There is also a xposed module that enables Samsung Milk to work on any phone. The module is called "Chocolate Milk" and is in the repository.
Cool, didn't know that, thanx!!!

I've been looking for a good Equalizer to use on the DNA, I figured I would mess around trying to get DSP Manager to work tonight. Turns out I didn't have to do anything besides searching around and testing a few zips. I found a zip that works over in the EVO 3D forum. I take no credit for anything besides testing.
This does not remove the beats audio feature they actually both run at the same time. One thing I noticed is that you can't reach the equalizer from the play music app anymore, I'm not sure why that is. Also - If you have crappy headphones you can seriously damage them using this. Also you can damage your ears pretty bad as well. It is pretty cool I have a nice set of headphones with nice drivers, and I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, and the first song I listened to was pretty amazing. I think I almost blew my head off. So yeah, be careful.
Credit goes to the user "thebott" from the Evo 3D forum, that's who originally posted this zip as far as I can tell.
Thanks confirmed working with Play music and Pandora. It took me a long time to find one that works with Pandora on my Gnex. Brilliant.

Does it work with the phone speaker? Or just headphones?
Is it an apk? Or a flasable zip?
Thanks
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
It should work with both the phone speaker and bluetooth devices, as there's a separate page for each. I haven't tested either though perhaps someone else can report back after they have used one of these features. Also it is a flashable zip file. DSP manager must be installed as a system app alongside a few libs, which can only be done in recovery mode currently.
I love the android community. Thanks

Nice find. Sooooooooo much better than Beats!
Thanks....that beats crap blows. My music sounds good again.
Force Closes probably because I already had DSP manager installed on my device before.
Can't tell if it's working or not. I switched stuff around while playing music and I noticed no difference. Hmm

I have awakened. Hopefully someday you do the same!
You would definitely be able to tell the difference if it is working right. Are you running stock or the deodexed rom?
Stock...too many bugs on deodexed ROM right now. Or I say too many I don't think that's the case. When the video stuff gets worked out I'll flash it for sure

Yeah I feel ya about the bugs on the deodexed rom kinda sucks. But anyways, I flashed this on the stock rom and it worked immediately. What app are you using to listen to music?
Stock HTC player. Am I supposed to enable it on settings or something first like in aosp

Mine didn't show up under settings or in the music app under equalizer at first. I just played a song and then went back to the DSP and changed stuff. I noticed later (probably after a few reboots) that it showed up in the music app under equalizer all of a sudden. Never did check under settings.
Edit: Just noticed that you said stock HTC player, I was thinking you were using the stock google music app. It probably just doesn't work for that player. I've come across other apps that DSP didn't play well with. Try using google music and see if it works.
Combined with beats.. So much bass. FUARKKK

I like the DSM but it appears to have overwritten the Wifi Nag fix Can you see if it can be compiled with that as well, I hadn't tried writting the wifi fix again but will.. I suspect it may disable the dsm..
Try using neutron music player has the best eq and sound settings

I have been looking for a good music player ever since I bought DX, but yesterday I found this one, belive me, I have tried all other players out there but not even a single one stand a chance against this one,.disable all 3rd party equalizer etc. before using it.,beats audio is fine, actually beats audio enhance the sound quality with this one.....

..
use settings as per attachment, you can also enable 3rd one for more bass, but it will lower the volume...

Is there a chance to make beats audio working on our one max?? Can we just pull it from the HTC ONE??

I would be surprised if this doesn't get added...we just need to give it a little longer until more devs pick up this phone.

there are other audio enhancers that work..try Noozoxide in the Market..
I think the internals of the phone no longer has a beats amplifier and hence I wonder how effective the beats software will be. As suggest by others you can try other enhancers

The amplifier is a part I'd boomsound beats audio is really more software. I'm sure some dev will make a zip that can be flashed via recovery

Theres an app called beats audio installer is in the play Store and it works
I believe Beats Audio itself is actually a kernel feature.. If it couldn't be directly ported over in it's truest form then you have other options like "Awesome Beats" something like that which I believe is a port of Beats Audio..

Beats audio is only and only a EQ thing. Not so much.
AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING LIKE BEATS AMPLIFIER. Amplifiers that inside One, mini and max are produced by NXP and customized by HTC sound engineers.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895651
i am also attaching the file here for the purpose of comfort.
It seems like the app has been renamed to Fantastic Audio Installer on the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motioncoding.beats&hl=en
Be warned that installing this might create a bootloop or create some other issues.
Do a backup before the installation.
I assume you need to be rooted to use either of these..
sound is so good natively, not sure if adding beats even does anything to improve sound.

i converted my att htc one m8 to the gpe i love it the only thing it is missing is the fm radio app, i have tried a couple from the app store but they dont seem to work, does anyone have the one from the stock rom or one on the play store that they have gotten to work?
thank you
There's an app called Spirit FM somewhere on XDA that might work for you. I don't believe it is on the Play Store.
Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296
This app was written for the V10, but I'm wondering if anybody has tried it on their V30?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.lgv10.dacfix
This is old and was only for the Lollipop version of the V10. Back then LG only enabled the DAC for certain apps, while there was a bypass with voicemail if I recall correctly. However due to complaints or whatever LG made it so all apps use DAC when it is enabled now, so there is no point to get this.

Awesome. Can't wait to go back to power amp or something newer. Samsung music is decent, but it's missing many features I enjoyed on my G4. Some reason other music players on Samsungs don't play well with metadata transfers to stereos.
Yep you can now use quad dac AND EQ from other app. Gotta have that bass [emoji41]

Yep Jet audio HD allows for some great plugins. Gives user immense control of how audio sounds. I own most of the plugins.
The USB audio player app if you ever want to use a DAC. Interface sucks though.
For a free player I would recommend Sony Music app port. My favorite music player. EQ stuff don't work on ports but still the best player around!

I'm sorry, but this was a HORRIBLE review..
You didn't say when you can and cannot use the Sabre DAC in the system. What is good about it and what is horrible. You also fail to mention that the MQA playback ability really does not work and all 44.1khz CD quality PCM is upconverted to 48khz with awful artifacts. You also should mention that the only way to play DSD on this device is to use the very basic stock LG Music Player

I'm not exactly sure what that person was saying most of the time in that post so sorry.
USB player pro plays my DSD 2.8MHz files. So does that new HiBimusic app.
It also shows that it was paying back at 176400HZ, so I don't see a DAC limitation of just 44k or 48.1k.
The point is that the DAC now works with 3rd party apps, not just the native LG music app.

I would like to activate the DAC when I listen to music via bluetooth. is there a way?
