HTC Desire X Bootloop - HTC Desire X

Hi guys my htc desire X goes in a continious boot loop. I turn it on then a minute later it restarts a minute later. The process repeats itself over and over.
CID: HTC_001
Baseband: 10.22.40.06U_1.15.40.04
Rom version: 2.20.401.5
Its rooted on stock with unlocked bootloader.
I tried to reflash the stock recovery but it does not show, does anyone have the correct stock image to flash?
I also cannot revert to stock RUU as my phone is updated from the version its trying to flash.
Can anyone help?

You should try to fastboot flash the boot image from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249760.

You flashed a boot.img to recovery partition
Your continuous bootloop is a sign of motherboard failure if you did not messed up any system file.

I bet you're choosing recovery from hboot and u think that's what we mean by " fastboot boot recovery.img" yes/no? Like meangreenie said, u need a recovery image in the same folder as fasboot on your computer. Hook the phone up while in hboot, choose fastboot, cd to the folder that the recovery and fastboot are in and type fastboot boot recovery.img, and make sure the recovery that's in there is named recovery.img. if it doesn't work, post what it says in the command window

What error are you getting when trying to run the RUU? You need to make sure the RUU matches the base of the rom that your phone is currently on. What were you doing when you started to have this problem?

Sorry I meant to say fastboot, I reset my SwiftKey keyboard because I got tired of fighting with it and the reset made it worse lol
Just download trwp recovery image and fastboot flash that, then pick a rom package and extract boot image and fastboot flash that, boot into twrp and flash the same ROM zip
Hurray, SwiftKey has arrogantly corrected 10,000 keystrokes, if only I could get it to work as intended

[Q] Black screen while booting

Hi,
today I wanted to flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249760 , but by mistake I flashed boot.img by clicking "flash system" on WinDroid HTC Desire X toolkit I think this is the reason why I can't install any rom on my device because it stuck on the black screen after white HTC. I wanted to flash stock system.img but I can't find it anywhere :crying: Can anybody help me?
Just flash that Rom through recovery then reboot to bootloader and type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and flash the boot.img inside.

Recovery? If you have JB version you must have hboot 1.25, too; if you have 1.24 hboot install an ICS recovery.
And don't forget to wipe all.

I know this. I have 1.25 hboot, TWRP recovery 2.6, I wiped, flashed this rom, and then boot.img throught fastboot. And I still can't launch my phone. I also tried other roms but it's still the same. I don't have any backups. I don't know what to do:crying:

i was trying to install the Dirty unicorn rom onto my phone, but i did one of the installation steps wrong, i flashed both the rom and gapps at the same time when it said to first reboot rom and afterwards install gapps. Anyways, now i have a bootloop. I was trying to go back into the recovery mode to do the whole installation all over but i for some reason the Teamwin logo appears for about 3 seconds and the phone restarts. Can someone please help me i need my phone :/
Information about my phone: S-off

As the screen goes black hold the volume down button. This will get you to the bootloader screen, and from there you can go to recovery.

Won't boot, no recovery, only fastboot.

hello, not sure what's going on here but I can't boot normally (it just stays on the OnePlus logo)
can't boot to recovery either, still just the logo. (vol down & power)
I have fastboot, and tried to flash a genuine twrp recovery... http://i.imgur.com/TY300qg.png
as you can see from that image, it was successful - but I still can't boot into it.
if I try the hardware keys, again it's just the OnePlus logo, and if I try do it from fastboot without flashing, I get this...
http://i.imgur.com/TObXGB9.png
please keep in mind I definitely got the right image from the twrp website, and the sha1sums match.
so, I tried the official cyanogen recovery from their site instead, and it's the same story - it won't boot.
and during all this, I can't boot normally either.
at the moment I'm thinking I need some sort of full rom that can be flashed with fastboot. it may be possible to convert the flashable version from OnePlus (http://i.imgur.com/KvMHvaZ.png) to a fastboot one with a tool like sdat2img.py. But I got a FAILED (remote: Unknown chunk type) when I tried to fastboot flash system system.img with the new system.img I got from sdat2img.py
anyway, any help would be much appreciated - this is very annoying.
thank you,
Senan

You have to flash 2.2.2 with that recovery first. Just download it to your phone storage. Then your back into the game. I think what you did was flash OOS3 and changed bootloader. That is why you were having problems with twrp.
