Screen mirroring with chromecast? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Proper screen mirroring via Chromecast now working on stock Android devices, others in coming days http://www.androidcentral.com/proper-screen-mirroring-chromecast-coming-over-next-few-days
Well I am running custom rom on m8 and wondering if anyone is working on universal solution for rooted android devices. Is there a way to mirror your screen now or not?

I've been checking and haven't found settings yet. I think they do a little more than the Motorola RAZR does. I've gone so far as to enable the hotspot feature (paid) to compare it to the entries with it not activated and the only setting I found did not work - it still checked the entitlement.
You're in the wrong forum... This one is for the international S3 with the device number i9300.
Aftermarket Tethering apps should work fine though if you're rooted. Some custom roms may also include the feature.

Most of the aftermarket apps will work - but if he is like me he would rather be able to use the built in one. I know there is a widget out that will enable the built in one, but I'm not a java programmer and even after decompiling the .apk to a .jar I'm having trouble following it.
Anywho, can somone move this into the correct forum for the Verizon one then please.
Thanks.

My "New" HTC flyer

Got a "new" HTC flyer and it seems to be a dev device. It has an app called HTC ssd test tool, thinks it has 3g when it only has Wi-Fi, and no honey comb. Can I manually update to honeycomb for Wi-Fi only? Thanks in advance! I can post screenies later.

It should be fine of you have WiFi access. Otherwise I'd think it would be in HTC support on their website.

Yea but personally I have yet to find a nice custom ROM that doesn't slow the device down. My recommendation is stick with stock sense gingerbread as it is the fastest ROM out and most stable. And if you want, use the overclocked kernel to 1800 for an extra kick

Ice Cream Sandwhich rom?

Can someone please link me to an 4.1 or lower rom for the Galaxy S4 if such one exists. I've been searching forever and have yet to find one
There is no such thing, the S4 was shipped with Jelly Bean

As noted, the S4 started on Jelly Bean. Also, unless you're running the MDK build, you will have very limited ability to flash custom ROMs.
Ok thanks. I know this has been asked over and over. Is there any way at all to use bluetooth controllers such as a wiimote on my phone?
My phone is already rooted and on a custom rom.

Chromecast screen mirror? Touchwiz > GPE?!?!

Why doesn't the ZU GPe running stock 4.4.4 have this as a supported feature yet when Touchwiz and other non-vanilla flavors get it?! Unbelievable. S4 and M7 GPe show support...why not us?

Thanks but I'm not going to root. Its a stock feature for Nexus and some GPe phones and it should be rolled out to us. I paid full retail for a GPe phone and should get the same feature set the other phones get without resorting to root. If the S4GPe can use it the ZU surely can.

I don't know the reason for GPe not being supported, said more devices will be added later. You may have to wait until that feature makes it out of beta.

Wireless Charging ROM

Does any of the LP ROMs support wireless charging? I know Jasmine does, but I prefer a more vanilla Android ROM. I tried searching but didn't find a specific answer.

No non stock roms have wireless charging.
Please direct future questions to the Q&A forum where they belong.
Thanks
