No it won't. It only wipes if no new software is available and the only thing you can do is reinstall current software.
Make a backup just in case though.

Thx. Already try, there is an option, without wipe and with wipe. I choose just install without wipe, and my data still there.
Both my xperia M and Z2 can use SUS for update without loosing data, because pc companion cannot update them

Didn't know that SuS have exclude option for wiping.
Great if all working...
That's the thing I love about Android...if you know just basic rules, you can do whatever you want, try and flash many things...

Search and download "android commander"
Install it...open..connect your phone to pc. If your phone is rooted...then you already know what is recovery.(Connecting boot to recovery...attach USB..mount data, system partitions.
Open android commander.exe...application manager..uninstall "root uninstaller" OK.
Restart phone.
This should unzfreez those apparently what you freezes.
It this don't help...make FW reinstall.

I dont know what recovery is or how to use:/ I said I am new

I prefer the easier way to reinstall the firmware
coz i dont think that unistalling the (root unistaller) will solve the problem i think rename the name of the servise to freeze it
i found that.... how to boot into recovery mode? theunlockr.com/2010/04/26/how-to-load-a-custom-rom-on-the-htc-mytouch-3g/

[Q] X10 stuck on SE logo, flashing stock doesnt help

Hi guys,
I had a rooted X10 on stock ROM, however it started to lag recently and I've decided to restore it to factory settings.
Restored to factory settings, phone restarted and stuck on SE logo.
Flashed stock firmware with Flashtool, flashing went successfully, but still stuck on SE logo!
I dont remember the bootloader unlock status neither baseband version, its my mothers phone... For sure, I removed SD card. Tried flashing 3 times, no luck.
What should I do? Thanks in advance for all that will reply...

I checked those options in Flashtool, didnt help.
Could this be a problem with a bootloader? Is it being flashed separately, not in firmware? Or maybe Broadband?

Yod did make a nandroid backup before flashing a driver that says it may render the phone unbootable?
You should beable to entre recovery if you have a nandroid backup, will save doing a full wipe with a FTF

[Q] 17.1.A.2.55 to 17.1.1.A.0.402

It turns out my phone still has the .55 UK firmware, and there's .402 out, for a while now, and soon to be .314.
Whilst my phone was 100% stock, I have checked for any updates a handful of times and there was nothing new. Right now, I am rooted (and have Xposed installed) and I don't know whether I can still get OTA updates, but if not, is there a way to flash newer firmware without losing all data AND with a locked bootloader?

You shouldn't be able to complete an OTA update tho it may show up. Your best bet since you're rooted is to do a nandroid backup, update thru PC Companion, re-root and restore. I'm not sure whether a PC Companion update will kill your data.

My bootloader is locked. Any help on how to flash newer firmware? I'll likely wait for the latest one, .314 instead of doing it twice.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Download the latest firmware and flash via Flashtool. Make sure to untick the Wipe data option before flashing, so that you keep your data. After that, you'll have to root the phone again (use cubeandcube's tool). After the reboot, go to Xposed installer and "Update/Install" the Xposed framework (the settings of your modules will be automatically reapplied after the reboot).

Oh, so data wipe isn't mandatory? Sweet! I know it's ideal, if we're talking bugs, but I doubt flashing it would be any different to an OTA.
Thanks for the help. Gonna do this after work, when I have some spare time.

[Q] Bootloop caused by Removal of battery at Titanium uninstall

Hello,
I did an insane mistake. I successfully rooted my neo L. In order to backup apps and remove bloatware, I installed Titanium Backup.
But during uninstall of bloatware by Titanium I forgot to uncheck some crucial apps, and in panic, I accidentally removed my battery.
And then after I inserted it and restarted, I got stuck in the bootloop.
Symptoms-
1. No LED blinks
2. Cant get into recovery mode (power button press + repeatedly pressing up volume button)
3. Repears after SONY logo is shown.
I tried the following using flashtool, with no success-
1. Reflashed the "MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel" and "Neo L_4.0.4_MT25i Kernel Only"with using DoomLord's root toolkit in between..
2. Reflashed with "MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel" and "MT25i_4.1.B.0.631_KERNEL ONLY" with DoomLord's root toolkit in between.
Can somebody please help me???

That ftf didn't flash properly. I tried several times.
I solved it using PC companion finally. It wasn't detecting my phone earlier for some driver issue which may have failed to install. Anyway, it worked now, and I fully repaired the ROM, but lost data, as expected.:good:
