i feel it a bit laggy and i'm running out of internal space
so what ROM can make it super fast without using TasksPanel to kill things from time to time and has support to store applications on the memory card ?
arabic language addon with the above would be even better!
Thanks
Take a look at Cronos Droid Might be the fastest... even faster than Villain 6.0 and others jit enabled roms!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=607865
fastest but not 2.1
look at my Signature i think it's the fastest 2.1 rom
I find the Kimera 1.6 ROM with 650MHz overclock kernel makes my Hero fly, especially compared to 2.1 ROMs, such as Cronos 1.3.

Try Cronos Droid first! I tried bot yesterday...No way! Cronos is much faster!

do you think kimera 1.6 is faster than 1.8?
(I'm on 1.8 custom oc and never tried previous versions)

But why not publishing some numbers? Just quote the performance application you used and the publish your numbers.
Or, better, let's all agree on a single performance application.
Anything like "I think/feel/see xyz being the fastest" is simply an opinion, not a fact.
But some roms (especially those with jit enabled) scores really high in for exampel linpack. However they can still feel quite laggy in menu's etc.
imo kimera is the fastest right now. and i tried most of the custom roms.
So let's check JIT and non.JIT roms separately.
Kimera 1.8 running at 690mhz
Linpack: 3.0 mflops
aHero
aHero is not only very, VERY fast but also quite stable.
It is, by far, my favourite Vanilla ROM.

Sorry, I meant 1.8.
Cronos Droid Version 1.3
There isn't a faster Rom than kimera 1.8 and thats a fact.
SuperHero 1.1.0 gets over 5 Mflops in some cases with JIT and O/C.
It's the fastest 2.1 ROM AFAIK.
Right now I'd rather see more functions than speed. Most of the roms I've tried are stable, but missing one or more functions like MMS, Facebook sync, has green tint, etc etc.
Speed (as well as size) isn't everything.

The 1.5 ROMs are all pretty damn good in that respect.
Superhero 1.1 is the fastest with JIT and OC of 710 MHz i get 4.522 MFLOPS
I've tested several roms including CronosDroid, Villain 5.5 and SlideVillain. I've found that if you don't want to overclock, Legendroid seems to be the fastest. It just feels faster than the others. Whether this is reflected in benchmarks I don't know, I was not using linpack when I was exploring the different roms available.
I've been running the Ben10 Legendary kernel over Legendroid for the last 6hrs and it works well, but I haven't run other overclocked roms so I can't make a comparison there.
Overall though, Legendroid seems to have a speed about it that the others lack. Whether you're flicking through contacts, using the browser or jumping between homescreens, other roms feel laggy compared to it. Especially if you're a sense junky, the Legend ports have far more stuff built into them compared to other roms.
Since all this new hype about the phone being rooted has been coming out. Theres on thing I've been concerned with since I've planned on getting the phone. Will we be able to use Setcpu once root is released, and if so can we immediately clock up to 1.5ghz? Is it in the coding already, or is this kernel just officially set at 1.2?
I figured someone might have an answer since they achieved root through the kernel and have poked around in there
We wont know till we all have root. But I highly doubt it, we will most likely need a custom kernel to enable overclocking. and having root doesnt give us kernel source code.
Bah! That's right, I've been so used to having everything available w/ the Evo 4G that I forgot about source code...
Any thoughts on the actual functionality of Setcpu though? Because I know for some phones/kernels Setcpu does not play well (or even at all sometimes) aka early times w/ Tegra 2's (even though their NAND and source coding were completely different)
I'd stay away from SetCPU for the time being, even if a future kernel supports overclocking. Our CPU has two cores with totally independent core clocks, so an app that is only designed to control a single clock wouldn't even know how to deal with our setup.
If I were you I'd try to let go of the old mindset of "faster, faster" and focus on getting rid of bloatware and generally streamlining the OS. This phone is already so fast that overclocking isn't going to accomplish anything except burn the battery faster and maybe return some slightly higher benchmark scores, but you probably won't notice any improvement in speed, because how can you get any faster than "immediate"??

With the flux capacitor they just released of course, dont you read the development forum?
But good point about all the other programs being made for 1 core OCing. We probably wont be able to use anything to overclock with until someone releases a version specifically for this phone.
I prefer to use these programs as a way of undervolting and limiting speed to get better battery life rather than overclocking for more speed.
Well until an optimized ROM and s-off was cracked I just wanted a little more oomph to get sense running a little smoother but I really have no complaints withthe phone. Just wish sense was a little smoother. (Yes twss)

Hey guys, I've seen that lots of people have been having confusion between the ICS roms and whatnot.
1. TMOUS ICS LEAK
Stock Sense 3.6 with Ics 4.0.3
2. Android Revolution HD 2.x.x
Same as TMO Leak only with improved performance and battery. There are NO visual changes whatsoever in what I've seen. Completely stock look.
3. Energy ROM build April 27 and forward
Based on TMO Leak. April 27 build is much like Android Rev HD, only with some tweaks put in by NRG. New build that is on the way is themed and has more tweaks. If you haven't used the Energy ROM before, expect a heavily themed ROM just like the earlier GB builds of the ROM.
4. Speed Run 2.x.x
Currently in beta testing. A senseless ROM, with ICS lockscreen and Stock ICS look. If I'm not mistaken, Sense launcher/Rosie is removed and replaced by another launcher, more specifically, Trebuchet or Nova for example, which are built on the Stock ics launcher with more features.
5. RevolutionizedNonSense
Based on ARHD 2.1.0. Similar to Speed Run, with much of Sense removed. Rosie replaced by Apex.
Hope some people can make good use of it

Can someone please post AnTuTu scores of the different versions. I am probably going to flash one of these (Energy probably as I am used to his GB ROM) soon as I am tired of all the TMobile crap, and I need the quick settings that NRG has in his version.
I am currently on stock ICS, rooted with ext4 installed. AnTuTu has given me scores around 6500 (last run was 6558) and I have seen someone on AndroidRev has a score of 6666. If any of these ROMs are significantly faster, I will go with that option. Anyone on Energy, please? I cannot post in the Android Dev section because I have never posted much here. But I am absolutely loving ICS so far, and might even try and get into development since I have a little bit of coding skills.

I hope u don't base which rom to flash by antutu benchmarks. Honestly, it doesn't take but 10 min to do a backup and flash a rom. I always download each rom and make a backup so I can just switch between backups. It's always best to try a variety and see what u like best.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense, and what I would normally tell other people too. I just want to change to something with a high score for a few days, to see if it really feels any snappier, before flashing Energy for regular use .

Not to whore out my rom but.. well wait, I kinda am.
You can add RevolutionizedNonsense to the list- it is based on Android Revolution HD(which has a ton of tweaks you should note on the OP) but has all of the sense removed, and uses aosp(Lockscreen,Browser, mms, gallery, email, calendar, etc) a lot like the speed run does(I just chose a better name )
But so far it has been super smooth, everything works.. and because it was built on top of mike1986's Android Revolution it is snappy as hell, and so far really good on battery life.
Really, I couldn't ask for a better rom unless I made it myself.. which I did.

First off, let me say that this is more a question out of curiosity so I can learn more about the android system then real concern.
That having been said, I have noticed that AOSP roms consistently score lower on benchmark software (Antutu to be exact) then Sense based roms, even though its immediately obvious that the AOSP roms are faster in the "real world". I have read on another phone's forum that it was OpenGL based for that phone, is it the same thing for our Rezounds, or are there other factors at work?
I do realize that benchmark scores are not the end all for performance representation, however the fact remains that there has to be something that is bringing down the AOSP score, hence why this is a question of curiosity .
That is an observation I have not made. The scores are pretty much the same for me. Just ran a 6336 on Antutu. Without overclocking, I run about the same on Sense.
I just had to rerun to make sure I wasn't making an a** of myself....
Both runs were using Neo's roms (adrenaline and rage)
on adrenaline with dsb's kernel and no OC I got a 7125
on rage running the bundled kernel i got a 6577
I've never seen over 7k on this phone without some heavy overclocking. What version of dsb's kernel are you using? A lot of them don't hold stable clocks. Try a benchmark with the stock kernel. It's a much more fair test since the AOSP is basically stock.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
I was running his 2.01 kernel with 192 min and 1.5 max using smartassv2 gov for the posted score.
Will have to get back to you on the stock kernel numbers as I am currently back on AOSP since I am playing around with themeing it, however for what it's worth this phone consistently (10-12 different benchmark runs) scored between 7000 and 7200 on the dsb kernel.
Yup I got over 8200 with my friends class 10 card in... With the standard one I get just under 7800 with OC and around 7200 without on DSBs kernel on 2 different roms...
Does anyone even use geekbench?

Well Rezound is built for sense so you can expect it to be, but once we get a working OC kernel you will see asop jump up in benchmarks
In Antutu, I get around 6500 with "stock" based Sense 3.6 roms. Then Sense 4 came out and the Antutu scores are 1000 higher, my top was 7700. I don't know why Sense 4 runs so much faster, especially since it was ported to our phone. AOSP I think scores were in between, 7000 range? But I'm not certain. Anyway Sense 4 is blisteringly fast, Sense 3.6 is garbage, and AOSP roms are the fastest going between apps/launcher. Once AOSP gets more solid, I will probably switch full time, but ViperREZ Sense 4 has sooooooo many features (and speed) it is hard to put down.
I have tested a couple of ROM for the past week and I got mixed results in Antutu Benchmark. I managed to get a maximum of 42000 and a minimum of 33000 points in Antutu.
I am asking for whoever got over 42000 to let us know which ROM did he used and what Kernel version. Also if it is possible the performance of the battery under that specific ROM.
Thanks

benchmarks arent a indication of how fast a rom feels
try some roms and see what you like the feel of
and yes performance under battery is posible, just depends on your rom config and your personal root user settings for some things

Stock, debloated and odexed (not deodexed - odex files are very important if you neee speed).

I don't know what those 2 words after "stock" mean, but yeah. When you fresh install the stock ROM, is it debloated and deodexed on its own? Or are those some seperated complicated processes that I have to do? Like debloating the ROM first and then deodexing it or deodexing the ROM first and then debloating it. Yeah?
He's saying not to deodex. Your best thing to do is take stock rom, root it, debloat it (twitter, Facebook and whatever else, there's a thread about bloat here somewhere). If you don't know what odex is do not touch it, for the most part you only want to deodex if you need to modify the framework.
I did try a antutu benchmark, but each time was different, so the score is not all
Liquid smooth is by far the fastest operating ROM I've ever used on any device. Transitions happen so fast it's like apps are slapping you in the face! As far as processing things, that's always going to be the same on any ROM.
