Yes they need to be for locked bootloader otherwise you can brick your device

Not all custom ROMs will work with locked bootloaders. Some custom ROMs work only with unlocked bootloaders. Best to check the 1st post of the custom ROM thread to see what are the requirements before you flash.

I tried the rom with unlocked BL and stock kernel, the result was a very fast and smooth rom but the wifi does not work and for some reason I had no sound at all.
i relock my BL and the rom is not working with blocked bootloader and stock kernel,it gets stuck in sony logo I can keep testing for you, just send me a message

Flash the hasa Rom by sandy07 wipe everything and install my Rom with supersu fix by sandy07 then it should work

Is it possible to delete both recovery and root and revert back in stock state in order to avail warranty.

as far as i know there is currently no way to root your Xperia Sola without unlocking the bootloader

yeah.. just update your phone using PC Companion or SEUS or flash a firmware file using flashtool and it will be as good as a new phone out of the box

As far as I understand, you only need a rooted Phone with stock kernel and xrecovery installed. In the x10 mini pro section, there is the same ROM, so I guess that is a port fo x10 mini. It seems as if you dont have to unlock your bootloader to use it. Why dont you just try flashing it via xrecovery?
