I need some help on my Verizon Thunderbolt. I did something dumb and need some help. Hopefully someone is able to direct me to the correct path.
I was trying to install a rooted and debloated rom for my device. I just want to use it as a clock.
So I ended up unlocking the bootloader and installed CWM touch.
I forgot to make a backup and wipe the entire device right away. I installed stock rooted rom, it shows black screen after the HTC screen. I just realized that I have forgotten to S-OFF.
Now I was trying to install RUU so I can boot the device up and S-OFF.
I tried googling for a few hours and I could not find stock firmware or RUU. All of them are dead link.
For some reason, I am unable to install stock rom when I booted into Fastboot and have the stock zip (P4IMG.zip <<< I forgot how to spell it). It checked everything but does not show up the menu to let me flash the stock firmware.
Now I have: Unlocked bootloader, S-On, CWM Touch installed.
I would like to know is it anyway flash a working rom (stock gb or any and not dead link) so that I am able to boot up and carry out S-Off.
Thanks,
Appreciate any feedback and replies.

I was running cleanrom 3.7 and decided to relock the bootloader and flash the new RUU. I used the all in one rezound tool to re-lock the bootloader and now I'm stuck in the stock recovery. No matter what I do I can't get out of it. It says the the bootloader is relocked. I'm trying to flash the RUU leak but it wont recognize it, instead of looking for PH98IMG.zip its looking for PH98DIAG.zip. I assure you I'm no noob but sure as hell fell like one right now. Any help please.
Edit. Problem solved. Not sure how but it finally read the PH98IMG file right.
Can someone guide me on where to get the RUU for AT&T for HOX+? i saw other RUU for different countries but the question is can i use any RUU on my ATT One X+? i unlocked the bootloader and rooted using the all in one kit.
i think i screwed up while installing the elegencia rom. Currently i can go into recovery (TWRP) but am not able to install any rom. Tryin to reboot it says no OS present on the device.
Kind words of advice are highly appreciated.

And what's your steps in recovery? You flashed boot.img?
thanks for the RUU.
i am a novice with this rooting/hacking process but will try my best to answer your questions.
I installed the elegencia colored rom and didnt like it after 2 days and therefore deicede to to for the elegencia stock look rom. I moved the zip file to the sd card and then rebooted into recovery. I cleaned up all the dalvik/regular cache and then accidently deleted all the system (the rom) was feeling too sleepy late in the night. So now there is no rom on the phone and when i reboot the phone it gets stuck on the htc logo since there is no rom. I tried to install the rom on sd card but it gives me an error message and asks me to do adb sideload.
so i thought that if someone (like you) can help me with the RUU i can possibly go back to stock.
To the best of my memory i did not flash any boot.img.
hope this answers your questions
Just relock your bootloader, and run the ruu...and start over? Hope it helps....
thanks this helped. I am back to stock.
Ok, I don't consider myself too much of a noob, I have rooted my old droid incredible many times...however,
I tried rooting my rezound today and believe I was successful at least in getting my bootloader unlocked...(using Hasoon's AIO kit v3.1)
I tried loading aokp rom and it just stuck on the white HTC screen..I can get into hboot, I tried rebooting many times..I downloaded
RUU_Vigor_VERIZON_WWE_2.01.605.11_Radio_RS_0.95.00.1123r_3161E_9K_QMR_release_233635_signed.zip and copied it to the sd card, renamed it PH98IMG.zip and tried re-flashing to the same stuck white HTC screen.
I am starting to freak out and wish I didn't have to ask for help here, but I am at the end of the rope and don't know what else to do...
Any kind souls out there that can help me?
Thanks in advance...
Being stuck at the white screen means the kernel didn't load when you installed the rom. I'm assuming your phone is still s-on. You need to flash the kernel seperate from the rom using fastboot. Extract the boot.img from the rom zip and flash it from your PC, I believe the option is there in the all in one tool.
If you wan to run the RUU, you need to re-lock your bootloader first and flash it through the bootloader, not recovery.

The boot.img flashing DID work...
Now I just have to find the correct stock ROM... The one I tried said it was too old during the recovery...
any thoughts....Any links to a solid recent stock ROM??
Thanks again!!
Edit: ignore me, posted in wrong thread
If you want to stick with Sense 3.6, I recommend this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855605
I've download stock one for my rezound from android police website.
Edit: there is the latest one there, v. 4.xx maybe.

If you want the latest official RUU, here is a link:
(the RUU you tried to use above was a GB one)
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/?dir=Vigor Grab 3.14.605.12
There was a recent OTA to take it to .13 but it's not really necessary.
If you want to go to the global leak RUU here is a link:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...ull-ruu-build-4-03-605-2-for-the-htc-rezound/
Since you are s-on, if you go to the global leak you won't be able to go back to anything official unless you s-off.
The above will have Verizon bloat, so if you want something stock without bloat you can look through the ROMs. I think there's a couple in there.

What does your heart really want? Do you want to run custom ROMs and have root or not? It mostly sounds like you may want to return to stock due to lack of understanding and knowledge. That's okay if you want to do that. But kinda against the spirit of XDA!
Relock the bootloader and RUU will return the phone to stock and unrooted.
But it just sounds like you have mismatched firmware (results in long boot times with no boot animation, which some folks mistake for it not being booted).
Also, the newest TWRP require updated hboot, so that is probably the problem there.
If you want the phone rooted, and running a custom ROM: either run a ROM that corresponds with your firmware, or s-off and update your firmware.
What hboot and radio numbers? S-on or S-off?

Holy run-on sentence! Seriously, please take the time to type a proper response with punctuation. Making it easier to read, makes it easier for me to help you. And that is what you want, isn't it???
I don't use my personal email for this type of support. That is what these forums are for.
Skydragon is probably not "stuck" but rather taking an extremely long time to boot (10+ minutes) with no boot animation, which often leads folks to believe its stuck altogether. If you leave it alone, it will probably boot eventually, but you may also find that WiFi is broken. Both are symptoms of the wrong firmware for the ROM you flashed.
Your hboot number also indicates that you don't have the right firmware installed, as firmware includes hboot as well as radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, and other modules.
On the AT&T variant, you will not have any "official" way to update the firmware to anything more up-to-date than 2.x firmware (hboot 3.17). You need 4.x firmware (hboot 3.19) to run the ROM you mentioned. Therefore you need s-off by sunshine (if not s-off already).
You can check s-on or s-off by booting into bootloader, and you will see it says one of the other near the top of the screen.
Alternately, if you don't s-off, you can flash a ROM that corresponds to your firmware. Try the following ROM, but putting the ROM zip on a removable SD card using a card reader connected to your computer (if you have those available). Then boot into recovery, navigate to the file and flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705640
Aside from that, you should really get your USB connectivity issue sorted out. You can't do much without it. Verify no response when you type fastboot devices when the phone is in fastboot mode. If it doesn't respond (should return device ID) then try a different USB cable, and different USB port. If on Windows, try going to Device Manager, finding the phone, and pick the option to manually select the drivers, than pick the USB MTP drivers (not the HTC ones). This will often fix adb/fastboot connectivity issues.
Can anyone upload the AT&T stock recovery img? @thoughtlesskyle was awesome enough to upload the system and boot partitions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-one-m9/general/stock-stock-twrp-t3080499
I guess the AT&T RUU would work as well if anyone has that floating around.
THX all!
I would also really appreciate a flashable stock recovery partition!
I have a brand new HTC One M9, stock and untouched - I unlocked the bootloader, but relocked it before flashing TWRP or anything because I realized that I can have root, or stock recovery, but not both.
I'm reluctant to wipe the stock recovery image and replace it with TWRP, because I *really* want the camera OTA applied correctly when AT&T decides to push it out.
If I wipe the stock recovery, install TWRP, and install root along with a ROM - I'll lose the stock recovery, and even if I reflash a bone-stock system dump, the recovery partition will be modified so I won't be able to take the AT&T signed OTA and flash it.
I even tried to "fastboot boot twrp-recovery-2.8.6.4.img" in both bootloader and download mode to see if I can use TWRP without flashing and blowing away the stock recovery partition, but no luck.... and it seems I'm unable to backup the stock recovery partition as is unless I get root (which requires me to flash TWRP...)
You can get it here

[/QUOTE] you can go here and get AT&T ruu with latest update.
I'm confused on how I can return my m9 to Full stock. I have twrp , S OFF and SuperSU.
I've downloaded RUU from http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html
Do I first do S-ON then launch RUU exe and it will be back to stock? Do I even need to have S-ON ? Will flashing RUU via just running it remove root AND twrp?
att HTC One M9 back to stock fully
So this is what I found after some research and was successful at resetting everything to stock:
If you are rooted, unlocked, your status on bootloader says 'modified' but you want to go back to stock. To return the phone or some other reason:
First - set your phone to S-OFF with http://theroot.ninja/index.html I know - it costs $25. I will gladly accept another way of doing it, but unaware of one.
Second - set your Software Status back to Official by visiting this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/how-to-restore-software-status-original-t3092882
This the second step since you need to be S-OFF for it to work.
At this point you'll still have your Bootloader showing as Unlocked and of course S will be OFF.
Then do the step 2 to lock the bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/guide-return-m9-to-100-stock-s-off-t3091730
Then I would not do step 3, but only because I found ROM exe for my ATT one m9 here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html
It'll take 5 minutes or so to finish. This will reload your Lollipop back to factory state. It will also unroot your phone.
Then you can do S-ON by rebooting to download mode ( adb reboot download ) and running: ( fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 ). This was 'optional' step after step 7 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/guide-return-m9-to-100-stock-s-off-t3091730
