?
There could be reasons why devs don't post their work for general public release in device forums.
Also if we are going to credit the rom then the original author @deadman96385 should be recognized.

Well I went ahead and tried this build anyways and it boots fine. Video and audio is working. It's a bit sluggish at times but I think that could be solved with A little work on the kernel. As long as I didn't over do it with the apps installed it ran very nicely though. I really hope that the original dev (who is a genius in my mind) keeps working on this port. I would be more than willing to do the testing and am used to logcats. Just let me know. And thank you for sharing.
i tried this the other day and i like it. but there are a couple of bugs that i found. when installing Gapps Google Music stops working on boot which i removed because i don't use it anyway. And no cameras work on it at all. all apps fail to load camera. other than that i like it. i hope someone works on this more or makes newer roms for this device.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed too. This is a good tablet. I picked up the Tab 3 t110 last year around Christmas and it too has almost no development. At least this tab has a ported CM based rom to tinker with. A good stock rooted rom would be nice too. I will be watching this thread to see if it goes anywhere.

Currently running Evervolv on my t350. Over joyed to have found a Rom and development on this device, I had lost hope for it. Thanks to everyone especially the dev.
I finally got this ROM to run very smoothly and everything is working as it should. Camera, videos, audio and Bluetooth all working. About the only thing that isn't that great is battery consumption but I think as the rom settles in it may get better. I hope that the original dev decides to officially support the t350 with his build of Evervolve. So far so good. Even the theme engine worked flawlessly.

They worked without moding anything. But it wasn't an easy install... Lol.. I would add an app or two and let it go for a while. Doing it that way it worked great. The only issue was the battery usage. It wasn't good at all but if we had a kernel that would allow for tweaking, I think it could be tamed. Its a good start to having a ROM other than TouchWiz. : )
Please help me
I installed this custom rom and there is no google play services or nothing. just audio fx, calculator, chromium, clock. contacts, documents, downloads, email, gallery, music, settings and themes. No google anything. Please link me or tell me how to find the google play services version that i need, will be much appreciated thanks in advance

Thanks @lian00 for sharing this app. I'm able to successfully install and run this cool camera app after making a new flashable zip file (since the original zip provided by this post will not work in my case due to some uncertain reasons) on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (running LOS 14.1). This is a feature rich camera app although many features are broken on my S5. I hope it will work on any other LOS and AOSP based nougat ROMs. If someone is interested, feel free to try with the original or my zip file. A link to screen cast video from my Dropbox is here.

Maybe it's not a good idea to use such kind of ROMs without proper github sources.
This post goes against the rules. Its gotta be your own work, not some random link to a forum in another language. You can make reference to it in the general section, but not here. Sorry
