Hi Guys,
I'm building an app for android (Server Status) - it's currently in it's beta stage but would love if you would test it and suggest improvements etc.
This is your chance to get on board and contribute to an application that has been built on an X10 mini - none of this "too small screen" rubbish.
I welcome your comments and suggestions - it is a very simple application at the moment but will hopefully become something really useful to server administrators.
App Name: Server Status
Developer: Chris Priestland
Version: 1.14
It should be available for all X10 mini owners...
P.S. QR Code is in my avatar
I'm not gonna test it cause I know nothing about server, but I wish you the best for it
Well that's the beauty of this application - it just monitors the uptime of a website. It should be usable by people that know nothing about websites. So would be great if you could download it and see if it's easy to use or not.
Like i'm curious I've tested it, and wonder what "down" means. I imagine that is the status of the server, but I don't know what it's mean clearly. BTW, it's really simple to use and it's an light app that's is good too.
Glad you have tried it
Yes DOWN means that the server is not accessible via a web browser - so it shows you on the move that a website is not accessible - very useful for website developers / administrators - maybe this could be made more clear with a tick or a cross image?
Let me know your thoughts.

For people that know nothing about websites yes it could be a plus, by example just in adding a FAQ option when you press key menu, which will explain you the differents words of status.
Nice idea - will add it to my list for the update
If anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to post them here
Just installed and tested. You have a simple and easy to use app. Neat! Great Job Done.
Now, I can monitor my domain with a simple click
Glad you like it - there will be an update soon but need your suggestions for improvements.
The full version of Server Status has launched and you can get it by searching for server status on the market place or using the qr code below. It includes audio alerts, faqs, automatic updating and icons for UP and DOWN website status.

Hey nice app I've just try it on my x10 mini pro and it works well. I joined what other guys have said
I think you should upgrade it by make this app a small widget
It's just an idea.
See ya
Thanks for your suggestions - will certainly consider it. I have decided to offer this as a free application instead of a paid application.
If you have anymore idea's for this or a new project please let me know

Project:
Loop-Anime is a Anime Website directed to people that loves anime and watch multiple animes at same time. Usually, users have the tendency to lost themselves in the episodes of one or another of some show and its really difficulty to keep a track of whats have been seen and whats up to see.
There's when loop-animes comes in, loop-anime has a agile track system that helps users to mark animes they enjoy to watch or not and track their episodes along when they are seeing it. Therefore the user doesnt need to have a 3rd app to help him out watch the animes. Also the website has a video player builtin so the user can watch the episode and mark it as watched right away.
There are a lot more of personalisation’s and settings but lets stay by here.

This is not the place for this. This is a developers forum. Made for and by developers.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but hopefully someone has a good idea!
I have been using Touchdown for the past two years to check work emails on my phone. I recently upgraded to Android L, and lo and behold, Touchdown no longer works. Now I am on a quest to find a new app so that I can check my work emails. I have a few requirements / wants from the app:
[Required] Must support S/MIME. My company encrypts all internal emails.
[Required] Must support Android L.
Security policies should be specific to the app. I don't want work having any ownership over my entire phone.
The calendar and the contacts should be internal. I'd rather keep all the work stuff in the app
I found Nine, which looks really pretty, but it doesn't have S/MIME yet. They plan on adding it "soon". Does anyone have any suggestions for an app that works on Android L and support S/MIME?
bump
good question.
how is the situation? any solution?
Is there anything else that works with Lollipop? I have been having a hell of a time trying to find a working app. The only ones that I can get to complete authentication to my company's server is Nine and the official Outlook Web App Preview app.
BTW OP, try the Outlook app from Microsoft. It is possible that it will meet the requirements you are looking to set as minimum standards.
resume....
imho NiNE is THE-ONE!
it is all there: FULL EAS support (mail, contacts, calendar, tasks, notes) s/mime, multiple eas-accounts, app OR device policy-support :good:
also imho: by not supporting PGP or S/MIME by default, android really proves it's immaturity

Agreed! It really sucks that iOS has had S/MIME support for years in its built in mail client but not Android.
Then again, Apple does not rely on a business model which includes the need to spy on users messages.
We are Ken and Houtan, two developers building a personal trainer AI for wearables. Over the past year we've built out tech that can automatically recognize a user's exercises, like bench presses and squats, if they are wearing an Android Wear smart watch. We are launching the beta program for our app, YouMove, and are inviting members of the XDA community to join. We would love your comments and feedback on what we've done and would be thrilled to hear your suggestions on what we should do next!
Apply for the Beta!
We recently added the ability for the app to learn new user exercises, which we are really excited about!
Other features we are currently testing:
- Automatic, passive recognition of weight training, calisthenics and cardio exercises
- Tracking of exercises, reps, sets, resting times, calorie counts, and intensity
- Detailed display of a user's workout in a timeline on watch and phone
We know the XDA community can provide some great feedback on what we've made so far. Thanks everyone!

This looks really cool! I've been tracking my workouts using Google Sheets for a while now, but if this works, I could totally see it replacing that. I'll let you know more of my thoughts after I sign up for the beta and try it out a bit, but I was just wondering if there is a way to see your progress by exercise type in some place on the app. I've always roughly guessed how I've improved over time at, say, bench press, and I know that I can do it now if I really wanted to, but it'd be really cool to have it readily available on the app.
Looks interesting, may take it for a spin!
Where is the link for download? Also:
1. Will you be having only dark color for the app?
2. Does it support Android Wear independently without the need of the phone?
2.1. Does it support the internal GPS of Sony Smartwatch, for instance?

Current it is a closed beta, so once you apply we will send an email with a link.
1. We are switching to a lighter color UI on the phone. Sticking to a dark color on watch to conserve battery life.
2. Yes, it works on the watch independently of the phone.
3. At this point it doesn't support GPS. Right now we are primarily focused on weight training and calisthenics. But when we do hit cardio, we'll make sure to use GPS on the watch.
I'm interested in trying this out. How's progress on the app?
Link not working
I would love to participate but the link is not working
I would like to apply for the beta but the link is not working.
I mostly go sporting/gym 3 times a week.
Can i get a beta because i was searching for this kinda app ?
Thanks !

Denna
We are happy to introduce you our to-do list application Denna. Denna is a fully featured and productive to-do list for Windows 10 devices.
We live in a time where speed is everything, and with all that hassle, you can easily forget to get things done. That is when a planning tool such as Denna can come in handy, preventing you from ever missing any important appointments or other tasks.
Customize your plans from the very beginning
As soon as you open the application tool you are prompted with the option of inserting your private credentials, which fortunately does not require any third-party authentification.
The profile itself comes in handy as all tasks, both present or future, are attributed to it. Through the profile, you can see your progress and whether you've managed to become more organized or not.
An application with a minimalist interface
Since the purpose of the application is to help you save time, it doesn't bother distracting you with dazzling colors and confusing menus or buttons.
The whole black theme is a nice addition as it is also easy on the eyes while still being visible even in low light conditions (as we all know, most of our planning takes place during the evening or at night)
Watch as you become more and more organized
Denna keeps records of how much of your plans you've managed to accomplish, in the form of pie charts.
You add the task, Denna reminds you to do it, if you complete it, you just check the appropriate bracket. If you've missed out on a task, the application will remember and add it to your history.
This is an excellent feedback system as it subconsciously pushes you to continuously improve yourself and make you more organized.
More so, plans that have been postponed are stored in a separate area where they will remain visible so that they will never be lost to oblivion.
A simple but effective time management app
Given how time is a precious commodity which can never be recovered, taking care of how we spend it is the best thing we can do. Denna proves itself to be a simple yet efficient application that will always keep track of what you do, and reminds you of the things you haven't done yet.
Guess what? Denna is an opensource FREEWARE!

Because of the sync feature.
This app will sync your to-dos over your devices. You can add something on your PC and get it on your mobile in the fastest way.
I would try it if sign/synch isn't obligatory, but feature.
