Unable to overclock on DoomKernel - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just recently changed my old Z for a Z2, and I went to backup the DRM keys and unlock bootloader.
I flashed DoomKernel to be able to overclock but nope, nothing.
It just doesn't work, no errors or anything, all apps I've tried says that it successfully overclocked but the clock is still 2265mhz instead of 2457mhz, I can underclock just fine but it just won't overclock.
I have changed the governor to Lagfree.

Ive noticed you have to change the clock a couple of times before it sticks
The only app it actualy fully stays on is Fauxclock but even then it still misbehaves due to mpdecision so try changing to inteliplug
After this you shouldent have any clock issues

Huge problem, please help me

Hello
My galaxy s2 doesnt wake up after put in to sleep mode, back n menu keys light up but no haptic feedback, while screen is on, no problems at all. please help me as ive tried wiping, reflashing different roms, trying multiple kernels and setting clock frequencies to always be on 1,2 ghz.
You must have something installed, like SetCPU and the phone goes below 200 MHz in powersave mode.
To all,
Please don't play with underclock/undervolt/overclock stuffs too much, it can damage the device big time. This is a phone for gods sake, keep playing with Sandy Bridge CPU's, they will take your tortures.
Regards.
I do have SetCPU installed, though i haven't touched the frequencies or voltages until after this problem which was when I put the frequencies to 1,2 gHz as lowest and highest. I have discovered another problem where TW launcher gets FC as soon as I touch the screen. Will try to uninstall SetCPU if I get the oppertunity.
wipe and then install cognition s2, its a modem rom and kernel all in one so you'll have no problems. then once its installed don't install setcpu

Thank for your reply and all your help, I was insecure about custom roms so i installed stock rom amd it turned out great

[Q] Similar Set Frequency Apps

Does two similar cpu frrequency changer conflict and result in reboot?? Cause recently I used 2 apps setcpu and cpu control lite and witnessed 3 reboots back to back.

I use a value of 748 in SetCPU it works fine, if I put more, I get a reboot.
red led flashed
I mistakenly pulled the trigger and overclocked to 825 MHz I got freeze nothing working on phone. Then I reflashed rom with hot reboot......Was this necessary or was there another way out..????

Kernal Problem?

I recently switched my kernal from incredikernal beta 4 to anthrax. I made sure to wipe cache and dalvik before flashing anthrax. Everything seems to have worked perfectly but I noticed that when I try to lower my max from 1836, it never sticks even though I have it to set on boot. If I reboot my phone the bar is still set to my preference but above it says 1836. The min sticks, I just can't seem to get the max to stick. Is there anything that I can do to get my changes to stick?

If you're using SetCPU, try taking off perflock (There maybe the same setting in other CPU apps)

Same with CPU Master. If you have problems they say to turn off perflock.
Thanks for the replies! I'm using setcpu and it turns out the perflock must have been the problem because it's been keeping the frequencies correctly since I disabled.
Do we have to turn off perflock on kernels like the ones on Joel's ICS rom?

[Q] Setting CPU speed

Just a question, i am using the Phenomenal kernel (normal version) on my S3 and has tried to set the CPU speed using "setcpu" app to have the CPU running at 800-400Mhz, but no matter how many times i set or clear the data and reset, the CPU will still go to 1Ghz, is this a default setting by Samsung to have the setting set at least 1Ghz or is due to the Kernel that i am using now?

phenomenal kernel dosent supports OV/UV, that might be the reason. try nstools from market if you get the same result then its the feature of that kernel
Thanks... have tried it and still stay the same... guess its the kernel...

[Q] How to lock CPU frequency?

As title says, is there any way to lock the CPU frequency? Or do i have to flash a custom kernel? No matter i set the frequency to my desired max freq, the CPU just don't stick. I used several apps like setcpu, voltage control and kernel tuner with no luck.. i even turned on the power saving mode to lower the CPU clock, but still it bypasses it. The thing is, I still don't have the guts to try that since i'm still S-On and a total newbie when it comes to rooting, s-off, supercid, et al..
Btw, my phone is HTC One S with viperROM 2.2.0, but i'm still on stock kernel..
